The Legend of Zelda: Wrath of the Dark Fairy (Roleplay)

Posted

"Those low-lives think we're meant to be trapped in jars....I'll show them! By ridding this entire land to nothing but fairies! And I will be the Queen! Queen and ruler of all fairies!"

Those were the words of the Dark Fairy, revealing her viscous plot. Peace had been going on in Hyrule until she rose up. And the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but trouble and havoc in order to get her revenge on all other creatures....Especially Hylians.

Monsters have been appearing more rapidly, lands are being cursed with dark magic....This has gone long enough.

Princess Zelda was facing the window in the throne room with a look of worry. This conflict has to end somehow. Something must be done. There was only one way to stop this madness. She nodded to herself and quickly got pieces of paper, Royal Designed envelopes exclusive to Royalty, and a pen. She wrote down in each of the notes:

"Dear Warrior, I ask you desperately for help. A being known as the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but destruction and havoc across Hyrule. If this goes on any longer, who knows what will happen....Please, I ask you! Come quickly to the Hyrule Castle where you will find me. The guards will let you through once you show them this letter. Other warriors will be joining you. I hope you will work together and get along well. I'll expect your arrivals.

From, Princess Zelda"

After writing these, she picked up the envelopes,  walked towards the open window, and let the wind blow them away, where they will find the warriors that will go on the journey...

"She looks just like her." she thought.Rabiyu was watching the young Princess. Something from the deeps of her memories was trying to come out."My name is Rabiyu, your Grace" Rabiyu said while bowing. "Ranger of the Lost Woods. And like our friend here, I would like to know the reason you summoned us."

Maxwell looked upon the beauty that was Zelda, and glanced at Kai, who was absolutely stunned, he simply raised an eyebrow at the scene as he then heard what Zelda had to say, he stepped forward, being the first to introduce himself, slightly bowing his head, none of the court manners that guards and civilians did, bowing their entire torsos, he simply moved his head greeting her, "An honor, Princess Zelda, my name is Maxwel Koris, a...mercenary by trade, may I ask why you chose me to this? I am curious" he left out a question for her.

"Well, if you must know..." The Princess began to say. "You were all rightly chosen to do this important task. Each of you has a role and none of you were chosen at random. I sent the envelopes to great warriors that would put an end to this madness. And that's you. The ones that stand before me. Let's just say that it is your destiny to be summoned." Zelda said. She then looked around, seeming to look for something. "Hmm....One of our friends doesn't appear to want to show herself right now, yet I know that she is in this room." She said. Zelda's attention turned back to the group. "Any more introductions? I would love to meet you all."

When the group was escorted to where Princess Zelda was, which was the Throne Room, Daka saw her and was not phased by her beauty unlike his new friend Kai. Daka walked up with the others, not in an invading way, but rather, in a way to be able to be heard by Zelda directly. Daka spoke, but in Deku,"WaahOoah? (It is an honor to meet you, Zelda. We heard your plea about a Dark Fairy. What info could you give us?) WaaAaah? (And what IS the Dark Fairy's plan?)" Daka spoke to Zelda in hopes that she has the power to understand many languages, including Deku.

"Because, while they show innocent confusion at their summons, Princess of Hyrule...I ask, why me?" Her shadow cloak fell, the magic she had gained and learned now faded and gone. She was behind Zelda, Lea ing against the wall with arms crossed. "Destiny does not call forth an Exile. I am not Hyrule's future. I am merely part of a past filled with blood and fire." She finally opened her eyes, their ruby red color bright. "I am merely a facet of madness. I am no hero. So tell me. Why am I here."

"You are so much more than what you think..." The Princess said. She did not turn around nor did she have her eyes open. "You are just as important as these warriors are. Exile or not. Destiny will come upon anyone no matter what they are. For you...Irisviel...I know you will soon understand your purpose soon...That is all I can say now as an answer." The Princess stated in her kind, elegant voice. (Last post from me until everyone else posts)

Nox gave it as long as she figured she could before answering Zelda. She had been worried about the Princess knowing about her, but it was worth the risk. The little Twili Imp appeared in Zelda's shadow, giving the Princess a hostile look.

