April 7, 201510 yr Seriously, Joe KNEW this would happen yet he did it anyway! Plus, he didn't make the money to get the Wii U, games, and controllers. The money were donated by his fans so he didn't spend his own money. Plus, if he were to spend his own money, he would have made it back and then some with other videos and a review! I mean seriously, he gets over 3 million views a month and probably get 1000+ subs a month too that together would probably make over a grand. I get third party notice on some on my videos but you don't see me complaining and saying it's wrong and they should stop. I just ignore and keep making videos because I know even though I might get one or two, it won't impact me so much that I'll hate the company, I just have to watch what I upload.
April 7, 201510 yr Nintendo deserves to be criticized when it comes to this issue. They aren't with the times yet when it comes to YouTube. Nintendo needs to let people upload gameplay freely as long as the game is out. A countless amount of game are big because of the free advertisement they received from YouTube. And AngryJoe has like almost 2 million subscribers. I don't understand. Now is Nintendo is super greedy company? No. Joe overreacted a little bit on a few things that made HIM look greedy.

This is one of the things I hate about popular YouTubers. They get a lot of views/subs a month than when they get some notification from YouTube they go on a rant about it and say it's "unfair" when thry should know that they weren't even the ones who made the game, Nintendo did. All you're doing is just advertising and using their game to get views and attention. So Nintendo has every right to make that claim. Edited April 7, 201510 yr by Tails
April 7, 201510 yr Honestly, I feel that Joe is quite right. Nintendo is seriously being stupid. But Joe did know it was going to happen and shouldn't have done a video in the first place. Edited April 7, 201510 yr by Rainbow Dash
April 7, 201510 yr What I find worse is these people pretending like they're some news source by making a Youtube video telling you all about ANOTHER Youtube video made by somebody entirely different. It's one thing to respond to a video giving your own opinions, it's another to try to put together the 'evidence' and make it some kind of news story. It's some guy ranting about not being able to make Nintendo videos. Who cares? I don't need The Know to fill me in on this 'breaking story'. That said, while I usually agree with Angry Joe's reviews on games, I can't say I really respect him as a so-called business. If there's ever a day when Angry Joe or other people who make their living based solely off of donations and Youtube money end up going belly-up, I don't envy him attempting to get back into a real workforce. 'Quit job and made Youtube videos bitching about videogames for several years' won't really look good on a resume. Nintendo won't let him upload a half-hour Mario Party 10 video that he apparently spent near to a grand to get ready by buying the console, games, controllers, etc. It's not like he actually really earned any of that money, all or most of it was donated by his fans to 'support' him. It's like TheAmazingAtheist whoring out to his fans for them to buy him a new computer with donations instead of going out and using his own Youtube 'earnings' and doing it himself because he 'deserves' it for producing such wonderful content such as...sitting in front of a camera and bitching for several minutes. I know Joe's job isn't without its share of problems, but you can't really argue that it's anywhere remotely as difficult as 99% of other jobs out there. I mean, that's why he's worked so hard to keep this up, hasn't he? Because it's much easier to play videogames, write a script out and then talk about it for 20 minutes (along with convention appearances) than to have an actual 9-5 job you have to wake up early ever morning (or stay up extra late at night depending on the shift) to go to. A lot of people on Youtube do what he does for free. TL;DR: Joe is dumb but he makes decent reviews. Nintendo is also dumb but for different reasons. Edited April 7, 201510 yr by Kaweebo

So you're saying it's totally cool for some guy to play your game and make money for playing it on YouTube without your permission?
April 12, 201510 yr Jeez, I know most of the people on this site are kids who don't really grasp the value of money yet but c'mon guys. Even if you don't care about Joe, arguing against him is arguing in favour of a corporation being able to control what the media says about their product. That's a BAD thing for you. Wishing that someone can't put bread on their table is also a pretty dick move So you're saying it's totally cool for some guy to play your game and make money for playing it on YouTube without your permission? Getting a bunch of views liek Joe translates to above minimum wage. When a single one of his higher budget videos can't make money it's a pretty huge hit to his ability to pay the bills
