Imagine. ventus and aqua battle terranort. defeat him. forcing xehanort out of terra's body. now terra can become a guardian of light. xehanort is now 1 darkness short of 13. who does he choose to replace terra? ROXAS. imagine, if roxas was a darkness it would surely affect both sora and ventus making them at the very least uneasy and putting there heads out of the game. it would be an incredibly good plot point.

Xehanort already stated Roxas was a failed candidate bc he became too self aware.

I would like to see "Dark Namine" and Roxas will be the one who saves her. Becuz the new Org. 13 needs more women.

Kairi's heart is pure. She has no darkness, so she can't be a vessel.

As Flaming Lea mentioned, Roxas was a worthy candidate, but in the end, became too self aware, and thus, he was no longer viable for being a Seeker.  And besides, Roxas didn't have the yellow eyes or pointy ears of Northood, so he's in the clear!

Roxas was already a candidate, but became "too aware" of himself and so the organization goes with Sora to make up for it. Vanitas is the only other person that we know that is dark enough to be a Xehanort.