"For your level of theatricality, I thought you'd have some common curtesy to let me reveal myself." Nox said, irratatably. "It would have had disembodied laughing and murmuring."

Waving a hand, the Twili produced the letter Zelda had sent.

"Guess I'm part of the little hero troop." She said, not mentioning that she had snatcher the letter out of the air.

Nora remained slightly tense as she watched the scene in the throne room play out. She didn't particularly dislike Irisveil, indeed her sentance was one of the only reasons the knight had ever considered breaking her vows and walking out on the royal family. From what she had seen (and it hadn't been much, as she was exiled only a few months after Nora had become a knight, so she didn't have much access to restricted information), the trial had been hasty and the sentence unjust. A thirteen year old girl does not deserve punishment for crimes committed by her allready dead family. That said, even if she wouldn't judge the exile on her family's actions, she would judge the girl by her own, and indirectly threatening royalty was not a nice way to get in Nora's good books. 'Ah well,' she sighed mentally, 'might as well get on with introductions.' After the person to whom Zelda had been alluding earlier came out and said her part, Nora stepped forward and bowed. "Nora Paulson, Knight of Hyrule, at your service, your highness.' She straightened up and stepped back again. Now that that was over with, maybe the Princess would tell them what she wanted them to do.

Princess Zelda turned around to face the Twili Imp. "Ah, here you are. I knew you would be hiding in the shadows somewhere around here. You must be Nox. Pleasure to see you in person." She said with a smile. She turned back to the group. "It's a pleasure to meet you all. But now it's time for you to know your true task..." The Princess closed her eyes and had both hands in front of her chest, to where her heart was. She opened them, facing the warriors. "In my letter, you saw that I had called you because of the Dark Fairy conflict. There is a reason a for that..."

"Months ago, the Dark Fairy had made her appearance in Hyrule, stating that she will get her revenge on the Kingdom and the entire land too. And this wasn't to be taken as a joke. She has been stopping at nothing to get what she wants. Monster attacks, cursed lands, destruction, everything would begin to go corrupt. Her goal....To erase all life that is not a fairy."

Kai made a surprised and shocked reaction and expression shown on his face. To be rid of everything that's not a fairy? How..."You mean...She wants to..."

Zelda nodded. "Yes. And then she wants to rule as Queen of All Fairies. She sees us as disrespecting fairies by putting them in jars until we really need them. I've tried to reason with her, but The Dark Fairy chooses to stay on her path..." Zelda closed her eyes then lifted her head up to face the stained glass window of the Triforce, opening her eyes. "We even have word that she has captured the Great Fairies and poisoned their healing water...If The Dark Fairy goes any farther...Only chaos and even death reign...." The Princess then turned back to the group of chosen warriors with a serious expression. "Please, you must put an end to this madness. Who knows what else that being will do next? Do I have your honor in defeating the Dark Fairy once and for all?"

Kai was silent for a moment....Then a grin would come across his face. "Princess Zelda....You can count on me!" Kai said, with his fist on his chest. "Me too! Anywhere Kai goes, I'm coming with!" Pixi also said.

((Irisviel is the only exile of the Eizenwolf family, actually. Mostly because the entire family was slaughtered in their estate before she was arrested, tried, and exiled in a poor excuse for a trial.))Irisviel listened. Dark Fairy...well, she didn't blame the wretched creature. Being used and barely seen as worthy of rights was something she could honestly sympathize with...if not for the fact she was Hylian and probably would be killed with the rest. She felt Thornscar shift a bit as she moved, and fell still."I will help...for mutual survival." She stated plainly. "Not because I have any loyalty to this Kingdom, Princess. I'll consider my fee for the job after I'm done."She stepped backwards, and seemed to dissolve into shadow.

(That's what I get for not reading carefully... I think I fixed it mostly, tell me if there is anything I missed. :) )"I will help too, your Higness." Nora declared. "Anything to serve the throne and my people." She was a bit surprised by the Princess' revelation. She knew the Dark Fairy was up to no good, but the eradication of all outside her species... To say that Nora was troubled that anyone would fall so low was an understatement, but she could almost understand. Almost. She couldn't answer as to what she might do if her friends and family were enslaved and locked up in jars. She liked to think she wouldn't become a genocidal mass murderer.

