There are Technos, those who wish to create technology. Anthros, those who want to connect with Earth itself. The Medivals, those who focus more on the Dark Ages. And The Citys, which treat each culture equally and experiment by combining them in unique ways. But soon...A great evil is about to arise...The same evil that came in the past...And I assume you all want to hear the tale that will be told...The story of how an unlikely team...Allies...Friends...Came together and saved the world while facing hardships, discoveries, and regrets...This is the story...The Legend...The myth of how...In the City of Aquila...Where classmates joined together to explore the world never tamed....

A building that was the size of a Skyscraper stood alongside buildings of unthinkable height. People came and went on their normal lives, playing on their phones, trying to get to work on time, and of course, kids playing around on the sidewalk.

With everything that was happening outside, it was a very important day for some at the Aquilia Combat School. (The building that was as tall as a skyscraper)

In one room, many students, roughly 30-35 students, talked and roamed around Room 408, a class that specializes in offensive and defensive skills. One student wore a Red Mage outfit with a black feather instead of the traditional white feather. Her body was laid back in her desk, with her feet crossed and resting on top of her desk. Her hands were behind her head and her hat covered her eyes. Sure, the class was bit loud, but it didn't bother her. She was used to it.

"Today's the big day!" A female student said.

"I'm a bit nervous...I-I don't know if I'll do well..." A male student said.

"Hey, cheer up! We're all doing this together you know. We'll be by your side and help you out." A male student said with a higher-pitched voice.

"Hah! Don't make me laugh." Another female student suddenly said. She looked to be about 17, given her appearance and height. Her hair was long and blonde and her clothes were more on a rebel styled attire. A smirk was on her face as she overheard the recent conversation. She leaned on the side of the wall with her arms crossed and her eyes closed. "You low-lives won't even remember how to punch once you get there. Unlike me, you don't stand a chance." She said with a very confident, yet rude tone.

"Says the garbage bagged girl." The Red Mage said. The classroom giggled a bit at her comment. The Rebel clothed girl growled at the Red Mage and opened her mean eyes. "Shut it, Solisa. Once I'm through with you, you'll be "Sol-Loser"." The Rebel responded.

"Wow...." The Red Mage replied. "That pun was as outdated as your clothing. Not-To-Be-Sold." The class bursts into laughter. The Red Mage wasn't afraid of this cocky-bully. "Why you little...!" The Rebel then walked to the Red Mage's desk and slammed her hands on the Red Mage's desk. "Listen, you peeping pipsqueak. I'm trying not to get in trouble today. So shut up or else I'll pound you before the exam even starts! Got it!?"

"....That's it? You'll pound me? Sheesh, for trying to be a good student I'm glad you ain't an angel Sara."

"SHUT UP!!" Sara yelled out with rage. "Don't make me come back, you Mage maggot." With that, she took a deep breath and walked back to her spot, leaning against the wall and crossed her arms.

I knew I should have kept my guard up! The white mage thought to herself as she raised her staff. It began to glow blue. "Protect!" She cried, and her teammates became enveloped in what seemed to be a glowing blue barrier. The barriers faded, though the glow was still there, just faint. "That should help us be able to withstand a little more damage..." She spoke aloud. She might not be very impressive in terms of combat skills, but she could still help out with her magic.

Team 1

Soon the Ice Golem became smaller and smaller. down the size of the rest of the group. Solisa span her staff and pointed it at the Golem. "Time to finish the job. FIRE, Let's go!" Orange flames exploded out of the staff, heading straight at the Ice Golem's direction. Once a explosive collision was made, the Ice Golem was no more than pieces of ice. "Hah! That was too easy. There had to be a bigger challenge than that." She commented. Then a sudden rumbling could be felt all around the room. It wasn't just any rumbling...It was like an earthquake. Cracks began to form on the ice the Team had started at when they came into the room.

