There are Technos, those who wish to create technology. Anthros, those who want to connect with Earth itself. The Medivals, those who focus more on the Dark Ages. And The Citys, which treat each culture equally and experiment by combining them in unique ways. But soon...A great evil is about to arise...The same evil that came in the past...And I assume you all want to hear the tale that will be told...The story of how an unlikely team...Allies...Friends...Came together and saved the world while facing hardships, discoveries, and regrets...This is the story...The Legend...The myth of how...In the City of Aquila...Where classmates joined together to explore the world never tamed....

A building that was the size of a Skyscraper stood alongside buildings of unthinkable height. People came and went on their normal lives, playing on their phones, trying to get to work on time, and of course, kids playing around on the sidewalk.

With everything that was happening outside, it was a very important day for some at the Aquilia Combat School. (The building that was as tall as a skyscraper)

In one room, many students, roughly 30-35 students, talked and roamed around Room 408, a class that specializes in offensive and defensive skills. One student wore a Red Mage outfit with a black feather instead of the traditional white feather. Her body was laid back in her desk, with her feet crossed and resting on top of her desk. Her hands were behind her head and her hat covered her eyes. Sure, the class was bit loud, but it didn't bother her. She was used to it.

"Today's the big day!" A female student said.

"I'm a bit nervous...I-I don't know if I'll do well..." A male student said.

"Hey, cheer up! We're all doing this together you know. We'll be by your side and help you out." A male student said with a higher-pitched voice.

"Hah! Don't make me laugh." Another female student suddenly said. She looked to be about 17, given her appearance and height. Her hair was long and blonde and her clothes were more on a rebel styled attire. A smirk was on her face as she overheard the recent conversation. She leaned on the side of the wall with her arms crossed and her eyes closed. "You low-lives won't even remember how to punch once you get there. Unlike me, you don't stand a chance." She said with a very confident, yet rude tone.

"Says the garbage bagged girl." The Red Mage said. The classroom giggled a bit at her comment. The Rebel clothed girl growled at the Red Mage and opened her mean eyes. "Shut it, Solisa. Once I'm through with you, you'll be "Sol-Loser"." The Rebel responded.

"Wow...." The Red Mage replied. "That pun was as outdated as your clothing. Not-To-Be-Sold." The class bursts into laughter. The Red Mage wasn't afraid of this cocky-bully. "Why you little...!" The Rebel then walked to the Red Mage's desk and slammed her hands on the Red Mage's desk. "Listen, you peeping pipsqueak. I'm trying not to get in trouble today. So shut up or else I'll pound you before the exam even starts! Got it!?"

"....That's it? You'll pound me? Sheesh, for trying to be a good student I'm glad you ain't an angel Sara."

"SHUT UP!!" Sara yelled out with rage. "Don't make me come back, you Mage maggot." With that, she took a deep breath and walked back to her spot, leaning against the wall and crossed her arms.

Aaron didn't like this ice. In fact he loathed it. Unaware of a blank figure that passed, Aaron stepped ahead, but was called to by Elsa.

"Now what was it about making a tent here? I wanna see how a Tent can stay on ice." she said, her eyes a sweet, innocent curiosity, even though she was the eldest of the group.

He pondered for a moment. "Well, now that you mention it...." Aaron was absolutely sure that the tent could stay on the ice – it was a Technos invention after all. But after scouring the area for anything that could sustain a fire, he had second thoughts about sleeping in the freezing cold without one.

"Sorry!" He replied "maybe next time we'll get some rest!" This hallway of ice wasn't appealing at all.

Kelon looked down the staircase, and carefully started walking down it. He could tell that it was dark, with the torches as the only source of light, although it was still dark. He looked on sternly, carefully walking down the stairs, making sure to not fall. He wanted to look ahead to see if there was anything strange up ahead, but he didn't want to blow his cover, so he stuck with the group. He had to do this, no matter what, as this was important.

"Aw, it's okay. It would've been pretty cool to see a tent on ice." Elsa said, smiling softly. But her thoughts started to wander again to Gaster, which gave her another shiver down her spine. I really hope he doesn't interfere with the exam... I don't want to fail my friends..., she thought, looking at everyone who was having fun.

Team 2

As the team walked down the steps, Sara on the other hand felt a bit uneasy on the way down. She was feeling little chills down her back and that wasn't just because the others were behind her. Something just doesn't feel right...

After a few minutes, they seemed to have reached the bottom of the staircase on firm flat ground. It still seemed dark despite the torches that were lit on the walls to light the way down the hallway. But before they could walk any further...

"...I know you're watching us." Sara said, looking up. "Come on out. Don't be shy."

