Announcing the new Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ Wiki

KH13.com is pleased to announce its affiliation with khunchainedx.com - the Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ Wiki! This Wiki was previously a one-woman project, and then she reached out to KH13 for help upon receiving the news that the North American version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ was releasing soon. We agreed to help, and have thus launched this new Wiki site.

As of right now, the Wiki is not complete. We are currently looking for people to help us with editing the Wiki, so if that is something that interests you, please visit this forum topic.

The Wiki will be your one-stop-shop for anything related to the game: Medal lists, mission requirements, explanations of game mechanics, Keyblade statistics, upgrade requirements, and much more! We hope you utilize this site as you begin to play through the game this week and beyond. We wish to make this the most informative, up-to-date resource for everything Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ!

I would love to help you with the wiki. I've already played the Japanese version of the game and know everything about it. Plus I have a lot of staff experience here. Hope I can be of help to you guys! :)

If there was some way to be a casual contributor, sure, but at this point with college and everything I'm not quite sure I'm ready to fully commit to a wiki just yet.

What the Wiki currently has:
Missions and Medals are largely already taken care of, since we don't anticipate huge changes from the Japanese version.
The biggest task will be integrating the Japanese information with English info, and updating the old translated text to match the official translations.

What we need, in a loose order of priority:
  • Area specialists, such as:
  • -  Keyblade Statistics and Upgrade Information
  • -  Avatar Boards
  • -  Title Banners
  • -  etc.
  • Graphics (managing screenshots and overall image quality)
  • Tutorial Writer

I'm interested in the positions I've left above, but more casually than anything. I don't intend to take charge and write 500 pages in the course of a few days, for example. Generally I'll just contribute when I can.

I'm also past the point of gaining some information. For example, I've already maxed out my Treasure Trove and cannot give the stats and upgrade materials for that one, as well as earlier levels of the other keyblades (1-4, essentially). Though for things like Avatar Boards, I'm leveling fast and can give a fair bit of detail on them.

I'm gonna need some more elaboration on what Graphics entails though.

Casual is fine! A whole bunch of casual contributors is better than none at all, lol.

Graphics would be ensuring that all of the images on the Wiki are of a high image quality (e.g. no horrible jpeg artifacts on the Power medals, no chat heads on the screen, the target Heartless is in full view, etc.)

Okay, and to clarify further: Chat heads being the Facebook Messenger icons that pop up when you get a new message, if you have the app installed?

Additionally, if such images do exist, it would be our prerogative to address them and replace them?

EDIT: I also propose that someone create a shared Dropbox where we can dump images and other files. My dropbox is full so I unfortunately cannot create one.

Edit 2: Is there any page on the wiki that explains parties? I see none.

This guy knows his stuff, I'd strongly recommend listening to his advice!

Haha while I may not have experience with Wikis I do have experience with group projects, one of which had me working for OGPlanet under a GM. You pick up ideas and procedures quickly.Edit: I've created a shared folder on Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B03__kAYi2OXbnQ1TXJuQUdBZ00&usp=sharing If you want to be added to the editor list, send me a message with your email address and I'll add you to it. Otherwise, these files will be available to use.

Yes, chat heads would be the Facebook Messenger. Any images that would thus be considered low quality could be replaced with a higher quality version.

Pages explaining parties, Unions, etc. would all be very useful to new players. Mostly all that is currently up are medals and missions, with a few other bare-bones pages and some explanations of mechanics.

I've done a little bit of editing already. Hopefully the quality is sufficient. I also urge everyone to contribute to the folder if at all possible. I unfortunately cannot document everything on my own at this point, as I've already gone beyond some of the points where I can learn where to get things. For example: At what level which avatar boards unlocked and what title banner they give.

I can handle the coding of infoboxes and templates. I'm an editor at the KHWiki and I've already created a possible infobox for the Keyblade stats there. http://www.khwiki.com/User%20talk:TheSilentHero/InfoKeyKHUX

Those are fantastic, dude. I'd love to use this as a template but I don't know how to convert it to be usable in our wiki. Also I've pretty much decided I'm set on doing Avatar Boards from now on after completing the current stuff, and eventually I'll be starting the Title Banner page. We'll git 'er done.

EDIT: I've taken all of HikariKH's photos that they have submitted to me and compiled them in a single compressed folder(as well as just uploaded them individually to the shared folder). It covers all 200 English missions, as well as 2 tiers of the Coliseum. If you need it you can retrieve it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B03__kAYi2OXZ0tCenZwd09lMEk/view. The daily special missions and proud quests are already in the shared folder as well. I can make a compressed folder of them as well, if requested.

I would like to assist with the wiki. I used to have plenty of experience with code but it has been a while, about 8 years. So I want to get back on this track and brush up on this long forgotten skill.

P.S. I just uploaded an image for 5* Auron and created a tab on the gallery portion of the medals but it has been deleted. Did I do something incorrect?

http://www.khunchainedx.com/w/index.php?title=Auron&curid=128&action=historyWhen in doubt, check the page history. People are encouraged to write summaries for changes that would be questioned.

Thanks, just thought the NA portions should have actual NA images instead of Japanese but I guess Ill learn the ways of the wiki soon.

Unless you're changing the 6* MAX images, I don't think the images are going to be even remotely different. Otherwise we'd have started on it some time ago. It's simple to understand that that's just his name in JP.

Don't get discouraged. Just go with the flow~

Hullo, I just made an account and I'd like to be able to contribute where I can. For the most part I can take screenshots of the Japanese medals as I come across them but I don't know if I can upload them from mobile. I also don't speak Japanese so I can't translate the info quickly or well but I believe getting pictures onto the wiki where there isn't any would be a good start.
