I don't care if the story is complicated, it's better now than it was then and I wouldn't change it for the world. (I still think Re:coded was good though.)

I disagree and who was complaining about the older games being simple? Since when was Kingdom Hearts 2 complicated? This is a really bad generalisation.

 

The story was better with the first 3 games because it made sense. Now it's very messy. Complexity is only good if the story makes sense, which it doesn't.

After watching a crap ton of KH videos and LPs this actually sums up some of the fan base. Heck, a while ago someone on Youtube said that that KH2 was kind of complicated. ether way my options still stands.

Ah... i can't wait for the day when KH III releases and the people who only know KH I and II because they don't care about the "spin-offs" are like "Who is this. What are Dream Eaters? Who is this old man suddenly? What Keyblade War?"Ahhhh the fanbase

Same here, fans get a little too nitpicky sometimes.

It's simplistic concepts spread over complex story structure, really.

 

Still, I agree. Not everything needs to be like KH1 where the messages are laid out for everybody with all the grace of an after-school special. I appreciate that KH is a series that actually makes me think instead of just spoon feeding me the answers.

 

And no, being made to think isn't an indication of a bad story either. I don't care how many times you get confused, you're the minority, not the majority. Thinking critically instead of just ranting would help too.

Kingdom Hearts games having a more complex story is a good thing,its confusing of course but its still great.Also I wouldn't say Recoded suck because the story was simple,a lot of movies or games have simple stories but can still be enjoyable.
