Posted

So, as the title says, what made want to make a YouTube channel for yourself? Thought I'd ask this since just about everybody on here has one :P.

Posting Mario Kart 8 replays.

Because all the Kairi music loops out there sucked a55, so I took matters into my own hands xD

I haven't really started one, but Youtubers Markiplier and Jacksepticeye have really been an inspiration. I just wanna have fun, whether I were to start one or not.

I started mine because what better way to get over social anxiety than to put myself out there!

So I could upload what I created in Windows Live Movie Maker and MikuMikuDance. Oh, and to subscribe to people I like :3.

Well, in my case, I had wanted to start a Youtube channel for a very long time, but I hadn't known how I would go about it, ya know?  I was having a difficult time figuring out what I wanted to do!  I knew what I wanted to discuss about, but I didn't know how to execute it, ya know?  Then it occurred to me!  Why not put on my Spider-Man mask and a hoodie, and call myself the Friendly Neighborhood Webhead?  With those thoughts in my mind, I created my channel, The Friendly Neighborhood Webhead! I started out at around December, and ever since then, I've posted 20 videos!  Since I'm also busy with writing and watching anime, TV shows, playing video games, job-hunting and living life in the real world as well, that's why I haven't been able to post much more videos, ya know?

My videos so far have been varied, from discussing Kingdom Hearts to Star Wars to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you name it!  I'm also planning on discussing different video games and anime series too!  Overall, my channel's still a work in progress! But hey, my channel's gotten over 1100 views, so I call that a pretty good start!  Let's see what the road holds for me down the path of a Youtuber! :D

My first channel (Catmaster0116) that I had was so I could mainly upload rearranged music from Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Pokemon and Zelda. Soon my channel shifted from an emphasis on video game music to covers of JPOP songs (i.e. Utaite)

When I lost that first channel, I made my second main channel which involves video game music, vocal covers and bits of random stuff; Although I'm not as active as I used to be. My first channel 'Catmaster0116' had close to 200 videos and about 1000 subscribers; many of the videos which were of Video game and Kingdom Hearts music related.

This is what i mean by 'rearrangements'

Sorry to advertise bwahaha ~

My first channel (Back in 2013) was mostly just me messing around, and I didn't actually try and do anything of merit until recently.

I mostly started my current channel to upload music videos I've made of movies I like, and to keep up with youtubers I watch often enough to sub to them, and watch movies when I can't sleep.

It's actually currently close to 1,000 views, surprisingly, so I've done something semi-correct, it seems.

I really wanted to express my love for Kingdom Hearts and decided to put my editing skills to the test. xD

I created my channel out of simply showing my interests in editing and reach out to that kind of people who liked the same stuff as I did. YT was a great place for me to make contacts with people from all around the world. It made me feel so much more connected to my real personality rather than the one I experienced in my normal teenage life outside from YT. I was more happy when I was making videos for people to enjoy.

I made a YouTube channel for the purpose of wanting to help myself as I have both depression and an anxiety disorder. The way I commentate makes me feel confident which is a massive boost to my self-esteem. I also made it because I just enjoy making videos, nothing beats the feeling of spending hours recording, editing and uploading a video for someone to then go and even simply like the video or comment. And eventually, I want to help people like myself who suffer from depression and anxiety disorders by becoming a figure in the gaming community, much like Markiplier is, and set up charitable events for multiple charities. But I doubt that will happen because the gaming market is so saturated and hard to find success in.

I honestly forgot my initial reason as to why I made one. Now in days it's just for watching and liking videos.

At one point I was going to post TFU videos, but it died. (firetruck you Jagex.)
