It seems that no one posted this on here. Anyway, The Mario & Luigi universe is crossing over with the Paper Mario universe. Are you planning to pre-order it?

I dunno about preordering it, but I'm absolutely planning going to pick it up whenever it's released. So happy that Paper Mario is involved in an actual RPG again.

This is my dream Mario game, so yeah, I will preorder it!

I actually haven't heard of this until now, and it looks pretty sweet.

The only thing that looks remotely Sticker Star-ish is some of the art style; everything else looks like typical Mario & Luigi RPG gameplay.

Plus, and I doubt I really have to point this out, but we probably didn't see the whole game in the minute and a half reveal trailer. There could be plenty of other colored paper toads in the full game.

because previous paper mario games made use of toads with unique character designs because it had actual characters. Seeing only generic toads has me worried they're continuing the trend of no characters from sticker star

and I'm not going to assume the game has things not seen in the trailer, I assumed that with sticker star, and sticker star happened

On the other hand, if you assume only what you see in the trailer is all we've getting, then you might as well not assume anything at all and not bother to form an opinion based on so little information.

 

And hey, at least Bowser and Peach have speaking roles this time. That implies there's some sort of story they're involved with.

this doesn't look as bad as sticker star by any stretch, I'm just not gonna jump at the chance to support something that seems to be drawing on the sticker star portion of paper mario, rather than thousand year door, or even super paper mario

reports are already saying the gameplay literally has nothing to do with paper mario though, which is something I normally wouldn't consider good news considering this is a crossover

and yeah, trailers don't tell us everything, that's why I followed the news and updated my opinion accordingly.

Judging from the extra gameplay at the treehouse live show, it's really just Mario and Luigi; Paper Mario cameo edition. The regular/boss fights look the same, just with an extra Mario. I might get this simply for M&L itself and cry because I can kiss Paper Mario U goodbye.

Well that's Nintendo for you. They're all about being innovative with their games. I honestly, don't minds the gimmics (except for those stupid gyro controls in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. And hey, the newer M&L games are still cool and unique RPG's .

I'm not really sure how this will bring new life to the Mario and Luigi franchise, since they seem to be sticking with the same mechanics, just with an additional Paper Mario. Really, you could've just played Partners in Time and you'll have essentially this game. Only looks to add new Bros. Attacks so far. Here's hoping we get something better than what we've seen already.
