In DDD, Ansem tells Riku "perhaps he has the power to bring back the hearts and existences of those connected to him. To recreate people who we thought were lost to us forever." He's gotta be talking about Roxas.

Well, Roxas is one of the people Sora is meant to save, and I'm pretty sure that by the end of KHIII, Roxas will have become his own person.  And rightly so!  The guy's been through hell and back, LITERALLY!  I'm sure he'll return! :)

Yeah, I think it's pretty much confirmed Roxas will return, as well as the other "forgotten ones."

Peace!

It's strongly hinted that Roxas and the other people who are connected to Sora's heart will return as their own person.

I'm pretty sure that he will be returned!

So I guess we can just go ahead and erase all the stuff that happened in KH 358/2 Days and KH II , right ?

But , anyway , in DDD Sora did tell Roxas that he needed to become his own person . I guess that kinda confirms his return in KH III .

By that logic bringing back TAV would erase BbS.

Not really  . Roxas was a Nobody that joined Sora . End of story . Even if Nobodies do grow heart slowly , Roxas does not need a heart .

I think bringing Terra back would be incredibly stupid so on that part I have to agree with you (we can't always have a good ending, can we?) . But we aren't done with Aqua and Ventus . Ventus is sleeping in a freaking castle waiting to be woken up (a promise made by Aqua herself in the BBS ending as far as I remember ) and Aqua is in the Realm Of Darkness also waiting to be saved .

However , Terra can't be saved (we saw him "swallow" Xehanort and his body was taken over by him ) . It would be the biggest plot twist in the history of plot twists . Everything is possible for Nomura , though (if he has confirmed that all three characters are returning ,excuse me, I will go sit down in a small corner and never talk again).

Yep. He's going to grow his own heart; become a somebody.

What this guy said. Terra and Roxas are tragic characters and that's what makes em good. In my opinion... bringing them back would ruin that aspect

pretty sure everyone who disappeared is gonna come back through the power of the book of prophecies

Fixed. You're welcome.

if the book is simply going to materialize those characters out of thin air and fix everything then that sounds like quite a cop out plot device

and if that's the case then its almost like the characters should have been left alone rather than be brought back in the laziest way

Xehanort travels through time and gathers different versions of himself. He has probably used the book of prophecies to collect his 13 SoD's too (maybe foretellers). Why not using the same method on Roxas and the others? The way Xehanort did his plan is already lazy writing.

true. i guess at this point the lazy train is only picking up speed from here

Hate me for saying this, but I don't think I want Roxas to come back. He can't have a twin if Ven is going to wake up. Besides, some people in the game say he wasn't mean to have a life in the first place. But in this way, he and Xion can resume their love in the afterlife for all eternity, just as all star crossed lovers have been doing for centuries.
