I know this is a lot to read, but I would request that everyone read this main post through before posting, as it contains some very useful information for getting started in the RP.  The map may also be useful to refer to.

 

It is in the heart of December in what little remains of the world.  What once was a planet that flourished is now dying from its own society, very little of the earth remaining, predominately dominated by the New Empire itself.  Over the past year a massive war has been waged, one that cost many their lives.  Among the lives lost was the dark emperor himself.  Consumed by power, glory, and darkness, Korben was defeated at the hands of his enemy, the rebellion group started by his ex-general: the Order of Lux.

 

The Order's leader, Eclaire Tonnerre, sought to create a republic for the remaining nation, striving to end the oppression that was slowly killing their land and its society.  She was going to end the destruction of elves, the experimentation on adolescents, and create peace and true order.  However, things did not go according to plan, and a new evil lurking within the shadows struck.  At the time of victory for the rebellion, Oryx and his men attacked.  They had been waiting for the opportune moment, and arrived it had.  He forced Eclaire to retreat, many believing her to be dead.  Instead, she rallied the remains of her loyal comrades, as well as a few newcomers, to her cause: the Messiah.  A small group working silently, they plan to somehow get things straight, from a new government that treats its society worse than before.  Oryx, the demon god, has now taken his place upon Korben's throne, ruling a crippled Langerdon in the New Empire.  The criminal underworld has aligned themselves loyally, though many seek their own means rather than the good of their nation.

 

After the war, much was lost, including many of the highly advanced weapons and technology that Gabriel Stross had built and designed.  Tanzynite production has slowed, if not halted, at the loss of Doctor Julius Verstand, causing the deaths of many who were dependent upon Tanzynite.  Now the price of the chemical has skyrocketed, driving people to desperate and drastic measures to acquire the funds for their survival and addiction.

 

Upon Eclaire's absence and the news of her death, Yevgeni Malachite, human in appearance and part-angel in blood, seized the base of the Order of Lux, disheartened by all of the many lives lost from the war.  So much blood had been shed, and now he is determined to right the wrong and have equal blood shed by the empire.  Renaming Eclaire's rebellion to the Seraphim Order, Yevgeni is the leader of the new rebellion, their symbol one of peace and a union between humans and mages.  Yevgeni's motives and actions are entirely unique and his own, and while he empathizes heavily with losses, there is an odd glint in his eye that makes one wonder if he's enjoying it.

 

Perhaps you are of one of these conflicting sides, or maybe you have chosen to remain neutral and watch the conflict from afar.  Many of the members of the Seraphim Order are currently leaving Rhasolvich, after a charitable contribution to the rebuild of their village.  Meanwhile, the New Empire is in a conference, with Oryx at their head.  What they shall discuss is up to the Emperor himself, though perhaps the movement of the Seraphim Order, or even Messiah, is of great alarm to them.  Most, if not all members of Messiah, are likely aboard the ship Oathkeeper, doing whatever it is you're doing to keep alive and plan your next move, likely awaiting Eclaire's orders.  If you are neutral, I wish you luck surviving the streets of whatever city or town you're in.  You can be anywhere on the map, but Langerdon is heavily guarded as is the Forgotten Isles:

(All red territories are imperial, whereas blue are loyal to the Seraphim Order and have not yet been seized by the New Empire.  Langerdon is the Imperial capital, while the City of Ruin is the Seraphim Order's base.  Further descriptions of these towns and villages will come shortly, courtesy of Vaude for taking the time and dedication to writing them.)

- Rufus Contralto - Neutral - Hylvania -

 

As Rufus listened to the intricate nastiness of the bug juice, he felt two things:  his stomach lurch and deep regret for asking for the recipe.  Luckily for him the process of restraining himself from vomiting came easily due to his many reverse summonings, but the slick, thick gathering of what probably was bug innards on his tongue and teeth made things considerably more difficult.  When White Heart ended her bit of the conversation, he was collected enough to answer in some confusion.

 

"Eh?" he asked, looking over the ship's side.  Sure enough, they were close to Hylvania, the rolling hills dissolving into trickles of rivers heading for the ocean across little plains.  "A fortuitous turn of events this be!  No notion had I that we were nearby!"

 

"Cap'n!" shouted Reggie from the crow's nest, his face oddly pallid.  "Columns of smoke on the horizon, over Hylvania!"

 

Rufus blinked as he looked at the fore of the ship.  He did not take any note of it before, but sooty smoke rose out from the horizon, blearing the right side of the setting sun with its inky presence.  There was no mistaking that it was suffering from some ordeal.  The smog emitted was probably more than the city of Hylvania produced in a year, and Rufus, while he knew what it was, was in a state of disbelief.

 

"That can only be an Imperial attack," he murmured under his breath, his jaw and hands hanging slack.

 

"My wife . . . my kid," Reggie lamented, openly weeping and disappearing from sight.

 

"Imperials must have . . ." Pogo stated before cutting himself off with a slam of his fist against the ship's balustrade.

 

"My fiance can't be gone.  He can't be," repeated Lelita.  Unable to remove her hands from the wheel, she laid her forehead on one of the grips with tears welling up.

 

"Think not of that!  That's an order!" Rufus bellowed, his head unflinching from the gaze at the head of the ship.  "You will see your wife and kid again, Reggie, and your fiance as well, Lelita.  To the rest of you, know your loved ones will be safe, stuck somewhere in the survival shelters, so remain alert and remain steadfast for when you are needed!  Lelita, forward.  Pogo, arms.  Reggie, see if the Empire is still there."

 

Rufus, born with an eloquent tongue, would probably not surprise many with inspirational words, but none of his crew besides White Heart would have been able to see his face.  Tears streamed down as he faced the dying light, and the cup in his hand crumpled into pieces, either shattering or burning from magical heat.  He knew there were no survival shelters.  He knew he was lying.  He knew the people there were most likely doomed, and that knowledge, that guilt, was a tremendous burden.

Jynn Venas - Seraphim Order - City of Ruin

 

Jynn wakes to the sound of his alarm. He takes a look outside his window right next to his bed and sees that a small bit of the sun is peeking from the darkness. He slowly gets up so he does not wake Riley. She is not the best person to be around in the early morning. As soon as he leaves his room, he gets changed and walks out of the aircraft. He sees that one of his men brought Melstrome along. Jynn grabs a hay bale from the storage section behind Mel's stall and places it in front of the horse. "Eat up bud, today is going to be a rough day." Jynn said. Mel immediately begins to pork down the bale. "I wonder if anyone else is awake."

 

As soon as Mel finishes eating, Jynn grabs his riding gear, and he leads the gelding to his private jet. Mel goes into the stall in the cargo bay and Jynn closes the stall door. "Yevgeni must be awake. I need to know what our plan of attack is." As Jynn heads towards the cockpit, he closes the entrance quietly and continues to the cockpit. He activates the silencers on the engines, and takes off without Riley waking. He stays at a low altitude. The city is not too far.

 

Once he reaches the city, Jynn lands the plane. The wheels softly grab the ground, and the craft slows to a halt.

Fiora - Messiah

 

Fiora hadn't exactly expected Eclaire to ask such a normal question while she was in such danger, but she wasn't really surprised, either. "I was able to defeat one of the clones... It seemed like the target managed to escape, though." Fiora gave a short report. "I'm still in good shape. It looks like you can't say the same thing for yourself..." What happened during the fight that caused this much damage? Fiora began to wonder to herself. It was a good thing she wasn't any further away, or the situation would have been even worse. Fiora continued healing Eclaire for a while, eventually finishing the process. "You should be fine, although I doubt that you'll be feeling much better until you've had some time to rest... I hope you're not planning to go back to fighting right now." After a pause, Fiora figured that she should try to find out what happened during the other battle. "What did that woman do to put you in this shape, anyway...? Is she still here?" Fiora hoped that the woman was gone. The sooner they could leave, the sooner they could rest and prepare for the next fight. Fiora wasn't sure if she'd be able to defend Eclaire if another powerful opponent arrived. She might have had a lot of combat experience, but if the enemy could deal this much damage, it would be a tough fight to win. There was the other man who was offering his assistance earlier, but she never had a chance to determine his strength. She just had to hope that he'd be able to help out in a battle as well...

 

 

Indy - Empire

 

In the heat of the battle, Indy made a decision that he knew wasn't the smartest: instead of trying to dodge Victoria's incoming attack, he ran straight towards her, preparing to finish her off in a clash of brute strength. He knew that it would be dangerous to mirror her charging attack, but he was getting sick of the battle at this point. The sooner this ended, the better. He would kill her now and be free of that incident. His grip on his sword tightened as he ran ahead. "You're calling me an idiot?! You're the one that decided to battle me here instead of leaving me to my work! You're the one that's so insistent on 'saving' me! If you weren't still clinging to those memories of what happened before, you wouldn't have to face me today! You wouldn't need to die over something so insignificant! I'll make sure you regret letting those emotions control you so easily!"

