Will the return of Xehanort and the upcoming Keyblade war make the Disney Villains more of a challenge/daring in KH3?

Posted

I was recently replaying Dream Drop Distance and I kind of came up with this mini theory/random idea. In 3D Maleficent felt the change in the favour of darkness which was Xehanort returning and thus invaded Disney Castle, taking Minnie hostage in exchange for the datascape.

This makes me wonder will this have a smilier impact on disney villains in their individual worlds. For example, could Xehanort's return be a factor for Hades potentially releasing the Titans to attack the other Gods because he too has felt the shift in darkness?

If this is the case, then this could explain another reason why Sora is travelling the worlds again and could also mean each world would be a fierce challenge for Sora to protect the light?

Personally, I think it would be interesting if this either A) made the villains and the worlds more plot relevant rather B) To make the villains more of a challenging fight.

maybe I'm overthinking this

Possibly; the  enemies must be stronger now if they want to make Sora's journey challenging.

But during the D23 they talked about why Sora should find the 7 lights to protect the princesses or somethig like that.

Well since this is the last game in the Xehanort saga, it's kind of a given that they'd ramp up the difficulty all around,it

only makes sense that the villians get a similar treatment.

Ironically, it's usually the Disney antagonists that are easier to go against...

When one makes the darkness act more aggressively, the rest of the servants follow suit. I think the villains will be more daring and challenging to the seven.

It would be cool if Xeahnort sent out Keyblade wielders to the worlds and they were dark seekers summoning heartless and you had to do battle against other keybladers. That would be a great change from "defeat the heartless of (insert character name here)" or "defeat the (insert nobody boss name here)"

EDIT: Because I personally loved fighting Lingering spirit, Vanitas' spirit, and Xeahnort in Bbs. It was cool fighting keyblade against keyblade and it would be awesome to expand on that.

Honestly I hope it does man the Disney bosses get harder like maybe back to KH1 scale difficulty plus some even harder difficulty boss fights Cause most of the original fanbase are adults at this stage so we're gonna need a bit of a challenge hopefully in the form of an even harder difficulty than proud mode that way kids who aren't as use to games can still enjoy it.

Remember that One-HP ring in Days? Spam the crap out of your ultimate and hope you don't die!

What about KH1 Sephiroth even with lvl 100 and Ultima weapon dude was still a hard boss to beat. like honestly im looking for challenge not for a rage induced coma

I like where you're going with this!  Yes, I could definitely imagine Xehanort's latest machinations have caused all other villains in the worlds to sense this shift of darkness! Hey, if this makes the villains difficult boss battles in Kingdom Hearts III, I'm all up for it! :D

I hope that in KH3 we will see the outcome of the Disney Worlds cause if Xehenort is close to winning, darkness has to show its impact of the other worlds.

You forgot one thing: Sora will be op as firetruck at the start (cause keyblade master). Unless they find some really Nomura-esque way to nerf his damage when he starts out. (level 1). I can't wait for endgame Sora in KH3. That will be fun!
