Disney Short films used as Summons?

Posted

I just recently watched the collection of Disney shorts on Netflix, and I got to thinking...What better way to have some of these short films be apart of the Kingdom Hearts universe other than being a summon! Obviously not every short film has a character worthy enough to be included as a summon, but I can really imagine short film characters like "John Henry" and Nessie ("Ballad of Nessie") being fun summons! Although not a short film, my biggest hope for a summon in KH3 is Elliot from "Pete's Dragon!"

No I think there will be more a boss fight for a dragon for like Sword in the Stone.or mayby Tangled.

I think also that Pete's Dragon is more for KH4 or other future KH titles.

As for the other guys I don't know them so I don't think that would be good.

Well...why not?

The idea for shorts being used as summons makes sense, granted, out of all the Disney shorts I can only imagine a few working.

Thats cause if we look at the Disney short collection you saw, along with the more recent Pixar shorts we have the choices of,to name a few:

-A volcano

-Some Umbrellas

-A fat blue cat

-A guy who makes airplanes

-A hungry dog(which I would want tbh)

- John Henry(kind of weird but it could work)

-A GIRL WHO DIED

-007 Elves

-And clocks

Theyd have to dig DEEP in order to find some shorts that would fit into the game. But Im in full support of the idea, cause Im sure there are some creative ideas in the shorts I havent listed. Like that Nessie idea you posted.

At first, I thought this idea was far too obscure, but now that you mention it, John Henry and Jessie would be amazing summons!

Winston as a summon wouldn't be half bad, however, I think Bolt has him covered in that department. At best, Lorenzo seems to be the best candidate as a summon.

My only wish is that Square Enix introduces Oswald The Goddamn Rabbit as a summon in KHIII.

I would rather Oswald be an actual character because of his history

Yeah, having someone like Oswald just as a summon would be lame.

Yeah, I would really just like to have a lot of characters from Mickeys past return. It would really be nice if they would actually expand his Kingdom where it isn't just the castle, but the town, and it's inhabitants, as well, but I mean something that seems more like an actual town like how it is in Epic Mickey,Toon Town or even the parks Not that one from birth by sleep.

Oswald is like the brother of Mickey Mouse. I don't think that Square Enix will put him in KHIII as a story character. Anyway I love Oswald and I'd be happy if they will decide to put him in the game.

Oswald would work perfectly in Timeless River if it returns (which has a high chance through Mickey's Get A Horse Short).

Oh man. Summons based on Disney short films? That is so freaking appropriate!

I'd love to summon Nessie in a battle! Maybe she could slip and slide around, or maybe she attacks by crying huge tear drops that rain down on enemies.

I'm really looking forward to timeless river making a return or something similar to it since in the game it's sort of the start of mickeys kingdom as the castle was still being built at the time.

JOHN HENRY, JOHN HENRY, JOHN HENRY IS A MIGHTY MAN (And a black Wreck-It Ralph too lol  )

Plus, it's a unique world that doesn't really follow Xehanort's convoluted time travel laws.

I don't think so. For summons, they used characters from movies that did not make it into the games so they most likely will do the same in KH3.

New Game = New Possibilities. If Julius was featured in Kingdom Hearts 3 then why can't other shorts do the same?

Julius was a secret boss in KH3D mind you. There could be a secret boss from a short in KH3, but I am just stating that for the past two numbered titles, the summons composed of characters from movies that did not make it into the games. That could stay the same since there are so many movies and you can't have them all in the game or else it would be way too long. With the new technology, that could change, but nothing is set in stone.
