There are a lot of murmurings in other topics about a FF sequel, either 10-3, or 7-2, or whatever you want to call it

If it came down to it, what would you prefer? And before any of you say it, YES there are many FF games more deserving of sequels, but those don't have the same brand appeal as the X and VII series

So, what do you want? A sequel to the bad fanfic from the HD Remaster of X, or a sequel to the bad fanfic that is the expanded VII universe?

I'm... honestly not sure. I'd love to see the world of X in proper HD, but I'd also like those random plot points like Genesis to finally be resolved in FFVII for no other reason than I hate not knowing

We can worry about Final Fantasy once the Seeker of Darkness Saga is resolved

I think it's safe to say that they would have to remake FFVII before making a VII-2 so for now I'll go with FFX-3 since it seems more likely.

Toriyama and Kitase have to be making something.

If i HAD to choose I'd say X-3But I don't really want either. VII and X are perfect on their own. X-2, in my opinion, shoulda never existed.... Neither shoulda Dirge of Cerberus or Crisis Core. But that's just me.

I agree with you 100% of the way. I'm thinking Toriyama and Kitase are making either Final Fantasy 16 or are Making FFX-3.

It's not about what's most likely, it's what you'd prefer

Some people want a sequel to IX, or VIII, lots want a VI sequel. a lot of people think an X prequel about Braska Jecht and Auron would be better, some people want ANOTHER sequel for FFIV, and I don't see this one much, but an FFV sequel could be cool

Probably still early for a FF16 but if it is FFX-3; hopefully they can somehow clear up FFX's good name

Ito is making XVI.

Lol. It's not. Ito's been working on it for years.

Ito doesn't do sequels and he's too busy with XVI. There's demand for a sequel to VIII? I haven't heard any. And all these games have solid endings unlike X and VII now because Nojima wanted to do a novella and audio drama and there's DoC.

Ah I see, sadly I don't know much about Final Fantasy and which teams are making which one. So thanks for clearing that up.

Not that's it's too early for it to happen, just too early for an announcement I think. I mean there still is not release date for FFXV, granted they did show all the fabula nova crystallis at once so, who knows...

They showed IX, X and XI at once. Haha.

Since there's no "Neither" option, and I really want them to let FFVII die with what little dignity it has left, I'd have to say X-3. Okay, maybe Yuna running around with guns and skimpy clothing wasn't a big draw for anyone (except maybe teenage boys), but the big picture I thought the game did right: what's life like after Sin? I'm a sucker for world building, so hopefully X-3 would continue like that. Unfortunately, talk about X-3 involves Sin returning, undoing everything Tidus and Yuna fought for, and completely ruining Tidus's integrity by having him die by kicking a bomb disguised as a blitzball. I can only pray there will be more to it than that. At least Yuna goes back to being a priestess.

They showed IX, X and XI at once. Haha.

True. Hence, who knows lol

FFX-3 first, the last game of that series. Then Remake Final Fantasy VII. Wait a few years before making Final Fantasy VII-2 which would be a prequel involving Jenova as one of the main cast and have the same battle system as FFVII and later make Final Fantasy VII-3 which is set 2 years after Dirge of Cerberus which will have the same battle system of VII involving a large cast of characters we've known throughtout the years. The main antagonists would be Genesis and Sephiroth of course.

Oh and don't forget about Dirge of Cerberus HD and Crisis Core HD which both will get the same treatment as Type-0.

....

I can dream can't I?

Haha. No worries.

Rather have a prequel to FFVI than FF VII-2, and FF X-3.
