Keyblader 325 Posted August 3, 2010 -Kingdom Hearts II is not only the first (and only) game to have a changing Command Menu, it's also the first that let's you choose to use the original Command Menu instead. -Birth by Sleep is the first game in which the character's avatar doesn't change when you take damage or when your HP reaches critical levels. well technically the bbs menu changes a little bit during those special moves
hatok 6,413 Posted August 3, 2010 (Sorry if there is a thread like this.) This thread is just for the purpose of posting any firsts in the Kingdom Hearts Series. These are based on the American versions of the games. -Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories was the first game in the series to not have a difficulty setting. -Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories was the first game in the series to have Theater Mode after a successful completion of the game. This is all I felt like putting, so add as you feel like it. Chain of Memories has a difficulty setting. You can choose Expert.Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ was the first game to do this, though it was released at the same time, so I dunno. -Birth By Sleep showed the first non-Gummi Ship space travel -Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ was the first game to have Critical Mode Kingdom Hearts 2 final mix sold better in Japan then when kingdom hearts 2 came out worldwide.(that's alot of people!) i said american games and hatok, chain of memories was the first to have no gummi ship travel really? chain of memories has difficulties?, ill go check edit: i didnt see any difficulty option, so either thats what the two different save points are for or you must be mistaken -Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories was the first game in the series to technically take place in one world. I specifically said Space Travel. It's the only game where the characters don't use the Gummi Ship to travel space. -Chain of Memories was the first not have an opening at all Chain of Memories has a cinematic opening (when Marluxia aproaches Sora), but it's not CGI. Yes there is an introduction cutscenes, I should have been more specific, but I was refering to opening sequences with a song (Which was added to Re:CoM)
Sorage55 10 Posted August 3, 2010 I am sorry for being off-topic mates, I take full responsibility for this as long as my short memory allows, but shouldn't this belong in the "101 Thing you Didn't Know About KH" Thread? This is just a thought.

This is just a thought. that might be right, i wouldn't have thought so, i thought this was just for firsts when i made this, well if so then i dont mind if you ask a moderator about it, if it gets closed it doesnt really matter,
AnsemTheWise 1,114 Posted August 10, 2010 well technically the bbs menu changes a little bit during those special moves True. I was just thinking about the entire menu changing, since only the top changes in BbS. Yes there is an introduction cutscenes, I should have been more specific, but I was refering to opening sequences with a song (Which was added to Re:CoM) I figured that's what you meant. - Kingdom Hearts II is the first game in which Sora begins the game with two different finishers on the ground and in the air. (He uses Blitz on a single enemy and sweeps the Keybalde around for multiple enemies. In KH1, Sora always swept the blade until you learned Blitz.) - Chain of Memories was the first game to have more than one end credits sequence, but... - Birth by Sleep is the first to have FOUR! And while I'm at the end of the game... - 358/2 Days is the first game to not have any kind of real after-credits sequence. (It only shows Roxas standing in front of Sora's pod. What's that about?!) Keyblader 325 Posted August 11, 2010 I don't remember if anyone posted this but: Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories is the first game in the series to have no voiced cut scenes.
baylaust 2,531 Posted August 12, 2010 I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but: Kingdom Hearts II is the first game in the series to feature Limits.
EaglesFan887 11 Posted August 12, 2010 Kingdom Hearts Re:CoM was the first game to give postcards if you bought the game soon after release.

Keyblader 325 Posted August 24, 2010 Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is the first game in the series where your character could not walk, he/she could only run due to the minimal sensitivity in the movement pad*. *Lolz movement pad? /shot
