Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has finally been announced ladies and gentlemen!

Each race possibly having their own beginners' world does sound interesting.  I just wonder what kind of hub the Majins would have.

There's a new scan out for the game with several new details in place:

 

 

- Android 16, Imperfect Cell, and Time Breaker Bardock are confirmed for the game.

- More shots of Future Gohan's involvement in the story.

- A possible confirmation that Mr. Satan will be a Master or at least give out a side quest.

- Going off the last post, the "hub" base for Majin race seems to be Mr. Buu's house.

Well, yeah. But the date above specifically is just for Japan. The game is still coming for NA and EU in October, also meaning that we actually get something earlier than Japan for once.

ShonenGameZ.com has translated the recent V-Jump scan for Xenoverse 2 that confirmed Time Breaker Bardock.

 

The scan reminds us of the new story feature of being able to make choices involving changing history, and it also confirms that each CaC race will in fact have race specific missions. The scan shows that Saiyans default to Bulma, the Humans default to Mr. Satan, and the Majins default to Majin Buu. Though not shown, we can assume that based on past material, Namekians default to Nail on Planet Namek and the Freeza race most likely defaults to Freeza.

It's so rare and kind of weird for Japan to get a game ​after​ everywhere/everyone else.  I'm not complaining over it, just kind of in awe.

 

Also, choosing your own basic ki blasts this time is pretty cool.

A new trailer for the game just launched, confirming that Namekian CACs will be able to transform into Giant Namekians and Humans will be able to enter a special mode where they fly on Kinto'un and use the Nyoi-bo.

 

All of this new race-specific news is making me wonder which one I should go with... Leaning towards Frieza and human at the moment, I want something different from my Saiyan in the first game.

I'm disappointed that the Humans don't have a proper transformation. They could have used Master Roshi's Max Power mode.

Besides, the Kinto'un/Nyoi-bo combo is unique and Potential Unlock is still a thing that can be carried over from last game, which is essentially is what Max Power mode is anyway, and seriously, its a form that should only belong to Roshi, stop trying to jack his swagger, so there's really nothing to complain about.

They wouldn't have to be huge, just go up like, one slider increment. Potential Unlock can be used on any race though. And I could argue that Nimbus should only belong to Goku. Besides, when has Roshi ever been playable? What's the harm in giving his skill to humans? Besides, wheren't you the one that was oh so sure that Humans would get a transformation? And did I not say that their "somethign special" might not be one?

Fact is, this still leaves humans as the only race that doesn't have a proper transformation.

Remember, this is a technique from early early early DragonBall, it was kinda meant to be ridiculous. But even on CaC you can have thicker girls. And it's not like they havn't modified these things before. Saiyans get significantly more muscular with each Super Saiyan stage until Super Sayan God in which they get leaner, yet in-game they stay the same size. Really, if you're going into this expecting Humans, the most _boring_ race out of the bunch to have something akin to Super Saiyan or Golden Form, you're kinda digging yourself into a hole from the start. I say take what you can get and maybe show some appreciation for the creativity put into it.

Yes, but any race can weild the Power Pole. If theres a Nimbus hoverboard, than any race woudl likely be able to use that as well, making the form easy to copy for any race.

I don't see any of those other putz races being able to do that. Heck, even a Giant Namekian better watch out, because even if their body expands, the Nyoi-bo knows how to expand too, so they'd best cover their asses both figuratively and literally because the best offense would be taking that sucker and stickin' it straight-you know, I'm taking this into a weird direction, I should just stop now.

Personally, I am glad that we got the power pole and the nimbus for the humans, I prefer it much more than having Max Power or something like that.

So Namekians will have Giant forms after all.  I can't help but think how awkward it will be to use that.

 

So far I'm liking what the humans will get.
