I just feel like I need to apologize to the people who I hurt because I think that's what caused certain people to block me or defriend me over the last few months. I'm very sorry for hurting you guys. I didn't really mean it. It's just that I have A LOT of unpopular opinions so people don't really agree with it so much and makes me want to force my opinion on other people because I think that they don't necessarily respect it while I respect theirs. I know you guys won't be unblocking me for  a while, but for maybe one last time, I will try me best to change this year, no, I WILL change this year.

People blocked you for... Expressing your honest opinion? How bad could they have been? Your opinions, I mean? You never really SEEMED mean or rude.

Hmm, perhaps I have not been involved enough in your opinions, but I've partaken in a number of your discussions and I never found your opinions to be rude or forceful.  You've simply stated your thoughts or opinions, but if someone countered them with others (as I know I disagreed a few times), you were only respectful in response.  I don't know why you have been blocked by others, but are you certain this truly has something to do with it?

 

In sum, I think you're a very respectful user on here and I enjoy hearing your opinions, so I wouldn't be too concerned about this.  It'd be one thing if you were bashing others for theirs, but you're not.

That's exactly it. There is a possible chance that you, Luke, are being targeted by other users. They are very strict about information, and some, but not all, are pushing it to the extreme and trying to make you ask for mercy by making you feel horrible about what you say, thereby making you want to change. In one word: TROLLS.But, I'm not saying this is true for all, if any, members who blocked you. I still think you are respectful either way. Though if you really do feel that you want to change, I'm with you on that!Rock on!

You stated your opinion and people hate you for it. Go figure. If you forced it on anyone, then that's different, but I don't recall you doing that ever. State what you feel and don't let anyone force you to keep quiet or do anything to make you feel guilty. If you have an unpopular opinion, then good. Who cares if people don't like it or feel offended (and they usually do) for no reason? That's freedom of speech. Just be responsible with your opinions.

Hm, I don't think we've talked much (if at all), but I've seen you state some of your opinions, and you are one of the most polite people I've seen. It never seems like you're trying to shove your opinions down others throats, nor do you act like your opinions are absolute fact and whoever disagrees with you is an idiot. And this is a very rare thing I see anymore, so thank you.

 

Honestly, a lot of people anymore are extremely sensitive and whenever someone has a different opinion than theirs, they freak out and cover their ears and pretend it doesn't exist. In this case its blocking those that disagree. I wouldn't worry so much; you apologizing won't change how they react to different opinions.

But, you shouldn't be blocked over something as petty as an opinion. If this really was the reason, allow me to vent my frustration over this.

 

Blocking someone over a differing opinion is childish unless they're cramming it down your throat. If I were to say:

"Sora is better than Roxas," would you block me? If the answer was yes...

I think I should be apologizing because it's something that happened a few months ago. I did kinda state my opinion on their status updates disrespectfully because I wanted my opinion to be heard.

I'm gonna say what everyone else has said. Your opinion is yours and no one can force theirs upon you. As long as you don't force it on others, it's all good.

 

Unpopular opinion huh? How does it feel to be in the 1%? Pretty awesome, right? Your opinion doesn't need to be agreed with, it's yours man.

Then you really should NOT be apologizing. Everyone will have an opinion that will conflict with others; having opinions in general is something any intelligent human possesses. Apologizing for having an opinion is equivalent to apologizing to someone for having two eyeballs; there really is nothing to be sorry about...

 

And besides, it's been a few months. Usually conflicts arising from opinions should subside by now. If it's political however, then I can understand the grudges, since emotions take priority rather than logic.
