The Legend of Zelda: Wrath of the Dark Fairy (Roleplay)

Posted

"Those low-lives think we're meant to be trapped in jars....I'll show them! By ridding this entire land to nothing but fairies! And I will be the Queen! Queen and ruler of all fairies!"

Those were the words of the Dark Fairy, revealing her viscous plot. Peace had been going on in Hyrule until she rose up. And the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but trouble and havoc in order to get her revenge on all other creatures....Especially Hylians.

Monsters have been appearing more rapidly, lands are being cursed with dark magic....This has gone long enough.

Princess Zelda was facing the window in the throne room with a look of worry. This conflict has to end somehow. Something must be done. There was only one way to stop this madness. She nodded to herself and quickly got pieces of paper, Royal Designed envelopes exclusive to Royalty, and a pen. She wrote down in each of the notes:

"Dear Warrior, I ask you desperately for help. A being known as the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but destruction and havoc across Hyrule. If this goes on any longer, who knows what will happen....Please, I ask you! Come quickly to the Hyrule Castle where you will find me. The guards will let you through once you show them this letter. Other warriors will be joining you. I hope you will work together and get along well. I'll expect your arrivals.

From, Princess Zelda"

After writing these, she picked up the envelopes,  walked towards the open window, and let the wind blow them away, where they will find the warriors that will go on the journey...

Nox face palmed at the introduction of Malon. A love interest. Great. The Imp left Rabiyu's shadow, but still followed the Ranger into the throne room. The Zora King and Princess did their family thing. Nox at least understood that.

"Raid a temple far away from the wretched sun?" She said, putting her hands behind her head. "Yes, please."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go and get to that temple!" Kai said confidently. "Very well then." The King of Zoras began to move his body over to allow the group to get to the door. However...By how slowly he was moving, it looked to take a bit. Malon silently giggled at how the King was moving. It was amusing to her. "Oh! One more thing." Princess Aqua announced. She ran the opposite way of her father and was gathering something off to the side. She then appeared again, holding a small bag and walked down to give it to each of the Warriors. They looked to be small yellow stones that were very smooth and sometimes glowed for only a second. "These are Zora Scales. Let these fuse with your clothes and you'll be able to breathe underwater like us." She explained while giving them away.

Rabiyu nodded and moved her eyes away from the Twili  to watch as the King of the Zoras slowly moved."This looks familiar. I wonder why."Something in her mind was trying to surface, but Rabiyu then decided to forget about it. Instead she focused on the Princess and what she was giving."Scales?" She said as she inspected the small stone. "Better than that suit back in Labrynna, that's for sure."The Ranger slowly face palmed as she kept reminiscing about the past ."Never got used to that." She said quietly. "Let's get going."

Nox accepted one of the scales from the princess, studied it for a moment, then stuck it in her hair. It was visible for a moment, then the hair moved, swallowing up the scale.

"Thanks." She said grudgingly.

Resisting the urge to simple toss the Zora King out of the way, Nox took a deep breath, and glanced at Malon. She hadn't counted on the girl. This could be a problem for her plan.

"Scales huh?" Maxwell questioned as he looked at the yellow stone in his hand for a second before putting it on one of his pockets, for use at the lake. "Thank you" He said respectfully as he looked at the others, an at Rabyiu, "Agreed." Maxwell said.

Its not like they needed to refill on supplies, they had barely used any in their journey...yet anyway.

"Thank you for your aid, Princess Aqua." Nora bowed slightly as she accepted the scale, watching in fascination as it lit up briefly before fading. She pressed the scale into the center of the green circle on her right sleeve. Slightly than the Hylian crest, the sword arm to symbolize acting on the behalf of their allies. Having finished this task, she continued to wait patiently for the king of the Zoras to allow them passage.

Once the group got the scales, King Zora had finally finished moving out of the way for the entrance to be opened. This must've been the most he has moved in a long time.

"Alright. You may enter. Good luck." King Zora said. "Thanks Your Majesty." Malon said politely with a bow. She then looked at Kai. "Come on Kai. Let's go!" She before skipping away. Kai then looked at the others. "You can see why I love her. Hee hee hee hee!" He said before running after her with Pixi tailing behind. "Oh God. Now we have a female Kai. as if our job was hard enough..." She commented.