Team 2

Of course...Should've expected that. Sara thought in her head once Zion headed towards them. Maybe if I fought her a bit, I could learn her battle tactics. Sara then leaped towards Zion tightening her fist for an uppercut, but landed one foot in front of her opponent and feinted, quickly dashing to the right side of Zion to perform a kick to the back.

"Aaaggghhhh!"

Aaron dived right into the fire pit that Aaron had blasted the ice golem into. Recalling his weapons, he seemed to fly away from the burning flame, which dissipated almost as soon as it appeared.

"HEY, WATCH IT!!!" Aaron remarked, wincing at the injury from earlier and patting the flame on his butt. "Psssh, pants on fire" he grumbled. But his voice was drowned out by the earth shaking, starting from the path they'd been on.

"No way..." Aaron saw the ground rumbling and cracking. Turning to the team, he bellowed "Run!"

He concerned himself with Laz, at an altercation with an Ice Goblin... Of some sort? Maybe a leader? He clenched his teeth, then decided to run towards her and the ugly monster, reaching out.

Sara might have landed the blow, but with Milii sending up her protect spell, Zion zoomed straight up and did a loop-de-loop, landing. Her Blazefire Sabers turning to gun mode, she opened fire, keeping her distance. With Sara clearly knowing martial arts (the uppercut feint would have gotten her...once) having to divert from protect or flatten herself was a saving grace. She was trying to gauge the rest of them, but only two had acted - something that made Zion wonder what they were waiting for. Having attacked the moment she diverted from the shield would have been the perfect moment...so why was it wasted?

Anton carefully and calmly walked down the stairs towards the bottom of the staircase.

When the group reached the bottom of the staircase, Anton was surprised when a girl with golden wings suddenly fall and landed on Sara.

After introducing herself to the group, the girl who is named Zion attacked the group as a part of the test. So she is a tester here...that explains why she is here. I wonder about her abilities though...it is better that I will not do anything reckless now...

At first, Anton observed the battle, he didn't attack her in fear of doing something when knowing nothing about Zion's combat abilities. The lack of knowledge could lead to a reckless action. which would make the situation for the group worse.

So she can fight at both ranges by somehow changing her sword into a gun. Regardless, this should still work. She does have wings, after all...

"Aero!" Anton yelled, and a small gust of wind appeared towards Zion. He hoped that the spell would not only damage her, but give her trouble at staying stable because of her wings.

Elsa felt proud that the Ice Golem was down to their size and almost let out a chuckle until she felt the ground shake. What the..., she thought before she turned her head to see that the ground started to crack.

Grace chuckled nervously when Aaron thanking her and winks at her. "You're welcome..." she blushed a little, then snapped out of it and helped her team out. "Fire!" She yelled as she she blasted the Ice Golem's head. After they defeated the Ice Golem, Grace felt ground shakes and the ground started to crack. "Uh oh.... this is not good...." She whispered herself.

Team 1

Solisa turned around and her eyes widened by what she saw. The little ice rink they started at where Laz found the skates began to crumble. Pieces of ice were falling down into a dark abyss never to be seen again...

"We gotta move! NOW!" The Black Mage yelled out so everyone could hear. She quickly skated across the ice towards the ice and pointed her staff forward. "FIRE!" The flames hit the wall and melted the surface, revealing a large hole for the entire group to go in. "Come on!"

Team 2

Zion grinned. She flared her wings a's they began to glow. Aero hit with I'll force, blowing her back as she strained each and every feather, riding the gust. Ignoring what little damage it did, she used the attack to gain more distance as she unleashed Albion Strike - and rained a barrage of Light Bolts on the studrnts, before bending her legs behind her and pressing into the wall. She kicked off and gained height, firing her gunblades again. She was trying to wear down Millicent, the girl who threw up Protect. With her worn down from protecting her friends, she'd then just have to down the boy who used Aero with CQC, before turning to her more dangerous foe - Sara. The brawler would prove more troublesome - getting in close was both the best and worst approaches. But who dares, wins after all.

