With Unchained coming out soon, surely people expected something more than this. Most of us outside Japan thought Chi would be something similar to main KH titles, but with online multiplayer. But instead, we got a nonsense plot that somehow is connected to KH3, gameplay that is eventually tiresome and uninteresting, characters that look like they came from a cheap dress up game on google play or just lazily made. (Seriously, why couldn't they make the characters look like from Theatrhythm Final Fantasy™?)
(That would have been much better, since the chibi look is well known in Square Enix games.)
Why not something that is faithful to the franchise? But of course, you're thinking: What can't be more faithful than Unchained? And that's where Coded jumps in. For you people who don't know, Coded(Not Recoded) is a puzzleaction game exclusively for mobile phones. It never got released outside of Japan for unknown reasons. (btw here's a picture of Coded.)
But you're probably gonna say: We already have recoded! Why do we need coded? Well because, coded is different from each other. Recoded is basically KH1 with N64 graphics on DS. Coded on the other hand, is a puzzleaction game. You don't mindlessly beat up foes. You have to explore the worlds for clues to the next world. That's why coded is so interesting and amazing. It stands out from other Kingdom Hearts games. It deserves it's U.SEurope release. While Japan has Coded already, the international release should have more content and online multiplayer. Here's some ideas:
-All the world from KH1 makes a appearance in Coded. Worlds from CoM, KH2, BBS, DDD, will appear in later DLC.
-Goofy and Donald will actually aid Data Sora throughout his adventure instead of at Hallow Bastion.
-If you own Recoded, you can pass your items and equipment to Coded for free.
-You can create your own Datascape levels with items and heartless. You also have the ability to post these levels online so other players can try them out and give you praise.
-If a player is stuck at a level, they can get help online by getting a other online user to temporarily help them out. (For example, imagine if I'm stuck at Traverse Town and I couldn't beat the boss. I'll just ask another user to temporary control my character. Then they'll beat the boss for me. It's easy and simple for noobs who don't know what to do or just wanted to help beginners out.)
-There's a mode similar to Mission mode where you can play as different characters with online players. You can also make tournaments and chatrooms.
-There's daily contests to win rewards and costumes for Data Sora.
-There's a online mode where it takes place after the events of coded. Data Sora and his copies are now transferred to web from the journal. They must figure out the strange glitchs and disappearance of worlds. There's daily quests and missions across worlds. Also, players can team up in these missions to complete them. There's new characters and of course, customise your own Data-Sora.
It would be wonderful if Square Enix actually do this.
I can see this being released next year in june. But other people have different opinions. So let me ask you, would you want Coded or Unchained?
Edited by Sora is cool