The group of warriors were at Zora's Fountain, where Hyrule's main water source came from. There, just ahead, there was an alter where Lord Jabu-Jabu once laid. Although, something was the matter. 4 Zoras (All Male) were tied up and trapped by 3 Big Octos. They were roaming around them in a circle, keeping them from escaping. When Kai saw this, he was amazed, but mostly felt valiant. Pixi however had other plans. "Um, Kai maybe we should make a plan first like-"

"Hey you big slimy Octos!"

The Octos stopped. Then turned around to see they had company. They're eyes were lowered down to see that they were mad, ready to battle. "...Or do that, you know, since you don't listen...At all." Pixi said with her arms crossed.

"Golden Sisters above. You've got to be..."Rabiyu facepalmed for the second time that day. And the best, and weirdest, part was that it wasn't something she did or thought."Listen up Kai." She said as she stepped in front of the boy and reached for an arrow from her quiver. "If you try to impress the girl over there,"The Ranger began to say as she put the arrow into the bow, said arrow was slightly different from the others, it had a small explosive attached at the tip."please do so when the lives of others aren't at stake."Her tone sounded a little cold. The strange ranger was slightly preoccupied for the Zoras, but her concern was focused more on Kai and his reckless behavior. Sure, the Zoras where in danger, but if they were fast enough then they could be saved."This is going to get rough."Rabiyu fired her explosive arrow at one of the Big Octos, hitting it and sending it into the water. A few seconds later there was a huge splash of water from where the monster fell."One down, two more to go."

Nox dashed forward, giving Kai a dirty look as she passed, going directly towards an Octo. It spit a rock at her, but that was just part of the plan. Still maintaining speed, the Imp twirled around, her hair forming a hand. Mid twirl, she caught the rock with her hair, then jerked her head to swing the projectile around. All in one instant, she reached the Octo, she finished her midair twirl, and the rock her hair was gripping smashed into the Octo's face. The big creature went flying back, still alive, but hurt badly and stunned.

Kai withdrew his sword with a grin. Even though the reactions from the others scared him a little, he couldn't pass up on this battle between these monsters. "Alright. Let's go!" He said before he dashed off to the Big Octo that hasn't been attacked yet. The young Kokiri jumped in the air and brought his sword down towards the Big Octo's head. But this didn't go as expected, for Kai was knocked back and landed on his bottom. "Yow! Wh-What happened? I thought that got it right on the head!" Kai exclaimed. Pixi sighed and flew to Kai's side. "It's that shell of his, Kai. Your sword won't have any effect on it." She explained. Kai then took another look at the Big Octo. It indeed had a shell and it didn't have single scratch on it after Kai's attack. This might be a problem. Suddenly Kai felt his clothes blowing through the wind. Then he felt like his legs were going up by themselves! "Wh-What's going on!?" Kai then looked ahead and saw that the Big Octo was trying to suck him in. "GAH! Oh man, this is bad!" He exclaimed. He quickly flailed and managed to turn around and hold on to the edge of the alter. The Big Octo inhaled harder, making Kai's situation even tougher to handle. One of his fingers were already coming loose. "Crap, this is really bad." Kai struggled to just hold on to dear life on that edge, not willing to give. Until...It stopped. It just stopped. Kai's lower body dropped to the ground. "N-Now what?" Kai looked behind and saw that somebody had shot that Big Octo in the eye!

"You leave my boyfriend alone or else!" Malon said, walking to stand next to Kai with a bow and arrow.  She looked at Kai with a smile. "Don't worry sweetie. I'll handle this one." She said sweetly to him.

Maxwell sighed at the scene "Well then...it was starting to get awfully dull" Maxwell said as everyone went after the big octoroks first, landing their attacks, Kai barely being killed by one, the boy was reckless. But he was young, he could learn with time.

Maxwell wasted no time, rushing at one of the big octoroks, as one was sent flying back by Nox's attack, and another was hit an explosive arrow from Rabyiu, meanwhile Kai's girlfriend barely managed to save him. Maxwell walked up beside them.

"Excuse me." He said as he pulled out his katana and started running towards the octoroks, dodging a tentacle swipe with a jump and roll as he intercepted another swipe, stabbing it with his katana to pin it in place at least for a little bit, he quickly pulled out his crossbow and shot a pin arrow into the stuck tentacle, the followup shot was aimed at the big octo's eye, which the pin arrows connected by a rope pulled towards one another, the Octorok was hit by its own Tentacle, with a lot of force, it was stunned. But more importantly, the armor on its head possibly cracked from the blow too.

