So when I was about eight years old, The Great Recession was just beginning and my family was imminently effected. Our house got foreclosed, and we had to move away.....far...far....away.
We did not want to have to move, but if we didn't...well we would have nowhere to live.
I loved where I used to live. It was right beside the coast, I had the best ballet teacher in the world, and I had to leave all that behind.
I am now 17...and this year has been once again, hell for my family. My dad almost lost his job....but he found one before they could fire him.
My dad found a job ONE HOUR away from where I used to live. ONE HOUR away from the beach.
In the last weeks of May, my dad, me, and my sisters went down to this new place, and we found a home...and rented it on the spot.
My dad loves the new place he is going to work, I can't wait to graduate next year from that high school, and there is a ballet teacher there willing to give me and my sisters private lessons.
I am moving back to the coast. I will be attending a college (that is one of three colleges in my state that offers my interest), that I am super happy about, and we will be moving June 30th.
My little sisters aren't so happy because they grew up here, but I am thrilled.
Of course there are things that I will mess, such as some friends and teachers...
But of course there are A LOT of things I will NOT miss, such as going to school with someone who has pulled a knife on me, being constantly disrespected because of my family, etc, etc.
I just wanted to leave a little update here and wish me luck moving down there!! It is a 6 hour drive from where I currently live and I love my new house and community!
