For those of you who don't know, Shantae is a creative-little-indie-2D-platformer (*whew*), a company called WayForward, that focuses on a belly-dancing half genie who is the Guardian Genie of Scuttle Town. As a result, she goes on a plethora of fun adventures that involve filler bosses, forced cosplay xD and other fun stuff to keep Scuttle Town protected from her nemesis Risky Boots and other hilarious villains.  The Shantae games are humorous, if not hilarous, series of games, and I believe they deserve much more recognition. The E3 2015 trailer of Shantae: Half Genie Hero, the latest entry of the series, appeared two days ago. https://youtu.be/szhhFGQ3rl0

Nope.Shantae dates back to GBC with the original "Shantae", then there are two other games "Shantae: Risky's Revenge" which is on iOS and purchaseable as DSiWare (and I believe is to date the best selling DSiWare, don't quote me on that), and "Shantae and the Pirate's Curse" for $20 on the eshop for Wii U and 3DS.

Shantae: Half Genie Hero will come to PS3, PS Vita, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Her games are good?

Her games are good?

Very. Finished Pirate's Curse just last week and was very satisfied. And the games are very well received by the press.

On the flip side, however, they're a bit short. I got through my first playthrough in 10 hours (And am on to New Game+)

And they're VERY funny.

Half-Genie Hero will have 4 Story modes featuring the cast.

The first two Shantae games you can probably skip, not gonna lie

the GBC one is dated, and the DSiWare one was clearly rushed to an insane degree (the game has two dungeons)

The other two though, they seems pretty stellar

I bought Pirate Curse not too long ago and beat it and it was amazing,my only problem with the game is that it was a bit short.I'm really excited for Half genie hero it looks great and I've heard that the DX version of Risky's Revenge is coming soon on Wii U as,so I'll pick that one up as well if its at a decent price, apparently its even shorter then Pirate's Curse,so I'm not sure if I'll really like it,but I'm sure its alright.

For a sec there, I was thinking about Half Minute Hero.
