Guys, GUYS, I don't know how many of you played with these things when your where kids but BIONICLE IS BACK!!!!

http://www.lego.com/en-gb/bionicle

I didn't think it would ever happen. I'm Just... I'm so happy. I LOVED building these things.

And now we enter a new chapter in the legend of The Way of the BIONICLE.

But now I wonder, is this a continuation, or a reboot?

They look so friendly compared to the old ones which were these awesome things. They are still charming don't get me wrong but just can't forget those originals

Yes, the originals where incredible, But think of this

BIONICLE was supposedly over, replaced by Hero Factory, and now they have a new story and new products!

OOOH! I wonder it Takanuva will return? Tahu, Kopaka, Onua, Pohatu, Gali and Lewa are. Though it seems like they changed Lewa from a Toa of Air to a Toa of Jungle.

OH MY GOD, ARE YOU SERIOUS??? I FRICKIN LOVED THESE TOYS BACK WHEN I WAS A KID!  I have all three Bionicle movies, and I saw The Legend Reborn too, and I got the two Bionicle games that had come out for the PS2!  I even have a stack of Bionicle comics from all the way back from 2002!  I have almost all the comics!  There's the Bohrok Arc, the Toa Nuva Ark, the Metru Nui Arc, and the Hordika, Pihraka, Barraki, Glatorian and Mata Nui arcs!  (I think I got all those down correctly.)  My point being that I love Bionicle lore!  From the badass Toa to the mysterious Makuta and many variety of creatures and villains, the Bionicle universe is a big one indeed!  Damn, so they're coming back!  That's awesome! This is like going back to my childhood! :')

Never really cared about the comics/movies/etc., but I frickin' loved to build the toys! I might get one when they release/when I find one.

There's a Master/Protector of Earth and a Master/Protector of Stone. Huh. Was it always like that? Because it's seems repetitive.

To be honest, I think they look kinda derpy compared to the old ones (simple is better) but maybe that's just my stupid adult brain talking. I just hope they bring back the cool badass commercials they used to have for Bionicle.

Bionicle is basically the definition of my childhood. Indirectly I owe so much of who I am to those toys. It's how I found out about Kingdom Hearts, even.

I doubt I'll buy the toys, but jsut knowing that kids'll have a chance to experience the magic like I did is pretty exciting to me

yeah, they always had earth and stone as different powers, it was kinda silly, especially when they started adding new powers like electricity, magnetism, vacuum, sound and the like, yet insisted on having two slots be essentially the same for the heroes

Aaaaugh I'm so glad people are excited about this! I've been keyed into that community for way too long, I lose perspective sometimes.

(again, obligatory, a plug for BIONICLEsector01 if anybody ever visited that back in the day, or wants to now!)

You could say the same about Ice and Water since ice is frozen water. Pokémon does the same thing, Ground is separate from Rock and Ice is separate from Water.

ice and water are pretty distinct though

Stone and earth are literally rocks and smaller rocks

Holy crap, I loved these things when I was younger. This is amazing. They don't really look like the old Bionicles, though. :/
