Cool! Welp, to each his own.

Personally, more than any other game on the market I'm looking forward to FFXV. But everyone has different opinions. Your money is where you feel most comfortable I guess. Just when comparing two games, there are good points and bad points of course. In many ways I am a fan of both series and hope each game does well in their own respects.

My opinions about Final Fantasy fans remains the same... that which I will not share here to spark arguments.

I dunno about the whole comparison of graphics between X and XV though... I would clearly say without fanboyism that XV, because it's built on better hardware, has better graphics.

I think fans don't trust Square because they haven't lived up to fans' expectations (some may defer *coughSora96cough*) but in Monolith Soft's case with Xenoblade X, Xenoblade came out with only one game in that particular series (can't speak for any other Xeno-game. I heard there were a bit) so their trust and hopes are pretty high.

inFAMOUS Second Son was a prime example of that. Short series, good story, didn't live up to the hype because the campaign was extremely short and post-game stuff was super repetitive. Unlike inFAMOUS 2.

Why Merc, whyyyyyyyyy?!?!?!?

Well... I see both having different levels of success. I do see Xenoblade doing well based on what we've seen for the game and hopefully the western release isn't too far off. As for XV, it's hard to gauge how well it'll do. No doubt it'll sell well, but I'm not sure how the gameplay and story will pan out  given some of the response to it from fans so far. None of us know the future so we can only sit here and wait for the time to come. I hope both games are good though :DYeah I can't defend the original release of FF14, but I still give them credit for doing a complete turn around. It shows that they still have it in them to make a great game.

If FF15 is good, it gives me one more reason to get a PS4 and enjoy more awesome content. More great content is always welcome, no matter from what source!

I love how the first page has people already dooming Final Fantasy XV because of the past "Track Record". That's just dumb.  Alas, you can look at FFXV as two things: either as Square Enix's game, or Hajime Tabata and Tetsuya Nomura's game. Look at what those two put out. Crisis Core was the best Final Fantasy game I ever played, especially when I found out what LOVELESS actually meant. I have the utmost faith in Tabata, hands-down. I'm not trying to knock down Xenoblade at all. Actually, I'm really hoping to get the 3DS version by April. Shulk had me impressed the first time I saw him. However, it does seem like they took a more MMO approach. Usually MMO stories are not too great and more focused on PvP, farming, and party-based stuff. However, I am keeping my fingers crossed. Might I mention that Xenoblade has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard? I respect both games. Not equally, but they both can deliver, honestly.

I'm just basing it on information we have now. If we had the actual game or story in front of me, I would likely have the ability to decide a few diffrent things. I don't "doom" it, either, but state it will just likely not have a story as well-made as Xenoblade X, which has developers with a recent history of good story lines being made. They are likely using the same story dev team as most main Final Fantasy games, much like Monolith is likely using the same team from Xenoblade, and proof is in the pudding from there. Stating that judging new content on previous content's level so successfulness is "dumb" isn't not warranted, it's basic-level prediction information, and thus when I'm predicting something, not just in gaming, I must use what is available to make a sound conclusion and prediction, and is part of a method of predicting things used by analysts. From what we know, we make predictions. On another note, I do believe FF15 will have a superior combat systems, that is something that Square dose the absolute best, for the most part. As much as I love Xenoblade's battle system, KH and FF games generally have better combat overall, and if I were to pick up one based solely on combat system, FF15 has my vote Based on what we have seen. I don't intend to "doom" it, per say, but to say that the likelyness of the team to develop a superior story is low. The game will still likely be fun and successful, but based on logic, it's unkikely That the FF devs will.

I personally have dificulty playing XenoGears, due to a large number of enemy appearance with little way to negate or lower them, and the begining plot is mildly strange, but I'm enjoying it. On the flipside, Xenosaga is one I have not played, but if you do play it, the story and characters are solid as well. Woo, let's plays.
