The new maps in KH3 look huge

so Sora's base movement speed better get a bump. Right now it looks like he moves roughly KH2's, but that's not good enough. You need improved mobility to deal with big areas like what we've seen in KH3 so far

I rather want him moving slow like in KH1 and Recoded. It really made you to fully experience the world instead of just going to the boss of the world.

That's why we have free run and flomotion.

that helps you with vertical movement, but doesn't do a thing for actual travel speed

that's something that can only be good until you actually want to get somewhere

To be honest, I don't really care if he'll be faster or not. Now that we're finally gonna get open worlds, instead of multiple stages separated by loading screens, I would adore running or even simply walking through the world to see how amazing the worlds can be with the new amazing graphics and the open world and enjoy the moment of how far KH has grown. :D

Flowmotion definitely helps for travel speed and he looked pretty fast to me in the trailer. It looked like his normal speed was the equivalent of his KH2 speed when enemies are around so that's good.

Flowmotion is functionally the same speed as walking, and it requires a wall to bounce off of in the first place. Not great for when you want to get from point A to point B

and KH2 walking is good for KH2 sized stages

KH3 is much bigger

sounds great until the spectacle wears off and you just want to get from one place to the next

There's always gliding or just air dashing. But running at a slow pace should happen.

You could get pretty far pretty fast with flowmotion in 3D. It was definitely faster than running.

That never really happens to me in any game. I know that it will take me a LONG time for me to just want to get from one place to the next cause I'm patient. But that's just my personal take on it and no one can really change my mind on it. :)

You never know, the Haste ability could return...

I'm fine with the way they have it currently with KH1&2. Slow enough speeds to make you enjoy the levels through your first play-through. Then post-game you get super-glide and moving about is easy. The last thing I want to do is rush KH3. Who knows how long till we get another. Hell, who knows how long until we get 3

They'll just add the option to ride chocobos.

...I don't actually know how I feel about that :P

Gliding is a late game ability, and no, it really shouldn't

Faster the moment you use it, but then it comes to a complete stop unless you touch another wall

That's becuase all the other games had significantly more compact areas. This is'n't an OLD problem, it's a new one that comes from the new size of the worlds

I'd very much support this

It works fine in KH1 and 2 because everything's on a smaller scale

this isn't about rushing, it's about it not taking an hour to get from one end fo the stage to the other

it's about time, considering they've had moogles since day one

As someone who plays some MMO or open world games, it isn't as great as it sounds. Sure I am not expecting sonic level but its gotta be faster than it is now. Even if we have access to flowmotion, glide, etc. Its good to have a bit quicker running speed, maybe even a momentum mechanic which would be iffy though due to the access to so many movement ways.

When I said "any game", I didn't mean any KH game. I meant any other video game in existence. Again, I don't really care about this problem. I want to explore the world at whatever speed I want and there's nothing that anyone can say that would change my mind about it. :) If we get an ability to travel at super speed, I won't use it, cause I want to explore the worlds and enjoy the environment.

well there's an easy way to take it slow

don't tilt the analog stick all the way

Exactly. I could easily just do that. That's what I've been basically saying.
