I see a lot of people use this ability and I don't understand why. It is probably one of the worst abilities in KH history. It is slow and whiffs a lot. Giving your enemy a bigger chance to retaliate. Not to mention it looks ugly. Just trying to help.

It's got a decent attack radius, I would say, at the least.

There is a need when doing the data battles and the Lingering Will.

so it really shouldn't matter what moves you have for any of those battles especially since the majority is either mash the shit out of x and get out of the bosses attack range or combos, and for lingering will and some other bosses that i can't think of right now its just find an opening, mash x as long as you can and heal yourself.

Mashing X is terrible idea. There's actual strategy required as per the following video:
