I was wondering in Kingdom Hearts III if Sora is going to be left out of the loop in retrieving the trio Keyblade wielders. Last we saw him, Sora didn't pass the Mark of Mastery Exam. Due to not being a Master, does that mean he can't know certain information like in Birth by Sleep? From the limited information so far it seems Sora won't be helping in the search and rescue for Aqua, Terra, and Ventus. Correct me if I am miss reading what has been released for information and games so far.

 

 

I don't think so because there had been hints in Birth by Sleep, Re:Coded, and Dream Drop Distance that Sora will be the one to save those who are connected to his heart from their hurting. Also in Re:Coded it's pretty obvious that Mickey and Yen Sid already know where Aqua is and since they know where her location is why haven't they tried and rescue her? Which is why we have 0.2 Birth by Sleep A Fragmentary Passage because it says that Mickey will reveal some secrets to Sora, so maybe Mickey will reveal why he wasn't able to rescue her in the Realm of Darkness. Plus I think it would be out of character for both Mickey and Yen Sid for not telling Sora some important information.

A main character not doing what is probably the second most important task? Come on, Sora may not be a Keyblade Master, but there is probably a whole lot more to it than that. Like Movies798 said, Sora is the one who will save them, as it was hinted in the last three games (excluding the ReMIXs).

Kairi isn't a Master either, but she's being told about Aqua. And hasn't it been said that Sora will be a Master by KH3? I mean literally the only thing stoping him from being a Master is Yen Sid not saying "Congratulations, you're a Keyblade Master"

Honestly the MoM was to prepare them for Xehanort. Not for learning stuff like where the trio is. Besides I think the "secrets" that come with the MoM are more ability based. Having them not being told that there are people who need saving is ridiculous.

At this point there isn't really point to withholding information like that. Sora will likely be told that kind of stuff whether he's a Master or not, it's crucial that he knows.
