Wan Hazmer, the lead game designer on Final Fantasy XV and previously a game designer on Final Fantasy Type-0 has revealed to me via Twitter that his dream is to direct a video game.

 

Hajime Tabata, the director of both titles mentioned above has recently said he doesn't want to direct two titles at once again and has expressed he wants to do a Type-1. If Tabata does go on to direct Type-1 after XV and Square Enix doesn't want to waste the resources of XV they've spent a decade on Wan Hazmer seems like the perfect person to helm a sequel. Plus, he speaks fluent English like Tai Yasue, the co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series, which is very exciting for international marketing.

That depends on if they make a sequel though, I know they've expressed interest but there's no way to know for sure

 

Personally I find it kind of weird to talk about sequels for a game that has yet to release

YES!!! I hope we get sequel for both games. XV looks amazing and the characters in Type-0 deserve more than one side game.

I believe there will be sequels for both games. Type-0 sold well in Japan at its initial release on the PSP. And my hope is that XV will sell better than XIII.

I remember tabata(?) saying something g along the lines "we are considering type-1 if type-0 hd does well"

 

Type-0 hd didn't really do that well even tho it's a great game imo.

I'd also like XV not to have a sequel. A good game like IX does not need a sequel, or a prequel.

But then again, I really liked FFXII RW, and XIII-2... Darn. But it'd be nice to have a FF which does not have a trillion spin-of.  

Remember when main FF titles didn't have sequels?
