what is your favorite incarnation of link? im split between 2.

hero of time (child version) why? because not only is he the first link i ever played as, but he seems to have been one of the most equiped links in the whole series. in OoT? horribly equiped. in majoras mask on the other hand! he is one of the most versitile links in the whole series. just look at his masks. goron, deku, zora, and FREAKING FIERCE DEITY link pretty much cover all ground. also, he was in my second favorite zelda game, majoras mask. also, to be ohnest, i just find a special charm in young hero of time. i dont know why but i just think he is awesome! i dont know how to put it into words but i cant give him number 2. xD

hero of winds. not only is he from my favorite zelda game, (wind waker) but he is most animated. i understand link isnt supposed to have a personality and your supposed to inflict your own onto him instead, but when it come to hero of winds, they already did that for me. for me, that link is most relatable and just plain fun. when i play as him, i feel more immersed into the game then ever! i freaking love this link! i dont know how to elaborate on why i can relate to him most other than the fact that in the parts where he is given comedic moments, id act the same (or at least would want to act the same). but theres more to it. i cant say anything more other than i just feel the most in touch with hero of winds.

im split between the 2. i dont know which one to pick. xD but enough about me. what your favorite incarnation of link? if you want then you could also give a brief description as to why like i did.

My favorite is Twilight Princess Link, because I've always preferred adult Link over young Link and I really like his design in that game

While I like pretty much every incarnation for different reasons, I'm gonna go with Link to the Past Link.  He had a rough start, what with the wanted posters and having his only living relative die horribly in front of him within the first five minutes of the game.  Plus he turned into a pink bunny in the dark world.  After all of that, he's still a fluffy pink bunny on the inside.  What a great guy.

Hero of Winds (obviously) is my favorite incarnation of Link. Being from a timeline where the Hero of Time was only a legend, Link is an indirect descendant of said hero. The Hero of Winds is an extremely easy Link for me to relate to. I first played The Wind Waker around the time it came out. I was actually around the age of 12, which is exactly how old Link is within this title. Aryl seems to be about 4 years younger than him and for me, I have a sister who happens to be 4 years younger than me. Aryl is kidnapped at the beginning of the game, making an easy connection for me with a thought as simple as "what if something happened to my sister? what would I do?" This happens to be Link's call to action, a progressive decision as to why he should take on the journey ahead of him. Most Link incarnations just woke up to be told they had to be the hero. The Hero of Winds, however, woke up to celebrate his 12th birthday only to have his little sister, the only family he had left aside from his grandma, kidnapped right in front of his eyes. Link sneaks his way through a dangerous, monster-ridden, fortress without a sword in order to rescue his sister. He's proved himself useful to a king who was full of regrets. Said king gets Link to collect the  Master Sword in order to beat Ganondorf, although Link's goal was to rescue Aryl (and it remained his goal throughout the majority of the game). Speaking of rescuing Aryl, it was known to be Link's goal during the game. Not once was the intention to rescue Aryl neglected or forgotten like some drives for past incarnations had been at the time.

Anyway, the Hero of Winds is my favorite incarnation of Link because of how easy it was to relate to him and the amount of hard work he had put in in order to EARN his title as the Hero of Winds. The majority of the other incarnations were born chosen as heroes. This Link was not chosen, he had to prove his right to be a hero.

Oh yeah! He's also a 12 year old badass with no past experience in questing to save the world.

The answer is the Ocarina/Majora's Mask Link, primarily because the latter is one of my favorite games of all time, but I feel I should give a shout out to the Link from Link's Awakening. His adventure starts off in extreme danger, but even when he washes up on the beaches, he still thinks first and foremost of helping others, which is something I always like. But then, as things begin to unwravel around him, I just feel really bad for him. Without spoiling too much, there's a lot of emotional turmoil that he goes through, and the questioning of what is the right thing to do hits heavy.

My favorite Link is the one from Twilight Princess because I love his design. I think he was badass when I play that game.

THIS!!!!

I'm going to make this simple:

My favorite version of Adult Link is Skyward Sword Link (Sorry I'm bad with keeping official titles)! He was the first Link I got into the series with and just brings me the joy of getting to start out a full journey with him whenever I see him.

But aside from having Skyward Link, I love Young Link, Toon Link, and Hyrule Warriors Link. They are too awesome for being in the running for favorite Link. I really like how all these characters are who they are and they are just great!

The Zelda U Link is really growing on me. Love that design so much. Other than that, Adult Link from Ocarina of Time (was so glad to finally be able to play as him after doing all of the Young Link stuff) and Toon Link from Wind Waker are my favs

My favorite Link is Zelda
