If you're interested in RPGs, Xenoblade X would be a great game to get for the Wii U, too. The English release is in early December, so the game would be out in time for Christmas. Regardless, this looks like a pretty solid list!

 

Also, just a tip: if you're in North America, GameStop is selling a Black Friday Wii U bundle with Smash 4 and Splatoon for $279.99. Since both of those games are on your list, that might be worth looking into.

I don't see how it's blasphemy. Not everyone here is more excited for Kingdom Hearts than everything else.

That's a pretty good list, in my opinion. You've got every game I would recommend on the WiiU. Mario Kart 8 and Smash are great fun, and Splatoon is one of the few shooters that I've actually liked. I think you'll be very happy with that list.