 

 

Allitt - Messiah

 

After flying for a while, Allitt eventually came within range of Hylvania. However, it seemed as though something was... off. She could see smoke coming from the city. "This... looks bad." She sped up, hoping to arrive in time to see if she could help with evacuating citizens or battling the person that was responsible for what seemed to be an attack. I hope I'm not too late... She frantically studied the ground beneath her, trying to find the best place to land. She had to get to the city soon, but she also needed some cover for the ship...

- Zane (New Empire) - currently somewhere in Langerdon

As Zane awaited Oryx to speak with him the black robed girl Zane spoke to a while back was stalking a group of soldiers walking down the streets of Langerdon that were all clad in special armor "It seems these fools are just patrolling the area. I better undo this clone now since I have the info I come for." said the mysterious girl as she then made a hand sign which caused her body burst into water.  

 

- Sahail (Criminal Underworld) - currently heading towards Godolvia

It was now barely early in the morning & Sahail had been Riding in an open train cart for some time now heading towards Godolvia. Sahail was already awake from sleeping & was eating & drinking some food supplies that were on the train's cart while dark Heart's whisper was just staring into the sky above "...This world will never be what I expected, & if I don't belong...who would have guess it?" said Dark Heart's whisper while she continued to stare into the sky "Hm? what was that Dark Heart?" asked Sahail as she walked near her while eating some food "Oh, it's nothing. Tell me Sahail, why are we heading back to Godolvia?" asked Dark Heart's whisper as she looked towards Sahail.

 

"hehe, If you remember we were ordered to erase those who live their by Zack, but you let some survive, mostly kids remember?" said Sahail "Yes I remember, do you plan to kill the survivors?" asked Dark Heart's whisper "Well, that was the plan I had in mind once I had killed you but after reading those books in Shivering Moors library about the past war I found something very interesting. It seems that there is a race of dwarves living beneath the city of Godolvia & they dig for gold, diamonds & emeralds that were once the main source used by the old empire to keep it's city Langerdon wealthy & bathing in luxury." said Sahail as she starts to twirl her hair "& I want all that gold, diamonds & emeralds to myself so I can bath in it, hahahaha!" laughed Sahail  "That warm feeling my body gets from bathing in gold & other riches is just overwhelming my mind right now. If you were a dragon you'd know what I mean Dark Heart. That's why I'm heading back there, I'm gonna make those stupid dwarves home, my home, & if those darn dwarves don't like it I'll just burn them all to death, or If I get hungry I could always eat them instead hehe" giggled Sahail with a grin on her face. 

 

Dark Heart's whisper narrowed her eyes at Sahail "Her heart has blackened more than I thought it would from my blood...should I mention I fought her sister in Godolvia?" thought Dark Heart's whisper as the 2 come ever closer to their destination. 

 

- Rei & Yagyu (Both Seraphim Order) - currently in City of Ruin

The morning was coming upon those in the City of Ruin & as usual Yagyu was up early just before dawn outside going over her morning training routines. "I need to make sure I'm ready for anything, I can't let my thoughts cloud my mind anymore than they already have. I must focus myself & my mind & my...heart" said Yagyu to herself. After her short morning training Yagyu finishes it with some stretches & after she finished them she took a moment to enjoy the fresh air outside & could soon see Aqua staring outside her bedroom window. "I see that Aqua's up...I wonder if Yev is awake yet? Maybe I should visit his bedchambers to make sure he's up too" said Yagyu to herself as she then heads back inside.

 

Meanwhile Rei had spent almost all night working on a bunch of healing things for the upcoming battles & had fallen asleep on the lab's desk table with her cheek in a small pool of drool. suddenly an alarm clock that was near her went off "BLAHH!! WHA! WHO?!...oh my, is it time to get up already?" said Rei half asleep as she turned off the alarm clock & slowly walked over to a practice dummy trying to pull it's hand off. "C-come on White Heart, give me your hand cup already, I need my energy drink to wake me up now my dear" said Rei obviously seeing things since she's still very very sleepy, & also not a morning person.

 

Yagyu was quietly walking down the hallway hoping to not wake anyone up just yet as she headed towards Yev's bedroom. "I wonder what Yev wears when he goes to bed?... maybe he wears very special clothes that were given to him by his mother or a close sibling. Or maybe he wears something really embarrassing, like a love heart patterned underwear. Or maybe he wears...nothing at all!" thought Yagyu suddenly getting a nosebleed. Yagyu soon came to Yev's bedroom door & after cleaning her nosebleed & her mind of strange thoughts she was now deciding on just how she should check in on Yev. "Should I knock first & whisper his name before I enter, or should I slowly enter while knocking then whisper is name?...or maybe, hmm..." thought Yagyu still thinking on her approach.                          

 

- White Heart (Neutral) - currently aboard Rufus's pirate ship in Hylvania

White Heart look out towards the distance as Hylvania come in sight. White Heart didn't expect to see such destruction & chaos happen in such place like this, but nor did she expect anything from the start. "...an imperial attack?" thought White Heart for a moment until she saw the reactions of Rufus's crew. White Heart closely looked at each of them & what they did & said in the moment, Reggie openly weeping, Pogo slamming his fist against the ship's balustrade, Lelita laying her forehead on one of the wheel's grips not moving a muscle. White Heart could feel her positive & negative  gauge fill up more, after Rufus gave his order White Heart instantly followed it but once she saw his face in tears she felt something deep inside of her start to hurt that she just couldn't understand. "What is this?...is this a feeling?" thought White Heart as she put a hand to her chest. After quickly replacing her hand cup with another hand White Heart placed her right hand on top of Rufus's hand that crumpled her hand cup gently & softly spoke to him "I can feel your heart's feelings Rufus, your crews feelings, it...hurts." said White Heart.

 

White Heart then turned her head to scanning a big part of Hylvania before turning her head back to Rufus "I have scanned most of Hylvania & have come to a 94% chance of failure for any attempt to save this village & it's people. I can not calculate an accurate survival chance should we enter the village to help. But, I won't go against your orders should you chose to help this village or not Captain...you may even use me to save anyone I can for you while you & your crew remain safe here on your ship Captain" said White Heart softy.

{Jynn & Riley Venas- Seraphim Order, City of Ruin}

 

Jynn gets out of a seat and grabs an air horn on the shelf right next to the entrance to the cockpit. He quietly heads towards the room Riley is sleeping in. As he enters, he closes the door. He whispers for her to wake up. "Riley, it's time to get up." Riley instead rolls her pillow on top of her head and groans. "Wake me up in thirty minutes........" Jynn rolls his eyes and shakes the air horn and then aims it at her head. He then blows the horn. The young woman spooks abruptly at the loud and irritating horn. "JYNN, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Jynn stops blowing the horn. Jynn quietly chuckles. "Good morning starshine. The Earth says "Hello!" Riley growls at him. "Why are you waking me up this early?" Jynn turns his back at her. "Just get dressed. I'm going to meet up with Yevgeni and the others to plan our attack. You stay here and get the aircraft ready." He takes Mel out of the stall and walks him out of the airliner. Jynn looks at the ground. The grass was overgrowing and uneven. Jynn turns his head to the equine to give Mel something to do. "Say, Mel? This grass is pretty long and uneven. Why don't you browse and even it out?" The pegasus quickly lowers his head and starts grazing. Jynn then walks to the building Yev is in.

- Rufus Contralto - Neutral - currently near Hylvania on airship -

 

Rufus glanced over to White Heart pitifully, emotions continuing to stream off him before he wiped away his tears, bitter anger and determination filling the void known as loss and the evil known as deception.  He had good reasons to lie, but untruths sting the heart and breed distrust.  However, it seemed that the city's battlescape was not heavily occupied by troops.  In fact, it seemed that the battle was over, and that the city had surrendered or died trying.  He looked toward his crew and made another hard decision.  For the sake of a few survivors, he could not take a garrison or risk the lives of his beloved crew, new and old.

 

"White Heart, your crash-landing on my vessel is perhaps the greatest aid anyone's given me in my life, intentional or not.  Firm need of assistance have I for saving the lives of innocents, and with your abilities our actions could be fruitful.  Will you help me?"

 

Pogo looked over to the captain with befuddlement and hurt on his face, and Rufus identified the eagerness to help within him.

 

"Cap'n--"

 

"No, Pogo, you'll only get in the way.  You may be good at sneaking, knifeplay, and thievery, but never have daring heroics matched your repertoire.  Much appreciation for your offer, nonetheless.  I expect nothing less of me first mate and a future captain."  Launching a smile around towards his crew, eyes still puffy from tearing up earlier, he turned towards White Heart and said, "Are you willing?"

- Sahail (Criminal Underworld) - currently heading towards Godolvia

While still on the train heading to Godolvia Sahail was just reading up on Dark Heart's or Kurome's Zanzia race's book trying to gain more insight on how to harness her new powers & the race's history. "Hmm...okay, I've covered CH2-Old war, CH3-Zanzia creation, CH4-Unknown Disease, CH-5 New Gen & CH6-Whispers. There's only 1 chapters left to cover & then I'll know everything about your race Kurome, hehe" said Sahail with a grin on her face. Dark Heart's whisper just closed her eyes for a moment before speaking "Sahail, do you have a sister?" asked Dark Heart waiting patiently for an answer. "...No." said Sahail quietly "Really?...cause back when I first met you in Godolvia I met someone before you with the same scent as yours." said Dark Heart's whisper "...Listen here Kurome, if you want to know more about my past then you first need to tell me what I want to know from you first, okay? hehehe" said Sahail with a grin on her face. "Fine then" said Dark Heart's whisper "Hehe, okay then, so in chapter 2 of the Zanzia book about some old war between demons & angels it describes that a 2nd gen Zanzia female & a pure Zanzia female who were said to be a great force against the angels until they both suddenly vanished from the war. Are you by any chance one of the 2 that vanished Kurome?..." said Sahail waiting for a reply. Dark Heart's whisper gave a narrow look towards Sahail before speaking "Yes, I am that 2nd gen Zanzia from the war." said Dark Heart's whisper "But, if that's true then why does the description of your appearance not much up to what you look like now? You look more like this Uzume person I read about in those old war books back in Shivering Moors" asked Sahail confused a little. Dark Heart's whisper just said "we're here Sahail"

 

& with that said Sahail turned her head to see that she had finally arrived in Godolvia "Looks like talking will have to wait Kurome, guess that means I won't be telling you about my past anytime soon, not like I was actually going to tell you anything in the first place hahaha!" laughed Sahail as she jumped off the train landing on her feet with Dark heart's whisper near her "Black hearted as ever Sahail." said Dark heart's whisper.

 

- Rei & Yagyu (Both Seraphim Order) - currently in City of Ruin

Rei was now more awake then ever before thanks to the help of a cup of coffee beans. Rei was walking down the hallway were most of our soldiers slept "Ahh, I feel much better now that I'm fully awake now." said Rei as she took some coffee beans out of her cup eating them with her mouth open "Oh! that reminds me. I better check in to see if that nice elf lady Aqua is up & atom yet...I wonder if she'd like to be friends with me, It would be nice to have someone I can talk to on our journey" said Rei to herself with glee as she soon found Aqua's bedroom lightly knocking on her door "Um...Hello? miss Aqua, are you up yet? I do hope your dressed my dear cause we're to be ready to go soon" said Rei as she slowly opened the door entering the room to see Aqua near her window. "Ah, good, your up Aqua. Good morning my dear" said Rei softly right before she eat some more coffee beans from her cup. 

 

Yagyu finally got her act together & enter Yev's bedroom. Yagyu slowly opening his door sneaking a peak inside "Leader?...Yev?...Yeeeeeev?..." whispered Yagyu hoping he would answer her, but there was no reply. Yagyu slowly entered into Yev's room looking towards his bed to find he wasn't even in it "W-where is my leader?!..." thought Yagyu as she quickly looked around & went through Yev's drawers looking all over the room for clues "Well, It looks like he wasn't attacked within the night since I can't see any signs of blood or a break in. Wait, I haven't check this drawer yet" said Yagyu as she then opened the last drawer only to find Yev's underwear drawer. Yagyu suddenly blushed while also suddenly getting a nosebleed again which dripped onto a pair of Yev's underwear "Oh no! Wha! what am I suppose to do now?!" thought Yagyu as she grabbed the pair of Yev's underwear "I better just keep this until I wash it, then I'll just sneak it back in his drawer later when he's not around, that should work, okay then." said Yagyu as she then put the pair of Yev's underwear in her clothing.

 

Yagyu then could see the pale moonlight seeping through Yev's curtains, Yagyu walked over to them & decided to open the curtains wide open. The shadows the moon's light created reminded Yagyu of a feeling she could never let go of in her heart, it was the feeling of love she had for her little sister Sahail. Yagyu stared at all the shadows the moon's light fell upon & could only find herself deep in thought "Every time I see the moon's shadows I only think of you Sahail...& that horrible day. The day I not only lost my right eye but also you sister. I may have replaced my right eye with a demon's eye but this eye patch of mine has always been a constant  reminder of what I did & said to you on that day. I don't deserve to be your sister Sahail but, I truly believe your alive somewhere out there Sahail, & when I find you...I'll apologize over & over hoping you'll forgive me my dear sister." said Yagyu to herself. "I had best find Yev, just to make sure he's safe" thought Yagyu as she then walked just outside of Yev's bedroom.

White Heart looked at Rufus & gave a nod understanding him without words. Tho at the same time White Heart couldn't help but wonder "Why is it I can feel such strange things?..." thought White Heart for a moment. White heart then gave a stern look at Rufus as she placed her left hand on his right shoulder "Captain, you only need to say the order to me & I'll take you down to ground level with me to help this village's survivors escape capture or even death itself, I give you my 100% chance to not crash land like when we first met Captain..." said White Heart.
