May 13, 20169 yr Oh wow, I didn't know that Miyamoto was being looked upon like this! I've always heard nothing but praise for the man! Well, it just goes to show you that even people as mighty as him end up leaving gamers sour, ya know?
May 13, 20169 yr I'd say it's a bit more complicated than that, but people, especially masses, are so keen on targetting and accusing the easier target. Comparing this to Lucas's case is a great example, when you consider how people want him to come back now and start to praise the hated prelogy That's sort of a common trend nowadays, especially with how internet works.People don't know what they want, and assume they'd do so much better.Mke Miyamoto leave, enjoy seeing countless "was better when he was there" threads after a while. Truth is, we all make mistakes.Decisions have to be taken. This is how it works. you can't expect to nail it or o please everyone everytime.going as far as to say he's a detriment is pushing it a bit too far. Mainly grieves being based on assumptions, assuming one person has this much weight in such a company. Not to say he never made bad decisions cause he did, but that's the game sadly, and the vid says it too. plus he surely isn't the only one to always have the final word. and I personally would prefer someone still trying to try the next new-stupid or great- thing/way/idea, rather than another generic "triple A" fps, but that's just my two cents. accepting failure and critism is good and positive. eviction/witch hunt?nah, not so much.
May 13, 20169 yr I have been thinking this for some time myself. For everything right Miyamoto does I feel, at least over the last few years, he has done two things wrong. While I am sure he isn't the sole reason why some series have been pretty much left for dead he definitely is a reason. Not mentioned in the video above (but mentioned in the comments) is that Miyamoto refuses to work on a new F-Zero game because he doesn't have the gimmicky controller to attach to it. That's his problem I feel. He's a person who likes to be innovative with his gameplay and that's perfectly fine, but he is doesn't see the bigger picture I feel. He's always looking towards the next gimmick he can try for new gameplay rather than (as the video mentions) giving us something old that we like with a new gloss of paint. I haven't played Star Fox Zero, but from what I've read the control scheme is incredibly hit/miss for people. Which is an issue. Nintendo have talented teams, but it's aggravating that Miyamoto still has as big of a say as he does. I feel he should stick to a team of his own and not bother the creativity of others.

He is the one that made paper mario: sticker star the way it is. It was oringally going to be like the thousand year door, But he didn't like the concept of a story being in a video game, so he striped it of its story. That right there pissed a lot of people off.

I don't understand what his problem is with games having a story. yeah, me neither because for some gamers it's important in the game, sometimes just as important to the the gameplay itself. May 13, 20169 yr Star Fox Zero Paper Mario Color Splash Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess' second remake Three reasons why Miyamoto is dooming Nintendo.
May 13, 20169 yr except it`s not just the gamers, it`s the whole company he is affecting. pretty interesting stuff.
May 14, 20169 yr Star Fox ZeroPaper Mario Color SplashLegend of Zelda Twilight Princess' second remake Three reasons why Miyamoto is dooming Nintendo.Twilight Princess only has one remake and I'm not sure if Miyamoto was the one who wanted TPHD to be made,as far as I know Aonuma is responsable of the Zelda series
May 14, 20169 yr Twilight Princess only has one remake Dude, do your homework before you post. The game had 3 versions, the GameCube original, the Wii remake, and the WiiU HD remake.
May 14, 20169 yr Dude, do your homework before you post. The game had 3 versions, the GameCube original, the Wii remake, and the WiiU HD remake. The Wii version is not a remake,it was a port and releasing Twilight Princess on Wii and Gamecube was a very smart move from Nintendo
May 16, 20169 yr The Wii version is not a remake,it was a port and releasing Twilight Princess on Wii and Gamecube was a very smart move from Nintendo Regardless, they "remade" the game to work on the Wii console, so I still consider it to be a remake.
May 16, 20169 yr Regardless, they "remade" the game to work on the Wii console, so I still consider it to be a remake. But making the Wii version didn't doom Nintendo
May 16, 20169 yr But making the Wii version didn't doom Nintendo Making the WiiU version is foretelling Nintendo's doom. 1 remake is ok, but 2 is not good.
May 17, 20169 yr Making the WiiU version is foretelling Nintendo's doom. 1 remake is ok, but 2 is not good. I'd hardly call mirroring the Gamecube version a remake. I'm pretty sure the Wii version came out before the Gamecube one in parts of the world. If a PS4 version of a game has 1080p resolution and an X1 version doesn't, does that mean the PS4 version is a remastered version of the X1 version? No. Twilight Princess on Wii is not a remake of the Gamecube version. Twilight Princess HD is barely a remake either even if it now supports the gamepad, amiibos and HD.
I wouldn't say he's a detriment, but it's just that he does what he wants to do even when he hears the fan's complaints and goes and does his own thing like the fans have been ignored.
