Radiant Garden- Keyblade Academy

 

Ordinarily, the Radiant Garden Keyblade Academy was rather quiet, at least by the standards of a school. Not much happened, and it was rare for any sort of exciting events to happen in the years of peace that the world had experienced. However, on this particular day, that was about to change. The Masters of the Keyblade Academy were about to send a group of students off on what would be the most important journey since the one taken by Master Sora and his friends in the past. The previous day, almost 20 students had received letters from Master Sora. Each letter shared the same message, though with slight alterations to include the name of its recipient:

 

Dear (Student),

 

Hello, this is Master Sora. I would like to let you know that you have been selected to participate in a very important mission. This journey could take a short time, or many months. I apologize if this interferes with your busy schedule, but you will be excused from all missed lessons during this time period. I would like you to convene just outside the Academy tomorrow at noon, by the fountain. You will receive further instructions at that time. I wish you and your fellow companions the best of luck on this journey!

This particular letter and mission were unknown to those who were not participating, unless a participant had informed them ahead of time. It was just the small group leaving on this quest who had any sort of knowledge as to what they were about to face...

 

 

Indy arrived at the fountain early. He hated arriving late, and as such, arriving at a meeting very early tended to become something he'd been known for. Noticing that no one else had arrived, he decided to sit down on a nearby bench, waiting for his fellow students to file in. He knew that his best friend, Raidyn, would be going along with him. Aside from that, he had no clue who all would be joining. He just hoped that they would all be ready for whatever they'd need to face. As he sat, he became lost in his thoughts. This mission could potentially mark his first time ever leaving his home world of Radiant Garden. He could finally go out and see more worlds. He could meet new people. Most importantly, he might finally have a chance to track down the person he'd been trying to find for years... He managed to look calm for the most part, though he could feel his hands shaking with excitement. This could very well be the moment he'd waited years for.

"Of course, and I think I picked up a new trick, too. But let's try to avoid using it..." He whispered back. "So... How does this work? Is there like a timer or something that says "start" or whatever? I've never done any sort of tournament except in card games..."

 

"I dunno. But either way, I'm rarin' to go," Raidyn said, summoning Thundershock.

Mt. Olympus

 

"Hey, let's get going already! Cut the chatter!" Phil called out to the three in the arena, seemingly answering Sandrew's question regarding when they'd start fighting. Between losing a competitor and all of the talking going on in the arena, Phil was beginning to grow impatient. One of the competitors still had yet to arrive, too...

 

"No problem, Toshi." Indy responded to Toshi. "It would be fun going up against you and seeing what sorts of new moves you've mastered since the last time we practiced together."

 

 

Andes Mountains

 

The Stealth Sneak noticed Lisa's taunts, but didn't go with a more predictable attack. Instead, it decided to try tricking her by firing off more bolts of energy at her. After doing this, it jumped over to her, hoping to crush the traitorous Heartless beneath its feet.

"Oh, OK." Sandrew yelled, waving to Phil. "Raidyn, you first." Sandrew gestured over to their opponent as he began setting up for the first Stone spell

Lisa looked back, freaking out by the bolts. She jumped from left to right, trying to dodge the bolts. But one of the bolts tripped her and then she fell down. Lisa tried to get up as fast as she could, but she could already see the shadow covering her. Lisa looked up to see that the giant Heartless was already descending down on her. She closed her eyes to avoid seeing her death...But then she felt herself being pulled away out of the darkness and into the light. She opened her eyes to see that Saki was standing in front of her. He had grabbed her tail and dragged her out from being defeated. The left side of his face could be seen from her sight. "Are you okay?" He asked. Lisa nodded. Saki looked back at the Stealth Sneak, but this time....With a serious look.

"That....Was not cool. No more tricks. Just you and me Stealth Freak!" Saki pointed his Keyblade at the beast and smirked.

 

"So...May I have this duel?"

Joel only watched as the scenario continued to unfold in front of him.

He turned to Max. "Perhaps we should be backup for the time being..." he said as he turned back to the fight. "Maybe it's time to see what this guy can really do," he added with a smirk.