Maxwell quickly sheated his katana, switching to his greatsword, as he took advantage of the octoroks stunned state, as he quickly jumped in the air, and swung his greatsword with all his strenght, at the weakened area of the shell.

Nora was going to hang back and protect the civilians if by some ill twist of fate one of the monsters broke through. She really was, their allies' King and Princess were not too far back, after all. That plan was scrapped as soon as Kai almost got sucked in by one of the Big Octos. Focus. She crouched slightly, left hand on the ground while the right held her sword by her side. One well aimed, powerfully concentrated blow would do just as well as seven weaker ones. Maxwell would take care of the one that Nox had stunned, so... The knight pushed forward, sprinting towards the Big Octo that Malon had shot. Using her momentum she propelled herself up into the air, spinning slightly. Speed, Gravity, centripetal force, and strength gained through years of dedicated practice all pulled together in one perfectly aimed strike, and the blade hit squarely on the arrow, driving it in deeper to the monster's brain as the blade sliced its eyes. 'This creature attacked a comrade,' she thought to herself. Nora slashed it again as she fell. Just for good measure. The Big Octo fell too, thrown lifelessly back and into the water.

  • 2 weeks later...

Nox smiled nastily as the Octo numbers steadily fell. Stupid creatures. Only real use was for practice. She glanced at the captured Zora. She had a momentary crisis as her instincts and her directives conflicted about what to do about them. She had a plan. If she acted wrong, the others might find her out, and that could be disastrous.

Cursing in her own language, dashed forward and positioned herself between the final Big Octo and the captured Zoras.

"Run!" She yelled at them, as she tensed up to catch anything that came after them.

(Well.....This has been inactive. xD)

"Run?" Kai questioned, still sitting down. Pixi grabbed his collar from behind and dragged him away, knowing she had actual common sense. "If somebody says run, we run!" She commented. Malon followed Pixi's lead and ran away with her and Kai. Whatever Nox was doing, she didn't want to be near. Who knows what this Twili Imp could do? She's never seen one in action before or even in the flesh! So it would be best to stay out of Nox's way.

Sara had remained remarkably quiet while in the Zora's Domain. She was too busy gazing around the scenery to make comments about what was said; in fact, she was barely paying attention at all. However, once the group was ready to move on, she focused on the mission at hand once again. Following them outside, she was greeted with a battle. She drew her magic rod, trying to find out when to let an attack loose. Eventually, there was only one Big Octo left. This seemed like a good time. She extended the magic rod out in front of her, aiming it at her opponent. A ball of flames manifested in front of the rod's tip just before being propelled forward towards its target. Sara heard Nox's warning, and saw Kai, Pixi, and Malon running off. Sara began to back away, but stayed in the area just in case a counter-attack was necessary. She didn't want to leave her comrade all alone.

(Shall post after I wake up...ZZZzZzZz)

"If only I still could send people to prison for doing something stupid in the battlefield."Rabiyu once again focused on the last remaining monster, an arrow pointed directly at it. At that moment the Twili positioned herself between the Big Octo and the Zoras."I think I can exert my duty as a Judge without the interferece of the Royal Family," she said as she nodded. "The Princess would be mad though."The Ranger's eyes followed Malon and Pixi as she dragged Kai away."Ast namor kal drumaan, Spirit of the Sky, unleash thy fury and bring forth the lightning to strike mine enemy down."Out of nowhere a lightning fell from the sky and struck Rabiyu's arrow, infusing it with the power of lightning."I think it's time we end this," she said mostly to herself. "We don't need injured hostages."Rabiyu let the arrow go, and once it made contact with the monster, it discharged the full power of the lightning spell she casted on the arrow.

The Big Octo was injured by Sara's fire spell, blinding it's eyes by the explosion. Then before it could see again, it was hit by an arrow powered by lighting. It was soon completely engulfed by lightning. An explosion of smoke came out and the beast was no more.

"Wow..." Kai said in amazement. He's never seen anything like it. What did Rabiyu say? How did that happen? He couldn't help but jump up and run towards Rabiyu with all excitement. "That was amazing Rabiyu! How'd you do that?" He asked, eager to know the answer.

