January 17, 201510 yr Much more than I did on the PSP. Honestly, games on handheld that play like console games are such a bother to me. I have to force myself to play through them and even then, I don't usually bother with the extra stuff.
January 17, 201510 yr I hardly enjoyed BBS in the first place, but no, honestly it feels like a bad port. The controls still feel like a PSP's except jammed into a DS3, the button controls felt mushy, and the analogs felt very restricted, and there were some major lag and framers tell issues with the Command Styles. Especially when there were things like cannon fire and monsters at the same time. So far I've only played through Ven's story, but the lock on tracking still feels very clumsy as well. It still feels like a PSP game despite being on a better system with a better controller. And it disappoints me. Honestly, it makes me feel like it might have been better just to contenue borrowing BBS to finish it rather than play through the PSP edition. Personally, won't be coming back to it, at least not on the PS3.
January 17, 201510 yr I really enjoyed it on the PS3 fighting some of the bosses on a console made the fight so much easier, especially against Mysterious Figure. And being able to lock on with one button instead of using both of the shoulder buttons on the PSP and shot lock was one button instead of both on the PSP was great. There are some issues of course mostly the loading times I have with D-links that aren't that bad it's just as bad as going into Drive Forms in KH2FM, and sometimes I would get some load times while trying to do a command move or a finish for some strange reason it would go into the stance that the character uses while using D-link but it wouldn't take that as long. All in all I say it was a good game to finally play on a console and should've been on a console to begin with but I still had fun with it on the PSP and am now having more fun with it on the PS3
January 17, 201510 yr Not really: I don't like the recolours on the Unversed, the controls feel stiff, the lag is highly annoying, and Rumble Racing seems impossible. While it's cool to see the FM material, I prefer the PSP version, and probably will continue to. It seems rushed: like they wanted to get it out ASAP. But it is better than nothing, but I prefer the original version.
January 17, 201510 yr I never had a PSP, so I played it on an emulator with a PS3 controller and it's the same^^
January 17, 201510 yr I never played the PSP version, but I found the PS3 version to be perfectly fine. EDIT: The load times for D-Links and Command Styles were annoying, though. Edited January 17, 201510 yr by DragonMaster
January 17, 201510 yr If only the ps3 version of the game had an online mirage Arena, that would have made me enjoy the ps3 version a little more than the psp version.
January 17, 201510 yr Yup, way better than the PSP version. Also, for the people complaining about the load times: Blame the Blu-Ray media, not Square.
January 17, 201510 yr I realized that you get too OP in BBS too soon if you engage in melding the commands as soon as you can (like I did) and thus it doesn't feel challenging.
Did you enjoy playing Birth by Sleep on the ps3?
