Braig doesn't really betray the other apprentices, necessarily. They're each individually pretty okay with the experiments and going along with Xemnas.

Braig betrayed the apprentices and Ansem the Wise, then the rest of the apprentices joined with Braig later on. Me thinks that's what's going to happen with the Foretellers. One betrays the rest, then they join with the traitor in the end.

They all sort of mutually betray Ansem the Wise, at least according to the reports in KH2 and in Days.

I wouldn't be surprised. This series has been pretty good in making connections and links and stuff. Good eye though, I wouldn't have noticed this.

Then is it safe to assume that the 6th foreteller has some kind of connection to the betrayer? More importantly can we assume that something like this will happen again in the future since in kingdom hearts history has a way of repeating itself?

The Master of Masters had six apprentices. He gave five of them a Book of Prophecies. One of the apprentices turned on the other four, becoming a traitor to them.Ansem the Wise had five apprentices, gaining six when Xehanort came along. Xehanort was forbidden from performing his experiments, like the sixth foreteller wasn't given a Book of Prophecies. Braig betrayed the other four apprentices, like one of the Foretellers betraying the others.

The apprentices DID choose to betray Ansem the Wise bc AX/Xemnas lied and manipulated them throughout the process. They fell for it and bc of that it's still their fault in that sense.  Xigbar/Braig was the only org member who knew the most outside of AX/Xemnas going in and DDD told us he knew from the start. Betrayal? I guess in a way but really how much does Braig/Xigbar really know just bc he knows a lot more than the others? The series itself has also always suggested Braig and Xigbar had their own goals and wants and also questioned AX/Xemnas. He snuck around as Xigbar spying on Xemnas like mentioned with Zexion in KH2FM and when he was stabbed like the other apprentices as Braig in that flashback he did not look pleased xD. Even in BBS he did not look pleased when he confronted Xehanort after the fight with Terra and Xehanort attacks him. ( Next we see he has one gold eye!) All we know is he voluntarily helped Xehanort with his plan for personal gain. As much as he did know a lot more of what was going on out of all the apprentices it's safe to say he wasn't a equal partner in this plan with Xehanort. He goes along bc he's getting something out of it. Besides a keyblade there could be more and we just do not know.

I think this coincidence was intentional. Xehanort intentionally wants to start another Keyblade War, so, he'll go through the process of repeating the process of how it was triggered in the first place. As far as the Foreteller goes, I have a feeling that Leopardos will be the Braig/Xigbar of the group in terms of traitorousness.

Exactly that. However, Braig knew the original Master Xehanort before he became Terranort. Braig is very deceptive and manipulative so it wouldn't be a surprise if he was to convince the other apprentices of Ansem The Wise to go against him. As far as his personal gain goes, that's a complete mystery right now.

That was already addressed in my post however my point was though he knows way more than others he admittedly says even he does not fully know Xehanorts plan. He has said himself that nobody including YX and himself knew what was going on in MX's plans completely. Look how surprised he was when Xehanort stabbed him in that DDD flashback. So while he knows a lot and did help Xehanort we cannot say he was a full on partner who knew everything.

Wow, that's an interesting little thing you found there!  This also reminds me of the theory fans here have come up with that the abandoned Mansion in Twilight Town could have belonged to a descendant of the leader of the Unicornis Union! :O

I like to paraphrase

But going with your point of Braig not being a "full on partner for Xehanort", we can assume that one of the five Foretellers may have a similar premise in which they follow the traitorous member as both their actions lead to a similar goal, however, they are not a "full on partner" with the traitor Foreteller.

Possibly :P We shall find out.

I believe Xigbar said "I'm already half xehanort" only further backing the claim that he did have other intentions.Hah. Imagine Xigbar is like Tobi/Obito in Naruto. xP

Actually, it was not one of the five that would betray each other, it was the sixth apprentice that would. He is the one that would betray all. Also, he causes the unions to possibly turn on each other. I'd say that this is history possibly repeating itself.
