Posted February 3, 20169 yr http://www.siliconera.com/2016/02/02/tales-symphonias-experiences-troubled-pc-launch/ Wow this has to be the second time I've read about a PC port of a game has all these problems. The first game being Batman Arkham: Knight. I'm not a PC gamer but this must really suck to those who play their games on PC.
February 3, 20169 yr Author There's bad ports all the time, nothing new. Really? Can you name a few on PC?
February 3, 20169 yr Really? Can you name a few on PC? Basically any PC port from Koei Tecmo. Toukiden, several of the Warriors games, and Dead or Alive just to name a few.
February 3, 20169 yr Really? Can you name a few on PC? Grand Theft Auto IV, Resident Evil 4 (Ubisoft port), Dead Space, Dark Souls, Bully... There are many more, I can go on and on.
February 3, 20169 yr Is a thing like this really new? This is why I play MMOs, as hardly anything of this scale happens in MMOs. Sure, ESO: Tamriel Unlimited got off to a rocky start, but at least ZeniMax Online is looking to fix those problems.
February 3, 20169 yr i can see it just now when and if final fantasy XV gets released on pc......*sigh*

February 3, 20169 yr A PC port is definitely the only way I would play it. Though I'll probably still wait for it to go on sale.
February 3, 20169 yr Well it's a port of a port of a port, it's basically the gamecube port that was ported to the PS2 that was ported to the PS3, now to the PC, but still not an excuse when Durante fixes the reso issue in mere minutes.
February 3, 20169 yr i can see it just now when and if final fantasy XV gets released on pc......*sigh* If you're implying that FFXV's PC version will have issues on launch, don't count on it being as bad as these. The game was completed and is literally playable from start to finish on PC at this point. Sure, there might be bugs here and there, but being that FFXV is basically a PC game ported to PS4 and Xbox One, you shouldn't be placing too much faith in the conjecture that it will be a shaky game on PC.
February 3, 20169 yr Well at least there's one advantage to console gaming I guess. X3" Console games aren't without their problems as well lolJust Cause 3 was so bad on console that IGN gave it a 5.9 instead of an 8.0 like the PC version. i can see it just now when and if final fantasy XV gets released on pc......*sigh* Square Enix have slowly been getting better at porting FF games. XIII and XIII-2 were quite bad but Lightning Returns was better.

Aside from the FPS, most people won't even notice the other issues. Lightning Returns is near perfect.

These days there tends to be so little difference that really it's just a matter of preference. I can hardly tell the difference with games like The Phantom Pain between PS4 and PC releases.

I can hardly tell the difference with games like The Phantom Pain between PS4 and PC releases. It was quite bad for me anyway. They crashed frequently, you couldn't exit from the main menu, you had limited resolution options, really poor frame rate, etc. But apparently Lightning Returns is better so I have hope that xv will be a good port.

Crashing only affects certain users. You can exit from the main menu. Limited resolution options only affects the people who actually care about that stuff.
February 4, 20169 yr Crashing only affects certain users. You can exit from the main menu. Limited resolution options only affects the people who actually care about that stuff. The exiting is still barbaric. You can't exit while using a controller, you have to quit to the title screen then exit using escape or alt tabbing. Just horrible design choices. The horrible frame rate and stuttering is something everyone experienced so that can not be forgiven like my crashing. Nearly every pc gamer cares about resolution and graphics options...
