2.75 sounds better than 2.9.

Posted

What do you think? Or what would be the best name instead of 2.9?

2.75 for sure. 2.5 to 2.9 is a jump. 2.75 is right in the middle of 2.5 and 3, mathematically.

I personally think that 2.9 sounds better because since it will most likely have Dream Drop Distance, it will be right before Kingdom Hearts 3, hence ".9". I personally think that two decimal places is just too much, but that's just my personal take on it.

I guess that depends on what Kingdom Hearts 2.9 is, if we knew that it would be much easier to choose a name. And you're right, 2.9 sounds a bit weird, 2.75 would be much better, and more accurate, since it's between 2.5 and 3.

Judging by the "attraction flow" bit of the discription, it'll probably have at least a demo of KH3 in it, plus the DDD remake would make it closer to 2.9 I guess. IDK, I think it's fine.

Yeah, but why would it have a demo of Kingdom Hearts 3 (a PS4 game) on the PS3? It just doesn't make sense to me. :/

DDDHD is a mouth full, to many ''D's (teehee). 3D Final Mix sounds way better. I personally couldn't care if KH3D isn't on there, as long as i get 1.5 and 2.5 on the PS4 that's all i care about. Having KH3D on my PS4 would be marvelous though.

I think the PS3 version won't come with a demo.

I think there'll be 2 versions of KH3D one for PS3 and one for PS4. Then the KH3 demo will be with the PS4 version.

Sounds like a stereo system. But yea im a bit mix, 2.75 seems bit too long while 2.9 is a weird number and doesn't match up with 1.5 and 2.5.

What about 2.57699 ? (just kidding xD)

But , yeah , I think 2.9 sounds better as a title 'cause 2.9 is closer to 3 than 2.75 which probably means that DDD is gonna be the game featured .

2.75 does make more sense logically but 2.9 rolls of the tongue better

2.9 sound fine to me, the title actually makes since they can't call it anything but 2.9, they definitely can't call it 3.0

wha how does it make more since, 3 is taking place right after 3D so it would make since the it would be one number off from 3, thus 2.9

Because DDD takes place between 2.5 and 3, therefore 2.75 :P Also, if you go by that logic, why 2.5? Re:coded takes place right before DDD, so if you call that 2.9, 2.5 should have been named 2.8.

well if you go back to 1.5 it has kh 1, and days + com so its 1 and a half thus 1.5, (why does it feel like i'm writing a math problem lol) then in 2.5 its kh 2 and bbs+coded thus 2 and half (2.5). plus u can call 3d a prequel to kh3, so its after 2.5, but its not kh3 its 1 number off or 0.1 off, so its 2.9 instead of 3.0 a.k.a 3. the one number could be a week or a day before kh3 starts, but nomura does say that 3 will take place pretty much after 3d ends.

If you make it simple, we have 1.5 because it's between 1 and 2 (including 1), 2.5 because it's between 2 and 3 (including 2), and therefore 2.75 because it's between 2.5 and 3 (probably including 1.5 and 2.5). But if you look at it the way you do, it should be 1.9, because 358/2 days takes place right before 2, I mean literally right before. In the end I don't care so much about the name but about its content, just wanted to say for me 2.75 would be the more logical name.

they should probably drop the "2.something" title and just go back to vague and cryptic subtitles for the games. SE don't seem to know how to implement numbers into their titles.

like come on

three-five-eight days over two

why couldn't we at least say three hundred and fifty eight

was that so much to ask SE?

was it?

my brain!! LOL umm lets see here, how do it explain this. so it has kh1 and a half, and that half directly connects to kh2. so think of the .5's as a small link that directly connects the past game to the next game. days also ends in kh2 but we can't play those last 7 day until we start kh2. same goes for 2.5, the .5 is re:coded and it ends before 3D as seen from the letter and the secret ending. if we call 3D a prologue to kh3 it would explain why it would be called 2.9 and not 3.0 because its not 3 but the closest number to 3 would be .9 since .5 is taken and also kh, kh2, and 3D has some time between them. a year has past between 1 and 2 and i think a few weeks or months has passed between kh2 and 3D, which explains why its call .5 and not .9, but 3 is said to take place right after 3D, so lets say its a day or two (because nomura didn't seen like he meant a month or a week) those 1 or 2 days is that .1 from 2.9 and if you add that .1 to 2.9 you get 3. i hope i explained it the best that i could. u know how u have something in your head and no matter how hard u try u can't explain it that well... thats what i'm feeling.

Don't worry, I understand your thoughts, really :D .  And I get why you think that way, you explained it good enough, it's just that I go with my explanation (and if we talk any longer about that, I fear it gets too confusing  xD ) But I respect your opinion, and whatever I'll say: it's called 2.9, I can't change that.

lol the fear of drowning in the abyss of confusion

Well, Dream Drop Distance takes place right before Kingdom Hearts 3. So it's a logical title, but hopefully it's just a placeholder title.

i don't have an problem with why it's named that. it's more like i have a problem with the way it's pronounced. saying straight up three hundred and fifty eight seems like it'd make more sense than the actual pronunciation which sounds like i'm reading the serial code off the back of the box.

well apparently he wants it to sound like that.... nomura is weird lol

I really don't know!  If it's 2.9, then great!  If it's 2.75, then great!  All I want to know is what the heck the game is!!! X_X
