ok so its my first time through KH1 and i managed to get through Malificent the first time before the encounter with riku/ansem (xehanort for those who want to be specific) and the walkthrough i usually use just said run around in circles hoping not to get hit. any help will be helpful cause i dont even last a minute.(which is very depressing)

stay back to the wall when you aren't attacking and glide away when she uses her fire breath, and make sure she doesnt hit you with the shock waves when she moves or when she jumps up and spins

 

attack with caution and then use healing magic or items when necessary, you could use the tinker bell summon since she heals you and brings you back to life when you die which is handy, but i have to say that ive never used it,

 

if you are close to killing her then attack with swiftness but yet take caution cuz it could be over just like that, trust me it happened way to many times for me, almost had her then boom i died

I recommend starting the battle off with summoning tinker bell since she heals you until the battle is over or until the first time you run out of health. If you run out of health, she will heal you completely, though her summon will end. Also, cast your Aero spell to help minimize damage, recast as needed. Try to have the cure spell on the short cut menu, preferably the X button, that helps with me since it matches up with the attack button. And try to memorize her moves as she attacks to help know what to look out for. other than that level up, if things become difficult.

You know summnoning Tinkerbell resulted very very helpful to me when i fought. You can back off and remain behind spiked branches and heal yourself. Hope it helps...

yeah i always put cure on x so i can just easily cast it

there a place in the wall where you can hide and not get hit find that stay there and let beast and Donald beat them then when they get her week

get on a thorn vine and use bambi then genie

what i did: before battle put donald and beast in and equip MANY healing items

during battle: pretty much what the others said and use every opening with caution. i used the keyblade from the olympus coliseum.

BEFORE BATTLE (make sure you have the following requirements):

First off, DON'T PUT BEAST IN YOUR PARTY! True he has great strength but will die off in double the time of Goofy. So if he's in there switch with Goofy. So D&G in party, most of yours, Don's, and Goof's item slots should be filled with Hi-Potions, one Elixir per each, and a Megalixir in your slot if you want. Put Cure in the shortcuts with X or Triangle.

 

IN BATTLE:

When the battle starts call/summon Tinker Bell immediatley. She constantly heals your HP throughout the battle and will save you ONCE if you run out of HP. If she saves you, her summon will end so be careful of your HP level. Most of Malificent's attacks can be avoided easily. You can also jump on her back to aviod her attacks but if she spins around there's a good chance you'll fall off. Easily put, Air Combos+Blizzard and Cure magic will help but be careful. Hope this helps;)

You should always use tinkerbell in all the battles the moment you get her shes the best summon in the game...

I found a cheap way to do that fight. When the battle starts just climb the spikes and get to the top middle part and just sit there while donald and goofy attack. When she shoots here green crazy follow you fireballs just use guard and shoot them back at her. Then all you have to do is finish her off with one final attack.
