The Legend of Zelda: Wrath of the Dark Fairy (Roleplay)

Posted

"Those low-lives think we're meant to be trapped in jars....I'll show them! By ridding this entire land to nothing but fairies! And I will be the Queen! Queen and ruler of all fairies!"

Those were the words of the Dark Fairy, revealing her viscous plot. Peace had been going on in Hyrule until she rose up. And the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but trouble and havoc in order to get her revenge on all other creatures....Especially Hylians.

Monsters have been appearing more rapidly, lands are being cursed with dark magic....This has gone long enough.

Princess Zelda was facing the window in the throne room with a look of worry. This conflict has to end somehow. Something must be done. There was only one way to stop this madness. She nodded to herself and quickly got pieces of paper, Royal Designed envelopes exclusive to Royalty, and a pen. She wrote down in each of the notes:

"Dear Warrior, I ask you desperately for help. A being known as the Dark Fairy has been causing nothing but destruction and havoc across Hyrule. If this goes on any longer, who knows what will happen....Please, I ask you! Come quickly to the Hyrule Castle where you will find me. The guards will let you through once you show them this letter. Other warriors will be joining you. I hope you will work together and get along well. I'll expect your arrivals.

From, Princess Zelda"

After writing these, she picked up the envelopes,  walked towards the open window, and let the wind blow them away, where they will find the warriors that will go on the journey...

Rabiyu slowly reached to her back from where she pulled a two-toned harp.

"A gift from a friend." she said as she looked at it fondly for a moment. "A friend from a long time ago who came from a distant land."

The Ranger slowly followed the Princess' melody on her own harp. Said harp glowed slightly as if recognizing the melody that was being played.

"How strange." Rabiyu said, staring at the harp once the song was over. "It's been awhile since the harp has done that."

Rabiyu knew, from something she was told by the previous owner of the harp, that said instrument had power over time. Something that she had used on previous occasions. Although, those abilities were rather limited in the sense that you could only travel to a set time to the past or future.

"Forgive me for that, your Grace." she said distantly to the Princess, like lost in thought. "This instrument is rather...odd, just like me, you could say."

(The harp is the ancient Harp of Ages. No one in this timeline should known of it's origin or abilities except for Rabiyu AND the previous owner. Not even Princess Zelda.)

"It's quite alright Rabiyu. And I must say, that is an unique design for this type of harp." The Princess said. She took a moment to just take a look at the harp. It was unlike any other harp she has seen. It must be special. But back to the main problem at hand. Zelda looked back to the Warriors. "Now that it is all settled, it's now time for you all to get going. I know in my heart that you will all bring back peace to Hyrule...My best wishes to you." Zelda said before turning and walking back to stand in front of her throne. "You are now dismissed. Again, my best wishes to all of you."

Kai bowed to the Princess in response. "Thank you Princess Zelda. It was an honor meeting you." He said. The Kokiri then turned around and walked to the door. But he stopped in front of it and looked back to the others. "Well, come on guys! We are a team! Let's go and stop the madness!" He said, as energetic as ever. "If you ask me, I think the madness is just starting..." Pixi murmured to herself.

Irisviel moved closer to Zelda.

"I don't think you were right." Was all she said.

Turning around, she headed for the door, silent, and not at all thrilled about saving the Kingdom whose aristocracy caused her so much pain.

"Very well, Princess Zelda. I will not let you down." Sara bowed once again. Afterwards, she ran over to Irisviel. The girl didn't seem to be very cheerful... Sara decided to try to help her lighten up. "Excuse me," she began after catching up to the girl. "That instrument of yours... It is an ocarina, correct? You play it well! As did the others with their instruments, of course." She smiled. "My name is Sara. What is yours?" She had already introduced herself, but she thought that she should repeat her name before asking others for theirs.

Nox felt a chill run down her spine when Zelda called her by name. How much did the Princess know? She couldn't possibly know why she was here in this realm, could she? But Nox knew how to keep her body and face from betraying what she was thinking. To an observer, she maintained a slightly distainful air. Nox noted Rabiyu watching her. She wished she had had more time to watch and gauge the other warriors called, but wishing something different wasn't going to change anything.

The Twili perked slightly when Zelda started playing her lullaby, cocking an ear to take it in. She had been told of the use of songs for magical purposes in the Sacred Realm and had taken steps to learn a way to play them. While she did not trot out her instrument, she did commit the notes to memory.

As Kai moved to go to the door, Nox jumped to his shadow. She knew of the patterns the Sacred Realm went through, and this boy made showed many indications of being the Hero, though perhaps a little more talkative.

