Will Unchained [chi] have the entire story?

Posted

I haven't been paying too much attention to all info for this game so maybe this has already been answered but... Will the game be complete and have the full story in it? The browser version keeps getting updates and adding to the story (which I assume has not reached the end yet). So will the launch of Unchained bring the entire story of the game?

I don't think so, it'll probably have updates too to improve the longevity of the app

The question is will it have everything the browser version has at launch or will they have to play catch-up?

No, it'll probably keep getting story updates as well. iPhone games and browser games aren't all that different, especially when they're both MMORPGs. This is why Unchained X works so well on smartphones, but that also means that it will follow similar updates and scheduled events. It won't be that bad, maybe since the original mold already exists (regular X) there won't be as many updates related to gameplay features, unless they plan on introducing new things that were't even in the original. Story updates will likely continue, but maybe they won't be as rare as they were with X, but they still need enough time to allow X's story to advance before Unchained X can completely catch up. I mean, there's about 2 years between them so that won't be too hard, but it's still important to consider. It's also worth mentioning that most of X's planned features have yet to be implemented as of yet (that tower challenge thingy for one thing), so Unchained X will always have to be AT LEAST one step behind until X can feel comfortable enough to say "alright, all finished! You're turn!" But don't worry, things will pick up in time. Right now I just care about how soon we'll be able to get our hands on it. Once we do, I'll be patient enough to put up with any delay between updates, it'd be good excuse to crazy level up like Everglow has. Hopefully we'll be able to get Unchained X before the end of the year! Oh, and hopefully they won't be such d!cks about the in-app purchase prices, I don't want to have to pay $50 for something that I will CRUCIALLY need to progress further through the game (I'm looking at you Sonic Runners...).

I hope not, I personally like cliffhangers and the suspense, it makes it more exciting when new stuff does come out :) and I also love the fact that that extends gameplay, giving us something to do while we wait for kh3  :)

I hope the game syncs progress well with Game Center. I'm a dev so my phone is usually going back and forth with restores and I don't want to lose game progress.

I just hope that when I finally get my hands on Unchained Key, I can play it without any hiccups, and that I can be able to experience the story of the game from the very beginning!  Gahhh, I can't wait for this game to come out! X_X