"Nope!" Annistha replied to Sandrew.

Summoning her Keyblade and pulling out her Gunblade in one fluid motion, the Light Twin ran a few steps, then jumped. She tucked into a dive and roll that brought her right between Raidyn and Sandrew.

[Nexus Shift]

Zather came out of the roll, using the blunt parts of his blades to take out Raidyn and Sandrew's legs from out beneath them.

"We'll go first." The Dark Twin said with evident satisfaction.

He then followed up his opening gambit with two down ward slashes, one for Raidyn, one for Sandrew.

"Nope!" Annistha replied to Sandrew.Summoning her Keyblade and pulling out her Gunblade in one fluid motion, the Light Twin ran a few steps, then jumped. She tucked into a dive and roll that brought her right between Raidyn and Sandrew.[Nexus Shift]Zather came out of the roll, using the blunt parts of his blades to take out Raidyn and Sandrew's legs from out beneath them."We'll go first." "Rude. Fine, my time then. Reflect!" The slash was repeled by a barrier of light, surrounding himself and Raidyn. "Go!" A tower of earth punched Raidyn out of their range and Sandrew summoned his keyblade, a long, heavy looking, thick blade, and he threw it right at Nexus. He channeled another Stone magic, sending him high into the air.

"Oh! Here comes NexUUUUUUUUUSSS...!" Raidyn yelled as he attempted to block the oncoming strike but instead let Sandrew's spell protect them both, following his launched into the air.

Sandrew called another Stone pillar under him, sending him over to Raidyn, where he grabbed Raidyn by his angles and threw him back at Nexus.

 

"Reflect!" The orb was cast on Raidyn, hopfully bringing Raidyn back into the game.

"Incomin'!" Raidyn said, as he brought Thundershock forward and attempted to slash straight through Nexus as he descended.

Zather glared up at Sandrew using the stone pillars so. And the reflect made thigs difficult, but not impossible. In an instant, the Twins had conversed in their heart link, coming up with a strategy.

Annistha was in the process of switch the Gunblade into gun mode when Raidyn made his move. She grinned as she once again threw herself into a forward roll to dodge the Thundershock.

Zather used the momentum of coming out of the roll to aid to his strength as he slashed through the rock pillar Sandrew was on with his Keyblade, causing it to pitch forward to land on Raidyn.

Annistha pivoted and fired a volley of bullets in front of Raidyn, kicking up dust in hopes of temporary blinding him.

Sandrew fell from his tower, yes, but that wasn't exactly a bad thing in this case. A pillar of earth shot right into the bullets, and into Nexus, sending them flying back, with another pillar following that up. Then, they would notice that Raidyn came out unharmed, the Reflect was able to nullify the damage from the pillar falling on Raidyn. However, this was the least of their worries. Sandrew now shot above them with another Earth pilliar, and summoned his Keyblade again, throwing it's weight forwards, he was able to spin like a sideways top towards Nexus, Keyblade ready to send them flying out of the ring.

"More close calls. I better get serious," Raidyn said to himself as he sprang onto Nexus again. Keyblade in hand, he tried using a basic string of slashes to pull the momentum of the battle towards his and Sandrew's favor.

Suddenly skyborn thanks to Sandrew's intervention, Annsitha groaned from the sudden jolt the body had taken. Stabbing her Keyblade into the follow up pillar sent at her, she used it to pull herself onto the pillar so she was riding it rather then being carried by it. She pulled the blade out of the pillar and turned to see Sandrew rising to meet them.

"More like snake eyes!" Annistha yelled back as Sandrew began his spinning.

She somersaulted over Sandrew, letting him spin out into air on his own, luckily just as Raidyn came in for an attack himself. A collision between the two team mates was almost inevitable. She landed on another of his pillars, then jumped off for the ground.

They collided. One could only imagine the horrific sound of two reflects clashing. 

 

"Earthquake!"

