Why did they change Vaitas's name? Originally it was Chasers but now it's Vanitas. I know that it's suppose to make some sort of a connection between him and Vaitas but hy did they change it all of a sudden? Does anyone know something that could shine a light on this?

They didn't change it, it was never stated what "chasers" refered to but most people assume it refered to TAV collectively because Terra was chasing Xehanort, Ven was chasing Terra and Aqua was chasing Ven.

At 1:19 it says "Master of Keyblade, The Lost Two, Memory of Xehanort, Chasers" When I first saw that and then saw the MX and the other person come out I though those were the "lost two" and then when I played BBS and I heard that his name was now Chasers I was a bit confused at first.

Hmm, well, I don't think that Chasers refers to Vanitas, I think it more likely stands for Chasers of Darkness, or, as Isamu mentioned, it could be a reference to Terra, Aqua and Ventus.  But I highly doubt that Vanitas was named Chasers at first.

Chasers was just a general name. Like how Mysterious Figure (BBS) was then named YMX (KH3D) and how Unknown (KH1FM) was named Xemnas (KH2).

Its just a general name.

I believe Chasers were TAV and not Vanitas.