"Wrong." Nox said, looking up at Pixi. "The madness was here from the beginning."

Daka turned to Kai and nodded,"Wah! (Thanks!) Waah ohh aah 'Sonata of Awakening'. (It was an ancient tune called the 'Sonata of Awakening'.)" Sonata of Awakening was one of the few song names he could say in English. When Daka saw the princess come back, and then she played her lullaby, Daka followed along and tried memorizing the [buttons] tune. Daka stood straight and said,"Woo ahh. (We will do our hardest.) Wah oah? (Right everybody?)" Daka was ready for their journey ahead of them.

"Alright then! Let's go!" Kai then opened the door, already running out with an excited smile on his face. "Kai! Wait up!" Pixi called out to the boy, but he was too far gone. "You know...You might be right." She replied to Nox before flying after Kai, who was running out of the castle with the matter of bumping into some guards on the way. "Sorry! Heh heh!" He said to them.

He soon ran past the two guards guarding the entrance and jumped in the air in excitement, being outside. Meanwhile, Pixi was just catching up with Kai, flying as fast as she could. "Kai...You should at least slow down!" She said, annoyed. "You know I hate it when you do that!"

"I just can't help it Pixi! It's an adventure! What could be better? Hee hee!" He said. Once everyone else made it outside, he asked:

"Hey Daka! You have the map right? Where should we go first?" The expression on his face showed that he couldn't be more eager than he was to go start the journey ahead.

Daka ran after Kai and his Pixi friend, bumping into the same exact guards. He stopped near Kai and pulled out the map Zelda gave them. "Waah ohh wooh. (Let us see...) Wa oh na waah OhhAh. Ahh Naa. Waah ah. (We need to go to the Lake Hylia, outside of Hyrule Castle Town. We need to head Southward. Let's go.)" Daka pointed to a glowing waypoint on the map, then waves his arm forward as a sign of 'Move out!' Daka turned to Kai and told him,"Waah an woo na waaah. (I think we need to wait on the others and tell them about the place we need to check out.)" Daka put away the map.

Daka ran after Kai and his Pixi friend, bumping into the same exact guards. He stopped near Kai and pulled out the map Zelda gave them. "Waah ohh wooh. (Let us see...) Wa oh na waah OhhAh. Ahh Naa. Waah ah. (We need to go to the swamp outside of Hyrule Castle Town. We need to head Southward. Let's go.)"Daka pointed to a glowing waypoint on the map, then waves his arm forward as a sign of 'Move out!' Daka turned to Kai and told him,"Waah an woo na waaah. (I think we need to wait on the others and tell them about the place we need to check out.)" Daka put away the map.

Kai and Pixi both looked at the map to see where Daka said they should go. Since Pixi was just about the only one that could understand Daka, she could make out of what he was trying to say. "I think he's telling us that we should go to Lake Hylia." She said. In response, Kai nodded. "Alright. Buuuuut if you ask me..." Kai pointed to the mountain at the top right corner of the map, showing a picture of a volcano like mountain. "I would like to go to Death Mountain!" Kai said.

".....Oh for the love of Hylia....Why Death Mountain Kai? In case you haven't noticed from the name....

Death Mountain."

"Again....Death. It's in The name! Why in Hyrule would you want to go there first?" Pixi asked. She was chosen to be Kai's fairy for a reason. And this was the main reason. Risks. Very risky risks. "Well, it's exciting! It's dangerous! It's hot! And it has things that go "KA-BOOM!" Seems like my perfect spot to travel! Heh heh heh!"

Irisviel looked up at Sara.

"...Irisviel. The Exile." She scowled. "Why are you talking to me? Like, why?" She crossed her arms. "Why in the name of the Triforce do you care about making friends with me, I clearly despise everyone here."

"You looked like you were upset, so I decided to try to cheer you up." Sara explained. "After all, we are all partners here, right? I just wanted to help you." She grinned, seemingly unaware that Irisviel probably wanted her to go away. "Also, it is a pleasure to meet you, Irisviel."