 

Three pillars of Earth shot right at Sandrew and Raidyn, smashing into the Reflects. By now, everyone was either deaf, or bleeding from the ears, but that was a result of a darn powerful attack.

 

"Raidyn, Thunder us, now!"

"Roger that!" Raidyn said, lifiting Thundershock into the air. "Thundera!" He cried, summoning several bolts of lightning to rain down upon the area.

Raydin's Reflect ran out, as Sandrew reached over and grabbed him, giving him a push to the front. One more earth pillar, and Sandrew's spell gave out, but he decided to use the Burst portion of Reflect now, shooting Raidyn, who was already in Melee range of Nexus, right at Nexus faster than Raydin was moving in the Guard Armor fight earlier, slamming Nexus as hard as they possibly could.

Being the faster sprinter, Zather took control and uped the speed. They had planed to stop and reface Energy Stone, but the increasing sound and lights made that unwise. Only when he felt the trimmer of the ground caused by Sandrew's power rocket did Zather change tactics. Realizing he didn't have a lot of options, he went with the old adage of 'if you are going to die, take someone with you'.

Annistha dropped the Gunblade and gracefully leapt into the air, spinning around to face the oncoming Raidyn.

With just his keyblade, Zather managed to deflect most of Raidyn's hits, but a few got through, but that didn't matter. His free hand shot forward and grabbed Raidyn by the throat. He yanked Raidyn forward, the added momentum causing both combatants to tumble uncontrollably for the boundaries of the arena.

In the final moments before ring out, Annistha wrapped herself around Raidyn, ensuring that if Sandrew tried in a last second save for his team mate, he would also save the Nexus Twins.

She had been watching the fight...but something caught her eye.

"Be right back." She told Indy. Getting up, she started sneaking over to see if that personw as friend...or foe.

She gently cupped Allitt's cheek with her hand.

"...They're not your face. Yes Nephilim is beautiful, and I'd like to date her. Yes, there's another on the way I'm sure I'd absolutely fall for. But there's something about me I've come to accept, that Xion and Luna accepted and supported without ever making me feel horrible. That my heart is so big, I can't love only one person. That my mind is so scared, I can't only have one. And that I fall in love at first sight, and can't help it..." She then lightly slapped her. "And you are still related to a student of mine, so you are stuck being related to a student of the Academy. You may be right about other people, but if you died Indy would cry. Rei would cry with her friend. And I'd cry, because medammit I can't help but want to see everyone happy. Especially girls lost to darkness masquerading as light."

Sandrew breathed heavy, his strength was nearly drained. There wasn't much he could do, but what he could, he would. He rushed up to the three of them, mid-flight, and grabbed hold of Raidyn, and then throwing his Keyblade downwards, forcing them all to the ground, however, as they began to land, Sandrew turned Nexus to the ground, using Raydin as a makeshift hammer, and crushing them down. He followed this up with one last earth shot, knocking Nexus off of Raidyn and out of the ring. Afterwards, he passed out, with no energy left to fight any more.

Artemis merely stood aside as something...interesting unfolded before him. An effective strategy....maybe, he could not make his mind up about it at all.

"...what am I looking at?!" He thought to himself, very slightly shaking his arms in a very confused manner, then decided to interject.

"Do you need me to do anything? Or are you covered?!" He asked aloud.

 

-Luna "Nephilim" Urbane-

 

Luna also couldn't help but stand there, not just because of the...unique nature of the attack, but her thoughts were also lost in wonder...

"This is strange.....hmm....ohhhh, how is Zion doing? How's Allitt doing? How's Artemis holding up? Why....is Zion just so....beautiful....holy shit, I am falling for her....but why now? Or....have I always liked her?" She contemplated, but kept paying attention.

While there was some grunts of pain from Annsitha as Sandrew slammed her down then with his shot of earth, she remained wrapped around Raidyn, one hand firmly on his collar, her blade arm around his torso. Even her legs attempt to get around his. Sandrew's original slam would have been enough to stop the ring out, but his final earth shot propelled both Annistha and Raidyn over the edge for a ring out.
