Diwali is the festival that Hindus and Sikhs celebrate, but because of the sheer number of religions in India you'll probably see people from other religions celebrating (I can only think of Jains and Maharashtrians, and I don't even know if they do celebrate it. Not even sure I spelled Maharashtrians right xD)

And yeah festival of light, fireworks sparklers, holi as well I think?

Primarily a Hindu/Sikh/Indian worldwide cultural festival, the new year for all of us. We set off fireworks, pray, clean our houses, eat sweets and so forth to celebrate good defeating evil (Dates back to ancient story). Everything 2quid said. In India at this time of year the celebrations are absolutely amazing. Google it! xD

Pakistani and India used to be together, they are practically the same thing. They are always warring over petty things tho xD

It's true, i've been thinking about Partition a lot recently. My family are from Punjab, so it was heartbreaking because many people were left behind or died trying to cross over.

I find it so stupid how they split up Punjab and Kashmir, they should've just given one of them to either side

Happy Diwali to all who celebrate it! May you all have a wondrous wonderful day lighting up the world!  0/*

I celebrate it as well, Happy Diwali! I thought it was Wednesday though.