As Zelda was speaking with the gathered heroes, a woman peeked at the group from around a corner. These are the people I will be journeying with soon...? She studied them all. Each of them seemed so different from the people she had grown up among... In fact, she was surprised to see that some clearly weren't Hylians at all! She leaned around the corner a little bit more to get a better look, but ended up leaning in too far, and fell flat on her face, screaming as she did so. Realizing that she'd made herself seen by the others, she quickly jumped back up on her feet and brushed herself off. "I apologize, Princess Zelda!" She bowed. The people from her old village had told her to always show respect to the royal family, and she intended to not letting them down. "I was just curious about who the other heroes would be, and I couldn't help myself from taking a look at them..." Her face was bright red. She was clearly embarrassed by her fall. She walked over to the group, assuming that keeping to herself was pointless now that the others had seen her. "Hello, my name is Sara. I apologize for intruding on this meeting... I was chosen as another one of the heroes to help Princess Zelda, although I arrived much earlier than all of you." She explained, smiling as she introduced herself. "I hope to get to know all of you quickly!"

Zelda almost expected Sara to do something like this. She got to know the girl once she entered much earlier than the others. She understood the personality very well. Zelda couldn't blame her. The Princess instead smiled. "It is alright Sara." She responded, then turned to the other warriors. "She got the envelope as well. I know Sara will be an excellent addition to the team." She said with a smile.

Kai stared at Sara, almost being stunned again. "...She's pretty...." He said out loud. "You know you just said that out loud, right Kai?" Pixi said, flying above Kai. When he heard that, he blushed and covered his mouth, realizing what he just did. "Anyways, I'm Pixi, the pink fairy, and this is Kai, the Kokiri I have to watch."

((Almost perfect but let's run with it, having the courts screw up the account to save some form of face and not reveal the true reasons and all is an interesting conspiracy.))Irisviel materialized behind Sara, hands cased behind her back. She looked...as emotionless as ever."She falls over without moving. I doubt her usefulness." She stated bluntly. "What happens if she falls down and ends up dying from some horrible trap, or a broken neck?" She didn't even look malicious. "Plus, that scream was too innovent, too cute to really be one of someone able to fight this Dark Fairy."Of course, Iri pushed her over and was just stirring up problems. Plus...she didn't like this girl. Maybe it was because she seemed so naive...so innocentSo...polar opposite.

Daka was silent for a moment, then Daka snapped out of it. "WooAh. WaaOoh? (Forgive me, Zelda, but where is our first destination to look for the Dark Fairy?)"

Sara didn't seem to think much of Kai's statement. It was a compliment she hadn't really received, due to spending most of her life alone with her brother. It was clear that she didn't seemed bothered by it. "Thank you." She thanked the boy. After doing so, she heard a voice behind her raise some doubts regarding her ability to fight alongside the others. Sara had thought she might have felt some hands push her over earlier, but she knew that she would have noticed if someone had done so. As a result, she didn't suspect Irisviel of doing such a thing. Instead, she was actually happy that someone seemed to be concerned about her well-being. She looked at Irisviel and smiled at her. "I appreciate that you are so worried about me, but while I might not be as skilled as the others here, I believe that I am well prepared for this journey. I may not look strong, but I have trained for many years." She showed the girl her weapon: a small rod with a red orb at the top. "Still, thank you for caring about my safety." She smiled once again. This girl seemed like she would be a good friend.

"We still don't leave and the party is fighting among themselves."

Rabiyu's eyes were focused on the Twili Imp for a few seconds.

"Another one?" she thought. "The White Goddess, The Twilight Princess and maybe...just maybe..."

"In any case" she said as she pulled the hood of the cloak over her head. "I think we should start this journey before we kill each other."

The Ranger turned to see the Princess and nodded slowly.

"Your Grace," Rabiyu said with a tone of respect. "please tell us where we should go.

Maxwell frowend for a moment as he sighed as he looked at Zelda, "Dark fairy...wants to eradicate all life...now thats something interesting, while I am more than willing to help, I'l require payment, in advance, its just the way I do things, forgive me your highness." he explained to Zelda his ways, always demanding pay no matter the circumstances.