Team 1

Solisa went on, skating ahead of the others now that she could skate across the ice. Her excitement was taking over. She couldn't wait to bash some beasts. Big or small, as long as they were tough, she was in! "Heh heh heh! Hurry up ya'll!" Solisa yelled out from behind. She kept skating and skating until she stopped at a dead end. "Huh? Wh-What's all this for?" She questioned. A giant Golem-like ice statue stood in front of the wall. "Woah! That thing's gigantic!" She commented.

Team 2

The answer to Sara's demand was a fluttering of wings, followed by the sound of falling...which then ended with Sara being flattened by a girl with golden wings, dressed in shorts and a black shirt with embroidery on it. She groaned lightly, wings flapping a bit.

"Ow...who put that random gust there..." She looked down. "Sorry." She climbed off and dusted herself off. "Hi!"

Elsa turned her head and skated over to see the gigantic ice statue. Her jaw immediately dropped. "W-Whoa... That's really huge... How are we gonna move it?" She asked the mage, looking at her intently to find an answer.

Dashing to keep up with the girls, Aaron stared in awe at the gargantuan golem statue. What was it? Was it some sort of key to ending this stage of the exam?

"Velox," Aaron said.

The snake-like whisper chilled the air around Aaron, his eyes flashing green, as he screeched to a halt. With a cringe in his face, Aaron squat low, then skyrocketed onto the air, leaping toward the golem....

....but when he realized where he'd ended up....

Aaron hung from the golem's hand, his own clutching the right pinky of the statue. And the way down was so far.

"I'm alright!" He shouted with a glass smile to the group, although he was so high up. He tried hoisting himself up, icicles falling from the frozen figure.

C'mon you idiot, think! Aaron searched high and low for a defrosted part of the statue to latch onto. He needed to be higher than this, somehow there had to be something up behind him... Or was it....?!

"A-Aaron, hold on! I'm coming up there, too!" Elsa said, summoning a Gaster Blaster to pick her up. "Take me up, friend." She said to the creature, to which it gladly agreed and, letting Elsa sit on its face, hoisted her up onto the hand of the statue. She slid off the creature and smiled at it, saying, "Thanks. Now please help my friend up."

The Gaster Blaster nodded and picking up Aaron by his hoodie, put him down gently onto the hand. "Good Gaster Blaster. Just for that, here's two treats." She said, pulling out two dog treats and feeding them to the creature. It accepted them happily and disappeared soon afterwards. Elsa turned to face Aaron and said, "Well, now what should we do?"

"Ha ha, thanks Elsa!" he held out his hand for a fistbump to her, while luckily the Gaster didn't fling his hood off.

How the hell did it even stay on all this time anyway?

"Well, now what should we do?" Elsa asked, polite and proper.

Aaron still wanted to scale the golem, but found himself at a loss for words to say so. He looked down towards the rest of his comrades.
"I'm not sure..." He replied. He didn't even think about how the rest of the group felt. He sat, rested on the slippery, expansive hand of the statue, looking at Elsa.

She was a beautiful woman, and even as the eldest, she definitely looked just as young as the others. Aaron didn't think she was much older than them anyway, but was curious to know her story. With again, no way to articulate it, he found himself accidentally staring at her, and looked away swiftly.

Even though he hated the expanse of ice, he was sure the girls would love the view. He saw the tracks of ice that they'd skated down up until here, like scribbled lines along a sheet of paper. The wind of the dungeon as it spiraled to the deep epicenter of the cave cooed in the ear of Aaron, but in a shivery, shrill tone rather than that of the airship he rode on before.

Scratching the back of his head, with only Elsa's company, Aaron sat.

Elsa saw that Aaron was staring at her intently, then he had quickly looked away as she looked. What's up with him?, she thought. Though she couldn't but think that he wanted to know her story. She wasn't sure if she wanted to, yet, but she knew it had to come out eventually.

Millicent was a little startled by the sudden appearance of a new girl, although she seemed to be friendly. The concern she felt quickly changed to just confusion. Millicent walked over to Sara, offering a hand to help her get back on her feet. As she did so, Millicent studied the new arrival to the group. "Is she a part of the test...?" The healer wondered aloud. It was strange to run into someone down in this dungeon that was only intended for the test. She kept her guard up, though she doubted that this would result in a battle.

Solisa walked over to the statue and looked up at it. She placed her hand on it and crossed her legs, leaning against it. "Don't cha the feelin' that something's suppose to happen right now?" She asked out loud.

Suddenly, almost on cue, a sudden rumble could be felt from the room. Solisa quickly stepped back from the giant statue. The Ice Statue's leg rose up and stepped down on the icy floor, making a loud booming collision. It moved its other foot the same way stepping forward. The Black Mage's mouth made a smirk at the sight she was seeing. "Alright! Now this is what I'm talking about!" The Ice Golem's shadow covered the team's bodies. "An Ice Golem! Sweet!"