Meanwhile, Malon ran towards the captured Zoras and untied them. "Are you guys okay?" She asked.

"We're fine." One Zora said. "Those Octoroks came out of nowhere while we were standing guard. They suddenly jumped out of the water and ambushed us."

Rabiyu was standing still, lightning bolts crackling around her bow after releasing the magic infused arrow. A soft golden light coming from under her garments."Magic the likes you've never seen before. "A sort answer to a rather dull question. Sometimes Rabiyu forgot that magic was not what it used to be. Either by the lack of practice, magic lost to time or other reasons. Without wasting another moment Rabiyu walked towards the Zoras."You," she said camly. "The King told us that there is another way to enter the temple at Lake Hylia from here. Can you show us the way?"

The Zora nodded in response. "Yes. There is a way. But we require Princess Aqua in order to open the passage. And she hasn't been seen in-"

"I'm right here." The voice of the Princess was then heard from the entrance. There her appearance was made, walking towards the stand. "P-Princess! We'd thought we would never see you again!" One Zora exclaimed, happy that their beloved princess was safe and sound. "These warriors escorted me back to the Domain. I give them my full gratitude." She responded. Kai rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. "Aw, it was nothin'!" He said.

Pixi crossed her arms. "Says the guy that ditched us half-way." She commented.

"Thank you for bringing back the Princess. Now we can open the way to the Water Temple."

The Zoras then positioned themselves in a circle. They all held each other's hands and then spoke in their own language. As they chanted, the water around them began to glow brightly. Rumbling around their location could be felt. Kai and Malon wobbled around, trying to keep balance. Malon actually fell on top of Kai, who supposedly "caught" her. "Thanks sweetie!" Malon said. "Oh, uh...No prob Malon! Heh heh!"

Maxwell was sitting on a tentacle of a once giant octorok, now dead, and a sword impailed in its eyes, no one really noticed him sitting on top of it, with his greatsword in place of its face. Maxwell simply sat there and was actually pretty...well...confused, at the scene and the fact that he didn't get any credit...but what could he do?

Taking his sword out of the dead carcass and walking over to them, Maxwell's greatsword dragging accross the ground as rumbling could be felt around them, due to the Zora's chanting and ritual, or something of the sort.

"Huh. I thought we were swimming" Maxwell commented at the scene. "Not that Im complaining" he said sheathing his greatsword.

When no one was looking, Nox let out a breath and for a moment looked tired. This was getting more difficult. But she couldn't give up now. By the time someone glanced her way, she was back to her usual scowling. As the Zora's began to chant, Nox felt the light level increase. She hissed and dived into Maxwell's shadow. It was probably unnecessary, but she didn't want to take chances.

"So, what are the odds that the locks on the temple kept any enemies out?" Nox said sulkily from Maxwell's shadow.

Nora kept her sword out as the water began to glow, knees bent slightly to stay balanced as the ground shook. She nodded at Maxwell's statement. "This does seem preferable, although," she noted "we might end up swimming anyways." The temple was in the lake, after all, and she doubted that the princess had given them the Zora scales for nothing. Despite her anticipation to find the temple and move on with their mission as quickly as possible, Nora couldn't help but be a little bit excited. Only a little bit. She had never been to the Water Temple before.

As the Zoras kept chanting, something arose from the water behind them.

A tall stone made building grew from the glowing blue water, rising in all of its own glory. Covered in seaweed and water, with a water symbol just above the door entrance.

One by one, pieces of a stone bridge appeared, leading towards the stone building. The rumbling soon stopped, the water's glow shimmered down, and the Zoras stopped chanting. Princess Aqua turned around and faced the warriors.

"This is an alternate way into the Water Temple. The design inside is different from the regular one. Hopefully, you can all adjust to the changes made." She said with a bow.

"Wow..." Kai just stood in amazement once again. Malon was simply speechless by the size. And Pixi...

"Huh. Nice magic trick."

"Much obliged." The Princess answered with a smile.

"Close to none." Rabiyu asnwered the little imp. "Evil always find a way."Her focus shifted towards the newly stone building."Fascinating."That was the only thing Rabiyu had to say about the whole situation."Thanks for the help, Princess Aqua," The Ranger said as she turned around and bowed slightly. "We can take care from here."