Rabiyu bowed one last time and followed the others. She remained silent for the most part. Not that she didn't liked the people of the group, but she was not the talkative type, a side effect of living alone in the forest. While following the group Rabiyu noticed the Twili enter the kokiri's shadow."Should I worry about that?" She thought to herself. "She may be related to....Linda...? Ridna...? Can't remember that name."The kokiri kid seemed a little too excited about the whole "adventuring" thing, if the fate of Hyrule wasn't on the line maybe, just maybe, she would be excited too. The Ranger stealthy made her way towards Daka and Kai without making any sound, only when she was behind them she talked."I vote for Lake Hylia." She said, "We should avoid the mountain, at least for awhile. I don't think you have enough experience to handle the Death Mountain."Rabiyu then looked at Kay while pointing at Daka."Besides, our friend here would likely get hurt." Rabiyu said. "Dekus don't get along with fire. At least that's what I remember, unless they suddenly developed the ability to withstand the fire and...and I'm rambling, again. Please, excuse me for that, but you should take my advice of not going to the mountain for now."The Ranger then put her hand on Kai's head and ruffled his hair before walking a little ahead of the two to wait for the rest of the party.

"Lake Hylia sounds good, start out with the nearest and easiest, although death mountain we might need some fire resistant equipment..." Maxwell pondered Rabyiu's suggestion as he walked beside her, waiting the rest, he was just standing around as most spoke about harps and ocarinas, he didn't know how to play them, much less sing.

"And lets not get too excited, who knows what we're gonna be facing in this journey, best keep our guard up..." he added as he checked his sword's sheath and adjusted it, they had a deku, a little kid, a twili, a mercenary and a ranger from the mist fores, don't forget the exile, what could possibly go wrong?

"When everyone's ready we'l go, meanwhile, Rabyiu, about the mist forest, were you born there or did you go there to be stationed as a ranger? im curious" he couldn't help but ask.

Rabiyu bowed one last time and followed the others. She remained silent for the most part. Not that she didn't liked the people of the group, but she was not the talkative type, a side effect of living alone in the forest. As much as Daka hated to admit it, Rabiyu was right; He would not go too well with fire. Not without the proper stages of Armor and Magic Rings, of course. But they couldn't just get the rings so easily; They would need to actually find the Rings through various means. Daka replied,"Waah. (Exactly.) WeeAh OhhAh. (Plus, getting stronger and better weaponry is good.)" Daka nodded to Rabiyu in agreement. Daka then pulled out an empty bottle. "WooAh Na Waah. (We can even get water while we are at the Lake!)"

"I wonder." Rabiyu answered Maxwell before remaining silent for a few seconds. "I think it's something akin to self exile."

The Ranger stopped under the shade of a tree and turned to look at her companion.

"I"m from somewhere else." She said. "Somewhere entirely different. Although I can't seem to remember from where anymore."

Rabiyu shrugged and tilted her head to the side.

"How about you?" She asked. "What's your story."

"Ohh....Alright. Let's go to Lake Hylia!" Kai said, keeping his excitement. He chuckled a bit when Rabiyu ruffled his hair. "Alright! Then it's settled! We're going to the lake! Isn't that, like, the home of the Zoras or something like that? Maybe they could help us out!" Pixi said. "So you guys wait here. I'll go get those Opposites over there. BRB." The little pink sparkling sphere with wings then flew over between Sara and Irisviel. To get their attention, there was only one way...

"HEY! LISTEN! We've decided to go to Lake Hylia first and we're ready to move!" Pixi said to the two, then flew back to Kai. "Thank Hylia we don't have deal with any Ka-Booms yet..." She also commented.

"Self exile?" Maxwell couldn't help but comment as Rabyiu answered his question, he sighed and scractched the back of his head as she mentioned not remembering where she was from.

He did look at her as she asked him his origins though, "I lived most of my life in a nearby village from here, tried to become a knight once...you can guess it didn't work, after being rejected, I decided to do mercenary work, you know, travel around, live a life full of thrills and dangers..." He said as he shrugged, the weapons on his back and on his side, he certainly didn't look like a knight at all.

Irisviel facepalmed.

"I don't want your friendship. I don't care what you say, I just want to get this over with so I can go and live my miserable life away from Hyrule, aristocrats, and useless Princesses!" She stormed away from Sara, Thornscar silently bobbing on her back. She was utterly furious, and only the fact killing naive people would turn the group against her further, kept her hand steady.

She seriously needed to invest in a slave.

Sara was a bit surprised when Pixi suddenly flew over and began shouting. "Okay, thank you! We will go back with the others, then." She was about to turn and ask Irisviel if she was ready to leave, but instead, Irisviel seemed to be angry with Sara. Hm... maybe I should try talking to her again later. It doesn't seem like she wants to talk right now... Sara thought to herself. She decided to walk back over to the others. "I am ready to move on, if everyone else is." She announced, excited to get moving. She'd read about Lake Hylia in the past, but she'd never been able to see it in person. It sounded like a nice place to visit. She knew that they wouldn't be there just for sight-seeing, though.