Team 2

"Ow...." Sara groaned while getting back up. Thanks to Millicent, she was able to get back on her feet and dusted herself off. "Thanks..." Her eyes looked at  this sudden newcomer. One thing that caught her attention was that she had wings. And she looked human. This was new. She has wings...But judging from her landing, she's not a master a flying... Sara then smiled and waved at her. "Hello there. My name's L-" She shook her head for a moment. "I mean, Sara. Sorry for the stutter there. I didn't expect to be a landing platform." She chuckled. "It's fine though. I've been through worst. What's your name?"

Team 2

Zion dusted herself off. Actually she mastered flying, she was just extremely clumsy when not thinking. She smiled. "Zion de Wynter, at your service." She bowed, mostly because you can't really curtsy in shorts. "Nice to meet you all!" She smiled brightly, eyeing Millicent for a moment, before turning back to Sara. "Most people don't. I think my body is attracted to cute girls." She winked playfully, before leaping backwards. Her wings flared, causing a slow descent into the center of the room. "So, whacha all here for?"

Elsa felt the rumble and looked to see that the ice statue was moving. "Oh shoot! This thing is starting to move!" She summoned a Gaster Blaster and gave it the command to take both her and Aaron down to the ground. It nodded and grabbed both of their shirts with its teeth, carrying both of them down.

The Ice Golem was swift, for such a huge heavy thing.

Elsa's Gaster Blaster, moving quickly, snatched Aaron from the Gaster Blaster. Aaron tried to wriggle out, but to no avail, as the monster's grip was extremely powerful. He yelled "VELOX!"  with what little breath he could muster, and his eyes glowed again, trying to free himself to no avail. With amazing pressure, the golem crushed Aaron, then slammed him with a force like nothing else he'd ever felt before into the ground.

Aaron writhed in pain, scabs of blood around his arms and face, and coughing up some as well. The pain felt sickening and the impact so crushing he couldn't breathe or think - he just yelled at the pain of his tensing muscles.

Somebody.... help!

Elsa turned to face the creature and glared at it, feeling angered that it had attacked Aaron. "LEAVE MY FRIEND ALONE, MONSTER!" She yelled, summoning a hoard of Gaster Blasters to shoot lasers at the ice statue.

Grace Followed Solisa and saw the statue. "Wow.... that's so huge." She quickly moves away from the statue. She was surprised as the Ice Golem started moving. "It's an Ice Golem. Be prepared, ok?" Said to the others while gets her spear ready. Grace sees Aaron got hurt from the Ice Golem and gasped. "Aaron, hold on!" She rushed towards him and gets him out of harm's way.

The Ice Golem made a few steps back due to the impacts on the lasers from Elsa's Gaster Blasters. When Solisa saw Aaron get hurt, she was mixed with excitement and anger. She snapped her fingers igniting fire on her hand. She smirked at the Ice Golem. "Time to heat things up on this Icy fool!" She said outloud. The Black Mage skated forward towards the giant ice statue. Its giant fist rose up and came down on booming impact directed at Solisa! Solisa jumped ever so earlier as the fist hit the ground and landed on the Golem's arm. She skated up towards its face with the feeling of a thrill surging through her body. The Skating Mage then jumped off the Ice Golem's arm with her hand still on fire and then Fire-Punched its "nose" on its face. The steam from the fire emitted from where Solisa punched it. "Hah! Take that!" Solisa exclaimed. But she quickly came to realization...

She was very high up.

...Crap. She thought. The Black Mage began to fall down. Using her other hand, her wooden Staff appeared. She grabbed it and pointed it towards the ground.
"AERO!" She yelled. Gusts of wind blew out of her staff and towards the ground. With the wind hitting the ground, it allowed Solisa to float down in order to prevent a major impact landing. She couldn't help but laugh at her attack. "Woo-Hoo! That felt good!" She exclaimed. The confident Black Mage turned around to face the Ice Golem with a smirk. "Is that all you got? We can smash you up all day, Ice Cube!"

Team 2

D-Did she say she was attracted to cute girls...? Or...Did she just call me cute...?  Sara made a small blush, but shook her head to get the thought and blush out of her mind. "O-Okay...Um, anyway, I'm guessing you're part of the exam. People don't just pop up here. So what's your role?" She asked.

Team 2

Zion summoned her two Blazefire Sabers, smiling.

"Combat Test. Defend yourselves." She threw herself at the group, swords flashing.

