so I'm playing kh1 so I'm in tune for bbs, and on the first fight with darkside, you know, the onw in the tutorial. Kills me. Given I am playing expert since I'm trying out an ar max. I didn't activae any cheats because I was waiting until atleat Traverse Town. But I didn't think I was that lame. I mean I made it through kh2 on expert the first time I played it with just the kingdom key because I never realized I could change keyblades until axel died. and by then I said "screw it" and finished with the kingdom key. Talk about epic fail. It's a good thing that battle doesn't really coun't and they let you continue on with the story even if you loose. My life is quite sad:'(

Well KH1 is harder than KH2 (I blame KH1's somewhat awkward combat, and horrible camera)

That just makes you realize how difficult battle system was back then.

I know someone who died fighting both the Twilight Thorn and Axel, you can't be more of an epic fail then that. And I've never played KHI so I can't really judge you on that but I've seen clips and it dose look harder then KHII

I still remember a couple of my fail moments. I remember in KH1, that it took my 4 wks of playing just to beat Maleficent and Riku in KH1 at HB. Even worse was that since it was my first playthrough ever, i didn't know how to equip abilities or weapons, so it made the entire game 10x as hard. Then in KHII, I remember dying on the first Axel fight because my mom's foot caught the controller and it smashed on the floor. Sad day for both of us:(

Yea my bigest fail moment wasn't even this, My dad and brother had seen the commercial for kh1 on the tv and bought it when it first came out. They both got stuck on Wonderland and when I played it I got stuck on Deep Jungle(or whatever Tarzan's world was) I got so frustraited I took it to gamestop and sold it. A few years later I went and bought a new copy because I had realised the error of my ways. It still haunts me though, until I realize I never turned off the ps2 and it's just the disk and exhaust fan going. So I basically played KH2 before I played through KH1.

they hardly used the right analog stick at all! there could have been such better camera movement, and the fighting style was just as awkward

my worst was VS cerverus on KH1 he killed me over and over until i realised all 3 heads were weak points

so that's how you kill Cerberus....I've been stuck there for months trying to figure out how to kill him without being killed.

 

( I've gone through 2 twice, and 358/2 once and have yet to beat recom or 1)

actually i have finished yhe firdt kh in hard several times, but un kh 2 i cant even finish twilight town

it mainly has to do with the variety of reaction commands available to you

and all the pownage combo aditions like explosion or guard break and finishing plus, lolz you can have up to three finishing combos if you have that ability and the rumbling rose keyblade

 

i also remember when i couldnt beat leon the first time you met him, he was kinda hard though

man i know the feelin the first time i was played kingdom hearts 1 i got stuck on deep jungle for ages but now i can do it at like level 10

yeah, having that helps me know how close an enemy is to defeat, if they are far away, im more cautious, but if they are on the verge of death, i head for the kill