Darn it...She's quicker than I thought. Sara took a deep breath, then dashed away with fast speed. It was almost a blur when she suddenly appeared above Zion. "HEEL QUAKE!!" Sara brought the heel of her foot down towards Zion's back.

Team 2

Zion tucked her wings in as she executed a perfect aerilon roll, grabbing Sara's ankle and throwing her downwards as she leveled, throwing her wings out and banking hard, before beginning to run on the walls every few feet, still peppering the students with gunfire.

Really. Shouting your attacks?

Kelon was watching the battle with intent with a stern look on his face, folding his arms. He didn't know what to think of Zion, as he never saw her until now, only heard of her through rumors. This didn't matter to him, though, as he was curious as to where this battle would lead to. He continued to watch in silence, keeping his eye on the entire thing. "It would seems that she had appeared, although I didn't expect her of all people to be here..." Thought Kelon, mentally thinking to himself in his mind.

Laz ignored the cracking ice as she charged at the chieftain.  Taking out a dagger from her recovered gear, she slashed at the giant imp's knees, hoping to stagger it, but it just kicked her aside.  Ooh, a tough guy, huh?  Landing on her feet, the thief ignored the pain of the kick and snapped her fingers.  A bolt of lightning hit the chieftain in its shoulder, but it just shrugged off the attack and stomped towards the Anthros.

Standing over Laz, it raised its giant sword, intending to swing it down and slice her in half, when someone grabbed her and pulled her to safety.  Looking up, she saw that it was Aaron who saved her.  Wow, I had no idea that he was so fast, the bluenette thought in admiration, her cheeks glowing pink.  Luckily for her, the blush disappeared before he could see it.

Elsa nodded at what the Black Mage said and skated toward the hole in the Solisa had made, pushing past everyone in a panic.

Aaron smirked competitively towards the goblin. He held on to Laz, pulling her aside while he faced the chieftain. "On your feet!" he said to Laz, the crackling ice rushing towards them in a blur, but the cheiftain seemed unaware, or unearthed by the the colliding shallow. He rose his sword in the air again, ready to deal a blow, and Aaron in a blinding moment summoned and flung Masamune towards the goblin, as the metallic clang of the weighted swords deafeningly echoed across the cave.

The stunned goblin was pulled back by the force of the sword, giving a window of opportunity for Laz and Aaron to escape. Recalling his weapon, Aaron quickly scooped Laz up, and ran, the ice cracking beneath their feet.

"You ready? Don't let go!" Aaron shouted to her over the crumbling cave, skirting away from the falling stalactites, and dashing desperately towards Solisa's voice. He caught a glimpse of Grace, shouting her name.

Grace Followed the team as she skates fasting. She used fire at one of the goblins that is in her way. She then heard Aaron's voice, calling out her name. "Hold on! I'm coming!" She rushed towards him as a big chunk of ice hits the ground behind her. Luckily, it missed her.

Elsa summoned one Gaster Blaster and said to it, "Bring Aaron and Laz over here quick!" The creature nodded and it stomped toward the two. Then it picked both of them up onto its back and ran quickly into the hole in the wall, firing its lasers at the goblins.

Team 1

Luckily, Team 1 managed to get into the large exit before the entire Ice Cavern crumbled and blocked the door. The ground was back on concrete surface. Solisa panted after that heart-racing rush for dear life. "....Woah...That was..." She suddenly grinned. "Better than I expected! It was like our lives were in danger. Hee Hee Hee! I wanna do that again!" She said with glee.

Team 2

Sara hit the ground after that failed attempt to attack. She sprung up quickly jumped from wall to wall faster and faster as time passed by. If I'm going to beat her, I need to try out every tactic I can think of! After gaining burring speed, she appeared in front of Zion's face and released a Dolphin Blow attack upwards.

That's it!

