Seriously. I've had it with these live action movies of classic Disney animated movies. Hollywood is seriously ruining the classic animated movies with all these live action films. I hated the "Maleficent" live action movie and the Snow White one. Doesn't Hollywood understand that live action versions of animated shows or movies always suck? 

 

 

 

I mean seriously, a live action prequel? Who even asked for this!? They need to leave all these classic Disney movies alone  becuase live action versions of them ruin the greatness of the original. If you ask me this is just a cheap cash-in. I mean just watch, bet they're going to make Jafar a good guy and Aladdin seem like an evil dude and ruin the original films. Just like with the "Maleficent" movie.

To each his own opinion, I just don't agree with you! But I will say we don't need every animated movie to become live action, cause I think a live action Lion King would be impossible to live up to the animated one!

Yeah, opinions are opinions. But I just don't like when Holywood makes live action versions of animated tv shows or classic movies. they ALWAYS suck. Just look at Dragon Ball Evolution and Avatar the Last Airbender animated movies. Those films failed hard and are living examples of my point.

I'll be honest, I was ok with the begiining part because that did at least lead up to the story of the classic film. But than after that it sucked because they made Maleficent a good guy, and turned the king into a corrupt evil person. And the three fairies in that movie  kinda felt a bit evil as well. I just didn't like it all that much, personally.

I liked the Wizard of Oz prequel. it was actually pretty good, and like you said, didn't do anything that destroyed the original movie.  But I'm veeeeeery scheptical with this announcement of this new live action movie. I just don't think it will be any good from what I've experienced with other live action adaptions of animated tv shows and movies. And that's what I extremely hated about the Maleficent movie. She was a freaking good guy. I mean seriously, since when was maleficent good!?

Shouldn't this be aimed more specifically towards Disney themselves since they're the ones giving all these live action re-imaginings the OK? I thought all these live action interpretations of their classic animations was something they were in total support of. 

I pretty much jumped off this entire ship when I realized that "Pan" was going to be a thing.

wow...no, just no. I'm one of the few who enjoyed Maleficent, and even Cinderella's new adaption, but that idea seriously just sounds...bleaugh. It doesn't even sound good enough to be a Disney Press novel. 

disney does need to consider cutting back on the live action remakes, I think.

Live action isn't inherently bad, but it's tricky to adapt something that was originally animated. We're not used to seeing familiar characters and settings in a real-world environment and it just seems wrong... eerie, almost. 

 

If you're going to make a prequel to a film, it's best to do it the same way the original was. I get that live action used to be cool and trendy, but nowadays a lot of people prefer animation anyway. When it comes to trying to please an audience, stick to what you know they'll like.

I agree. Disney is seriously going over board with these live-action remakes of Disney Animated Classic Movies. Alice in Wonderland 2010 was decent so I like it. Then Maleficent came out and it was terrible in my opinion. Then Cinderella but I won't say anything about because after watching Maleficent I refuse to watch Cinderella live action movie. Now Disney is trying to make a Mulan live action movie, a Dumbo live action movie with a writer who wrote Transformers Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction, a Chip and Dale live action movie, and now a Genie movie that is prequel to Aladdin movie? Serious how can they make is live action movie a prequel taking place before the first animated movie? And who can take the role of Genie? Robin Williams made Genie a memorable character so who's going take his place? While I agree that I don't like Disney making live action movies of their classic animation movies but there's we can't do. You know why because that's Disney new thing now, making live action movies of their animated movies because new these live actions movies are making money. Let's face it Disney is making money off these things so they want to continue with this strategy, especially since new generation of children are going to watch them. However the only Disney live action movies I'm going to watch is Beauty and the Beast because of Emma Watson and the all star cast, and I heard they're trying to stick close to the animated movie. And the Jungle Book because they have an all star cast, so I want to check it out. *Sign* It is what it is.

I'm not upset that a live action movie was made for DragonBall.

 

I'm upset because an cinema atrocity that spits in the face of all DragonBall fans was made.

 

It was so bad, it partially inspired the original author to get back on the horse and help pump out more DragonBall content after he himself was burnt out on anything DragonBall due to behind-the-scenes issues.

 

He even sent Fox a script for what the movie could have been, but it was rejected. You have to be either stupid or really inconsiderate of the overall series to do something like that.

Lol Live action moves are just bad....... Ex. The Avatar the Last Airbender Movie. It took like 5 people to move a rock!

Where you Mad that not all the voice acorn where Asian? It's a bit unrealistic to expect every character in a live action move made in America to be played by and Asian actor. There are only a handful. I can't really think of any besides Ming-na (who does mostly voice work) Lucy Liu, that guy from one of those crime dramas and the one from The Hangover trilogy.

All of them. Like I said, none of those movies where made by Disney. Disney has yet to adapt Snow White into a live action film, or even announce any plans to do so.
