Anime | Manga Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy Versus XIII

Recommended Posts

Remember when we WHEN I was complaining about the cuts they'd made in Versus XIII when they changed to XV and changed the director. I complained ALOT! Especially when it came to the story and characters (RIP Stella, you'll be in my heart), BUT with the announcement of Kingsglaive and the Final Fantasy XV Universe, everything makes sense! In case you hadn't noticed, many scenes from the original Versus XIII trailers have appeared in the Kingsglaive trailer as Final Fantasy Union reported:http://www.finalfantasyunion.com/features/3158/with-kingsglaive-final-fantasy-xv-story-cuts-make-more-sense/.

That's not it thought, if you've seen the first episode of the anime you'll also realize that

Noctis has had a near death experience in his childhood. That was mentionned back in 2009 I think, in the trailer where Noctis and Stella meet in a party.

And I believe there is a lot more from Versus XIII that we'll see return (we've already seen Aranea too, so that's cool). I'm even more excited now that I realize that Versus XIII isn't completely gone. SUPER DUPER HAPPY! Keep up the good work Square!

Btw, in case you didn't know, the story from Versus XIII was actually supposed to expand in multiple games. The reason for the Final Fantasy XV Universe is that they wanted to tell the story in a single game and thus, decided to tell other parts of the story through the movie, the anime and the platinum demo.

Probably, I haven't heard anyone talk about this and they don't even have a source such as famitsu or whatever.

yea it definitely is lol

i used to read from there a lot. i mean look at some of the other article titles:

"Yu Suzuki: I Will Murder Everyone Involved with Shenmue 3 if it Ever Gets Released"

"Valve Considers Hiring More than One Person for Steam Support"

"Metal Gear Solid V Preview: The Mandatory Pachinko Mission Felt Forced at First"

Oh, and if you look closely at the blonde, you can see doesn't really look like Luna, her chin is broader and more angular, maybe this is Luna's mother and they named her Stella? I mean yes, we know Luna is in the movie but maybe this particular character isn't her. Remember, they renamed her because the XV version has a different role and personality. Granted this woman doesn't look exactly like the Stella we knew either, that one looked exactly like Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann from PoTC

She doesn't look like her in-game model but that's Luna. They showed during the uncovered event. She probably looks different because of the mocap actress. For King Regis, the motion capture actor was Jon Campling and they decided to change the in-game model to look like him but for unknown reasons, they didn't bother to change Luna's game model. Stella is really gone...It's a shame, I was really looking forward to see how her love/rival relationship with Noctis would develop.

I really Miss Stella. Luna looks like a Danaerys Targaryen downgrade who pretends to be strong. Stella always looked like she is stronger in personality than the little shy and wanna be cool Noctis. That would have been an exciting romantic rivalry.

I also need to say that the new FFXV lacks the feeling of the old trailers. It isn't the same without Nomura, but it was the right choice to remove him from the project. He seeks creative perfection and to expand the universe into more than one game would've been too much.

I'm kinda sad for Nomura though...the way he talked about Noctis, it looked like he really cared about that character and about his project. As for Luna, I like her. I really believe she has a strong personality and Stella too. What I really would've liked to see is Stella's magic and stuff. From the trailers, it looked like she had the same abilities as Noctis to summon all those weapons and stuff. I can only dream of her going "Armiger"!

I like Luna way more than Stella. She looks like grown up Namine with a bland look.

Honestly we don't know jack shit about Luna or Stella. The only thing we can judge them on is their looks and what they seem to be doing so far which was just standing there in the case of Luna.

Good lord...the only thing I can say to this is...wow!  The fact that all these aspects of the XV Universe mesh together so well while keeping alive what Versus XIII was is incredible!  Yep, that's it!  XV's gonna be the next Final Fantasy VII! :O