Irisviel looked at Pixi with a glare that could topple mountains. She brushed past Sara and stayed on the fringe of the group, far away from talking to them. Annoying fairies, annoying girl...why the hell did she agree to any of this?

Pixi then flew around the group and then stopped in the middle, floating above the soon-to-be-Heroes. "Well, let's stop standing and start moving! We're going to Lake Hylia! You got that Kai?" She said, but when she look to her left diagonally downward, she saw that Kai was gone. "K-Kai? Where'd you go!?" She looked around frantically for the risk-taking Kokiri. This was really bad. It only takes a second for Kai to be gone and get into trouble! She just needed to find-

"Hey Guys!" The boy's voice could be heard being a bit far from the group, as he was already by the sign that said "To Lake Hylia". He innocently waved to the others. "What are you waiting for? The lake isn't going to come to us anytime soon!" He called out to the group.
"KAI!! At least wait for us!" Pixi yelled out, flying after Kai. Kai turned around, running ahead once again while keeping his eager smile.
"Heh heh heh heh!" Kai chuckled while he was heading towards the lake. But then, he stopped halfway from the entrance. He saw something that he sees as unusual.  Pixi was just catching up to Kai...And she was just annoyed. But she just couldn't express it due to the fact that she was tired. "Kai.....I outta....Wh-What are you looking at?"
She asked. "Umm.....Did somebody order an army of squid?" He said. Pixi looked and she was surprised too! An group of 9 Octoroks were coming their way, heading towards Hyrule Field on land! "O-O-Octoroks!? H-How did this happen!? They aren't supposed to be on land!" Pixi exclaimed. The Octoroks soon stopped. Their green eyes lowered to an angry expression. They saw Kai. One of them walked up a little a shot at him! "EEK!" Kai exclaimed. He quickly got out his Deku Shield, put it in front of his body, and the projectile bounced back to the sender. The Octorok then fell back and landed on its back. Kai moved his head to peak at what happened. Once he saw, a grin started to appear on his face. As a confident boy, which he was, he stood and blew a raspberry at the little army. "Take that! Is that all you got?" He teased. The Octorok soon jumped back up, and it was mad. "Uh oh....Not good..." Kai commented.

( EDIT: I put in the picture)

Nora smiled slightly as the octorocks... Wriggled? Slithered? Whatever, up. They were making this too easy. In the water, an octorok could submerge to avoid attacks. On land, not so much. Unless they had developed split second digging powers that she was unaware of. The knight decided to start with the one that had attacked Kai, running to clear the gap between them as the purple monster got up, beady green eyes glinting in fury. One diagonal slash up across its face was enough to finish it off, thanks to the rock Kai had deflected earlier.

Daka and the team were walking and found Kai and the Octoroks in Hyrule Field. Daka, without needing to be told, started to charge a shot from his mouth and prepared to fire a high-speed bubble at one of the Octoroks. When he sniped the Octorok, the shot sent it flying and blew up into darkness; causing Rupees and a Heart to float down. There was still a few left to be taken out.

"Way to run into the enemy." Nox said dryly from Kai's shadow.

Jumping through shadows, the Imp appeared in the shadow of one of the Octoroks.

"Now, hold still." She ordered, waving her hand.

Using telekinesis, Nox lifted the Octorok off the ground. Angered, it prepared to fire at her. At the last second, she twisted it around as it fired, causing the projectile to hit another Octorok.

"Good boy." She teased, grinning.

She swiveled the creature to look at Nora, but again moved it so that it shot one of its pod mates or what ever a group of Octoroks were called.

"Heh heh heh! Good one guys!" Kai commented as he smiled. There were still 7 more to take care of. He quickly took out his sword and with a grin, he ran in. "Let's go!" He said. The two Octoroks that Nox hit with their own teammate had jumped up in the air and landed right in front of Kai, with their eyes, of course, very mad. The kid skidded and stopped, being face-to-face with the two of them. He flipped backwards from them, still grinning. At the same time, they both charged up and let out 2 shots of rock projectiles! The shots were getting closer and closer to Kai until....

"It won't work on me this time!" Kai's Deku Shield was brought out and it clashed against the shots! They bounced back and were sent into the air diagonally. The two Octoroks' eyes went from angry to panic. One thought came their minds....

They're dead.

"Now it's my turn!" Kai's two legs and feet ran towards the squid monsters. With a "HAH!" heard and a slashing sound, the two were nothing but dark smoke. "4 down! Only 5 more to go!" Pixi said, coming in sight next to Kai.
