Is a coconut a fruit or a nut? It's insides are that of a fruit.... and its outside is that as a nut. It's name calls it a nut, but its insides scream fruit. So is a coconut a fruit or a nut?? Juicy goodness from a tree or just another nut from a tree??

If we WANT to be technical, a coconut is a "drupe", or "stone fruit". A coconut is actually, therefore, botanically in the same family as things like peaches, jujubes, apricots, and olives.

the coconut nut is a giant nut if you eat too much you get very fat, and the coconut nut is a big big nut, but the big big nut is not a nut its a coco fruit!
