So I'm just sitting here, rattling on in my mind on anything besides Kingdom Hearts. All of a sudden, it hits me: D-Link! Birth By Sleep used D-Link as a similar grounds to Kingdom Hearts 2 Drive Forms.  The use of D-Link, allowed you to borrow a friend's power and use it as your own. Through D-Link, Sora can borrow Ven's powers to use Drive Forms, even after returning his heart. D-Link could also lead to other new things for Sora.

 

I don't know if this has been discussed before, or if anyone else has thought this with this board being flooded with "KH3 Release Date" threads or "When do you think we'll get more news?" threads.

I think they'll still be usable without D-Link, they'll just be different Drive Forms that don't include Synch Blade.Besides, in BbS, D-Link=Summon and Command Style=Drive Form.

Since Roxas growed his own Heart, I think Sora can still Dual Wield after returning Ven's Heart. He has 3 hearts now.. that we know of at least

D-Link was way too easy to level up. I like the idea of using other allies' abilities though. Maybe they'll find a way for us to use them. 

 

During the presentation at the European Launch Event in London for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, the logo for Kingdom Hearts III was displayed on the screen. The host Dan Seto (Square Enix Europe community manager for Japanese titles) was ‘confused’ at seeing the logo appear, but then Tai Yasue (co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series) and Rie Nishi (producer of the Kingdom Hearts series) intervene and say they put it in. We were all reminded that we could NOT take photos or film at all throughout the presentation and especially for this. Then the Kingdom Hearts III teaser began…

A clip appears with a white background and Sora in his Kingdom Hearts II outfit, but changes to his Valor and Wisdom from outfits through out the clip. He is using one Keyblade and it transforms into the gun-like and canon-like weapons similar to ones seen in the 2013 teaser. Large angelic wings also appear on Sora.

As a mechanic I'm pretty sure Drive Forms themselves are being replaced with the weapon transformations (since no one wants recycled stuff), he may still wear the same outfits (or they could be placeholders til they design them), but Drive Forms in it's KH2 essence I can't see returning, nor would I want them to, if I feel like Drive Forms, I'll play KH2.

I'm talking without Ven's heart inside him. He can't just dual-wield for any reason.

Forms never required Synch Blade, don't forget Limit and Wisdom Form

It seems likely that there simply won't be dual wielding, abut instead keyblade transformations

Let's hope they'll find out someway Sora can dual wield, because I too want Roxas as his own person.
