Square Enix is no longer publishing Call of Duty in Japan. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia will instead be publishing it, like they have been for Destiny. As a result, there will not be Xbox One or Xbox 360 versions released in Japan this year. 

 

It is unclear if Square Enix's partnership with Activison is over or not.

So.......Call of Duty franchise finally ended in Japan? 

Considering that the Xbox in general isn't very popular in Japan from what I understand, it probably won't have any sort of major impact if the series is kept to Sony systems only. Sucks for the fans who played it on Xbox, though.