Elsa smiled at Solisa's attacks on the ice Golem. Then she entered into her EX Mode, which was pretty cool, and soon enough, her Gaster Blasters transformed into actual skeletal creatures. "Alright, my friends, fire!" She shouted, to which the creatures complied by shooting their very strong lasers at the statue, hoping that at least could melt the statue a little.

The pain surged through Aaron's nerves. With Grace's help, he could nearly stand, almost collapsing on her, but he was just strong enough to struggle into "The Pouch" again. Aaron struggled to dig out a small capsule, labeled "Potion". Pressing a button on the glass cylindrical figure, the Potion's glass shattered into pieces, which dissolved as quickly as it appeared, and healing medicine from the capsule surrounded and patched up Aaron's body.

Regaining the strength to walk on his own, Aaron leaned off from Grace. "Thanks, Grace, I couldn't have done it without you!" He smiled and winked at her, a smaller "thanks a lot" barely escaping as a whisper from the boy. As the symbol appeared on his hand and eyes flashed green again, Aaron had enough strength to call upon his team.

He stood, watching the ice Titan's cold stare and grit his teeth. This thing.... It wasn't gonna be easy.

"Laz!!" Aaron hurled her armor towards her, then conjured the Blazefire Saber.

It didn't take long before the team reached a dead end, and at the end was a giant ice statue.  Wow, that looks exactly like an ice golem, Laz thought as she and the others examined the statue.  Aaron suddenly got right up next to the thing and jumped straight up like a dragoon and got stuck on one of its claws, but Elsa went to go help him.  As those two were getting down, the Anthros thought, But-

"Don't cha the feelin' that something's suppose to happen right now?" Solisa asked, finishing what Laz was thinking out loud.  Lo and behold, the statue started to move, revealing that it was indeed an ice golem.  And it looked pissed that they woke it up.

Again, both the black mage and the thief had the same feeling of exhilaration of fighting the ice giant.  But as they were about to rush in, the bluenette saw a group of ice imps coming from behind.  Seeing that the others didn't notice the creatures, she pretended to be anxious and said, "Uh... I'll be right back."  But Laz was super giddy at sneaking off and being able to take them out.  These scenarios always excited her.  I'll take care of these shmucks on my own!

The three imps were chatting to themselves in their own language as they rounded the corner and saw the innocent looking Anthros girl.  “O-oh excuse me sirs, b-but I think I-I’m lost,” Laz stammered out shyly, her ears down and tail between her legs as she poked her fingers together timidly, “C-can you guys h-help me out, p-please?”  The trio looked at each other for a moment before they chuckled cruelly and licked their lips and jagged teeth with their disgustingly long tongues in hunger.  They continued to laugh as they circled her and prodded her sides and jeered at her in their language, while she continued to play dumb.

Dumbasses; maybe if they’d get those stupid fur hats outta their faces, they’d see some of the armor I’m wearing, Laz thought and chuckled to herself, Good thing I gave most of my gear to Aaron though, so I really do look harmless.  Once they were done checking, one of the imps licked its lips again and went in to touch her chest, and that was when she decided to strike.  “Thunder.” Laz smirked as the bolt hit the perverted imp right in the middle of its skull, knocking it down on the ground dead.

The other two stood still, dumbstruck at seeing their friend die, which gave Laz plenty of time to take one of their daggers from their belts and slit one of their throats.  Seeing its second companion slain snapped the last imp from its shock, and it snarled and brandished its own dagger.  It charged straight at her, but the bluenette easily dodged the attack and stabbed it in the back of its neck, killing it instantly.  How boring; they weren’t a threat at all, she scoffed, and these things apparently give travelers a hard time and steal things.  How pathetic.

“Laz!” Aaron shouted at her and threw some of her gear to her.  “Huh?” Laz mumbled as she caught the gear, and was surprised at how far he could throw.  But then she heard a loud roar, and just barely dodged a sword that was thrown at her.  “What the?” she felt the ground shake a little and saw another ice imp starting to stand up from its landing, and that it was three times the size of the other ones (but still smaller than the golem).  “The chieftain…” Nice, looks like there’s finally a challenge!

The Ice Golem's body started to emit steam from the heat of the lazers. It was beginning to shrink smaller and smaller in size. "Hey, it's gettin' smaller! Keep it up Elsa! Don't you stop now!" Solisa said to the Summoner.

"Got it!" Elsa said, looking at her Gaster Blasters friends once more and shouted, "Keep firing at the statue!" The creatures growled in response and kept shooting their lasers. Elsa smiled as the ice statue got smaller and smaller. Not so tough now, eh?, she thought, her smile turning into a little smirk.

Aaron charged towards the Ice Golem, faster and faster and leaping high upon its head. Hurling his sword into the Giant's head as he fell, Aaron summoned Masamune, the blade reforming from his bracelet and dived ferociously towards it.
