I lost all hope in Nintendo for the rest of the year.

Posted

Don't get me wrong. I put my hype down low as I can so i wouldn't be as disappointed as the people who had high hopes for the game awards and the something "big" announcement.

First I thought they would show awesome games that people have been waiting for years to get released, but they didn't show anything new at the game awards, then when I heard that Nintendo's going to announce something big to us, I thought it was going to be a nintendo direct or something of the sort to make up for what they didn't do at the game awards. when they confirmed that minecraft is going to be on the wii u, I was disappointed thinking that this was Nintendo's something big that they were teasing fans earlier.

Maybe I'm judging a little too harshly. I've been thinking about getting multiple games that I've been unable to get (Triforce Heros, Mario Maker, and Xenoblade Chronicles X) if I even gotten those games, I don't think that it would have made to what Nintendo did at most of the gaming events this year.

Well you can give up all hope for them, but I think the Pokken Tournament announcement is going to be awesome and you can't stop me from being hyped about that! I mean it's a new character for the game and support Pokemon, and if the leak is true, than it could be Sceptile as the new playable character! Plus, when they do show Pokemon The Movie Hoopa and the Clash of Ages finally on Cartoon Network, I bet this is going to be an awesome movie no matter what! Plus don't forget that we have a Smash Bros broadcast coming soon and Cloud is coming to Smash Bros soon enough! So you can't stop my hype no matter what you try and say! :)

I think the whole MC thing is just a coincidence. Everyone forgot that Nintendo said the Smash broadcast is in December. I think the broadcast is today

Do you want me to be completely honest? If you do, look at the spoiler tag:

It doesn't really matter if you've lost all hope in Nintendo for the rest of the year, after all, the year is nearly over xD

I'm not trying to bring anybody down. I'm just saying how well/poorly nintendo has been for me this year

Well maybe you don't like Pokken, but I actually do and so I can enjoy this new information about the game later this week! Plus, I am still a fan of the Pokemon anime so I can enjoy the new movie, while others may not. And I think the Smash Bros news will be decent enough, plus Cloud looks like an awesome character in Smash Bros to me!

This is disappointing, but they've released plenty of amazing games already this year. It's kinda going overboard to give up hope in them because of one announcement.

It won't be today, they'd have to announce the broadcast at least a day before airing it. Can't have a broadcast without setting up a proper time for it and announcing the time.

Nintendo never said there was a big announcement today. It was on a random podcast that some guy (who specifically works at Nintendo's Third Party Division) said that something big would be announced today. Regardless of how you feel about the game, Minecraft IS a big game, and it IS a big deal that it is now on the Wii U. Everyone complains how Nintendo needs more 3rd Party support for the Wii U. Well, Minecraft is definitely one of the big ones.I love my Wii U, and it still has a few good games left on it, but it's done. Nintendo has moved all development to the NX, so don't expect anything "major" to be announced. Idk what happened at the Game Awards, but they don't owe anyone anything.

It wasn't just because of one announcement. it was because of e3 too.

It's a good thing there's only like 25 days left in the year.

and that's why I waited til December to make this post. If I did it at the beginning of the year, it really wouldn't have made sense because I wouldn't know what to expect, and since I know what happened with Nintendo all this year, I decided to make this post.

Well tbh people kinda expected Minecraft since it was somebody involved with indies that said for the big announcement.

plus there was that PEGI leak.

for some reason I never heard of the leak until now.

I thought their E3 presentation was great. Ryu, Roy, and Lucas for Smash, Mother 1 in English, and while the Digital Event wasn't as solid as last year's, they showed a lot of interesting new games. Next year's shaping up to be even better, too.

I got all my information from GameXplain so...

E3 was okay for it, it just lacked zelda u and a mainline mario title

They said that Zelda U wouldn't be featured a month before their presentation. They wouldn't have had much to show, anyway, given that it was delayed and they were still working hard on it. There wouldn't have been much worth showing, unless people wanted a rushed game. Also, Super Mario Maker is a mainline Mario title, and it got a lot of coverage at E3.

it was actually leaked on the day the Nov 12 direct was gonna start. People expected Nintendo to announce it there

http://www.destructoid.com/pegi-site-lists-minecraft-for-wii-u-320337.phtml right tere. :P

thanks. For some reason, this didn't get on GameXplain.

Reggie said that he wanted to show zelda u at e3, but he just didn't for some reason.

Fixed it for you.

Now seriously, Minecraft is old and boring now, it was a big game 5 or 6 years ago (or even more, I just can't remember when it was released xD), but that only lasted for a couple of years for 60% of the people who played it, some still think it's a great game, but most people don't, that's fact, sorry to tell you.

However, you're right, people getting dissapointed by what a random guy working at Nintendo said isn't very clever xD

Sigh, you're right. Even though some people are hyping this up as a win (and to an extent it is), this game is a few years too late. Even with the promise of exclusive Nintendo content for Minecrafte, this should have been a launch title for the Wii U.

MC should have been something in the Wii, WiiU is too late.

You did exactly the same thing again. Remember D23 with the KH Premium event with no trailer being released? You fell into that trap again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Got it memorized?