He then noticed the new girl, who had just fell flat on the ground, and was critcized by  Irisviel "Oh Lay off the girl, she barely even introduced herself and you're already criticizing her." Maxwell said in Sara's defense as he crossed his arms while looking at Iris before turning his gaze to Sara, "Pleasure to meet you, name's Maxwell." he introduced himself to her before looking at Rabyiu, who had just suggested they leave, he simply nodded in agreement.

"Of course." Zelda answered. She walked back, up the short set of stairs, then walked to the brown desk and then got a folded piece of paper. She turned around and faced the warriors. "Now we can't face of against the Dark Fairy head on right away. We need some sort of increase in power. Luckily, we know the locations of The Great Fairies that have been captured." Princess Zelda then unfolded the paper, revealing it to be a map of Hyrule. "This map with help you know where you are going, The Great Fairies are trapped within the dungeons of the Lost Woods, Lake Hylia, Death Mountain, and Gerudo Valley." She pointed to each of the locations, then made her way to the group. "They will also help you throughout your journey."

"Waah. (May I bring that map with us, Princess Zelda?)" Daka asked Zelda.

"Of course you can, Daka." With that being said, The Princess handed the little Deku Scrub the map.(Da Da Da DAAA! You got the Map! Be sure to keep up with it during your journey with the team!)"Now I must ask...Does anyone here hold an instrument?" The Princess asked. Kai then looked both ways and even behind himself. His attention then was dead-on the Princess. "Well..." He then lifted his green hat and took out a green Piccolo. "I always carry my green Piccolo whenever I go somewhere. Will this do Princess Zelda?" He asked in his most polite tone. "Yes! That will be splendid!" She said. "Wait right here. I'll only be a moment." The Princess then ran off up the stairs and was searching through the desk.

Daka takes the map and puts it in his inventory. And when Kai took out his Piccolo, and Zelda began to run off, Daka pulled out his Trumpet-Saxophone looking instrument that is somehow capable of retracting and opening up with ease from a small space. Daka began to play the Sonata of Awakening, a Deku Tribe Tune passed down for generations. The music could be heard throughout the throne room everyone was in.

Kai turned to Daka, hearing the song that he played. The song sounded....Pleasant. It was soothing. He was watching and listening to the notes that the Deku Scrub played on his instrument. And then...Kai played along as well, copying the notes Daka played exactly. It was like an instrumental duo! A great sounding one to be exact! Once the song ended, Kai smiled to Daka. "That was a pretty song! I couldn't help but join in! Heh heh heh!" Kai said happily. Zelda smiled as well hearing the two play in harmony. Perhaps it was a step closer to becoming a great team. "Ah! Here it is!" She exclaimed. Zelda held up a medium sized harp with colors of yellow and light surrounding the strings. The Princess then turned around to face back to the group and made her way back. "And of course, Maxwell, you can rest assure that your deeds will not go unrewarded." She said on the way. She then stopped in front of Kai and Daka, holding the harp. "Now...See if you can play this tune after me." Princess Zelda then lifted her open hand and strung each piece of string on the instrument in a specific pattern. She played a short song that she would know for a long time. After she finished, she nodded to the two warriors. Kai nodded back, raised the Green Piccolo to his mouth, and played those exact notes. It sounded like this...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPhfbtjqWM8

"...It's my Lullaby." Zelda said once Kai finished. "It's a song that is exclusive to the Royal Family. When you play that song, it will reveal that you have some sort of relation or alliance to the Royal Family."

Irisviel slid her jet black ocarina from her clothing, and put it to her lips. She perfectly followed Zelda's Lullaby, and once done, powered the black instrument.

"...I doubt I'll ever use it...but the extra help is...appreciated."

She turned her head away, eyes closing. She only said that, and completely ignored Sara. She had no idea how to react to the ridiculous girl she had shoved.

Sara was a bit confused by what Maxwell had said. The other girl didn't seem to be criticizing her, she was just worried about Sara. However, she decided to not think about it too much. After Maxwell introduced himself, she smiled. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Maxwell." She was happy that people already seemed to be accepting of her, as she had worried about how she'd fit in with the others after spending so much of her life with just her brother. Afterwards, she listened to the others play various songs on their instruments. She didn't have one of her own, but she enjoyed hearing her teammates play the melodies.
