Call of Duty was the #1 franchise in North America for the seventh year in a row. Monthly active users for the franchise up 20%. February 13, 20169 yr Author Inspired by it means the game literally gave them the ideal for another game. Influenced means a game has been changed slightly in the fashion of another. That can be taken however you want. "Mass Effect and Fallout allow the players to play with more freedom, and within their story-lines it is quite successful. But we’re more interested in things such as first person shooters like Call of Duty. They give a better sense of tension on the battlefield. We some times draw inspiration from those sorts of games.
