Those alongside DBZ got me into anime.

I have been following mostly Pokemon and Digimon for a long time, but have kept tabs a bit on DBZ and YGO a bit. Even though I don't want to get into the latter since I haven't seen any of it in years if I don't count the abridged series. I might binge watch it soon as I never got to see the final season of YGO. (Despite of learning what happened after sometime the past years. Oops.) I do look forward to watching the movie if it ever gets dubbed or (when subs are out) tempt me to watch the Japanese version. I even brought Dark Magician Girl movie version 1/7 scale figure since I didn't have any YGO figures till now.

For Pokemon, screw the anime. On to the video games, I haven't played much (XY was weak af out of all the entries), but am slowly getting back up- preparing myself for the end of gen 6 metagame and the beginning of gen 7.

For Digimon, I watch all the seasons but Xros Wars+Boy who Leaped Through Time. I couldn't stand the changes after watch a few episodes and heard the sequel was terrible, save for the cameo episode. Also 02 was much more terrible than I remembered, save for the kaiser arc+BlackWarGreymon. All other seasons > 02 = Xros Wars = Boy who Leaped Through Time. As for video games, last game I played was Dawn/Dusk. I really wish I had a PS4 to play Cyber Sleuth though.

I still play Pokemon and whatever new Digimon games come out; obviously Tri is amazing, but I haven't seen the Pokemon anime in ages. I fell out of Yu-Gi-Oh pretty quickly, although I'll always have fond memories; I'd like to check out the most recent movie for sure.

Yup, these nostalgic TV shows pretty much defined and dominated my childhood.

This Sums up my childhood

Amen.

Pokemon and Digimon, and basically every piece of digital fantasy stories like games and anime have taught me how I should live. And combine that with my (religious) beliefs, I'm starting to understand the wide difference between good behavior and bad behavior.

And the best part is, I was shown so many incredible role models in these games and shows, even if they are all fake or not real. These characters give me something to admire; something to think about when life gets rough. It sounds a bit dumb, but when I think of a character, say, Greninja, and I think hard enough, I close my eyes, and open them slowly, as if I'm focusing. In certain circumstances, still after thinking about Greninja, I'll have more grace and speed than I normally feel like I have, depending on the task or target.

Again, I know it sounds silly, but it's true! That's what happens when I think hard enough. Maybe it's some kind of "Imagination Hormone" that kicks in?

Rock on!

I agree. Yugioh and Pokemon are both great, they literally defined my childhood, I never watched Digimon as a child but it seems pretty nice too. I'll still keep up with the latest news in Pokemon and YGO, but for me, the classic adventures of Ash, Misty Brock in Pokemon and Yugi and the gang in YGO will always be my ultimate favorites. I'm kind of old-fashioned when it comes to that lol  xD