Aaron was never, ever doing anything related to ice again. The symbol on Aaron's hand dissipated, and his eyes' normal hue was back. The concrete welcomed Aaron back to the earth! He almost felt like kissing it. He laughed at Solisa, whose excitement made her forget all about the skates she had donned throughout the ice that she now wore on concrete. "What is this place?" Aaron whispered to himself.

Letting Laz go and taking a breath, Aaron turned to his team and asked "Everyone alright?" He especially glanced towards Grace, as she was the one who lagged behind the rest out of the door. Hopefully his concerns for her weren't as bad as he though, she did make it out alive after all. He was grateful for Elsa's help in getting him through the small distance they had left.

His wounds from the ice golem earlier still ached throughout his body.

Millicent watched as her teammates battled. She tried to look for an opening in their opponent. Anything that could help her comrades in the battle... She clenched her fist, cursing her proficiency in healing arts and nothing else. Was simply watching the battle unfold all she could do? A shower of bullets came over the entire group, and Millicent was hit by a few of them. She cringed in pain, though tried to remain watchful. Her Protect spell managed to ward off much of the damage.

Millicent did notice something, however. Kelon was only watching the battle and not participating. Sara was also taking charge in the battle, making most of the attacks. Anton's spell had managed to have an effect as well. Millicent remembered that support doesn't just mean healing her partners when they needed it. She had to help in battles, too. "Everyone, we need to work in unison! Regardless of her strength, we can still overwhelm her with our numbers!" She reminded everyone, hoping that they'd listen to her warning. Unfortunately, discussing strategy against a human opponent would be pointless. She just hoped that she could help the others try to work more efficiently as a team. The others could use their talents together to turn the battle around. She would do her part to keep them from being knocked out.

Team 2

Zion watched the blur. So far Sara had been using direct attacks, nothing off nor was she strategizing. She just got up and charged. Something that Zion had learned early, was never a good idea. She waited until she was in front, then flapped. Turning, she tucked her wings in and threw herself into a spin, aiming to kick Sara in the back and throw her into a wall. If she succeeded or failed was irrelevant - because her next move was to teleport in a flash of light in front of Millicent.

"Apologies." She said, before tilting the girl's head and kissing her. The kiss cast Sleepga, and Millicent would have crumpled had Zion not caught and lowered her. She then turned spinning her red Blazefire.

"Leaving your supports to call for strategy.." She muttered. "Are you all trying to pass?" She again teleported in a flash of light to a perch on the far end. This was sad, and she was getting ready to call this test as failure.

A sickening, strange feeling coursed through Aaron's mind. He stepped, slowly and quietly into the room, as his footsteps echoed across the room ahead of the girls.

The combat test... Was it over yet? Or had it just begun? He wasn't able to tell, His heart pounded, but he couldn't tell why at all....

Laz's mind was in a daze as Aaron held off the chieftain, and when he carried her out of the crumbling cave.  What finally snapped her out of it was Solisa's jovial laughter, clearly feeling the rush of adrenaline from the near death experience.  The bluenette smiled a little.  Ah, I remember being just like that in my first dungeon.  Good times~

"Everyone alright?" the Technos asked as he put Laz down.  She unconsciously hugged herself, missing the warmth from the only boy.  Wait, what am I doing? the Anthros thought when she realized what she was doing, C'mon Laz, you're not some love starved twit!  You're better than this; you don't need someone to save your ass!  She fingered her belongings and found her gift still among them.  And he hasn't even taken my gift!

Wanting Aaron to have the gift, but still not really knowing how to give it, the thief went over to 'ask' him to carry her thing again.  But then he walked on ahead a little and seemed to be in a trance.  "Uh... you okay there, Aaron?"

Grace breathing hard as she sits on the ground and rest for a bit. She looks at Solisa while laughing nervously. "Yeah..... uh-huh.... sure.... like you said...." She said sarcastically. (I know she's my friend but.... She can a bit crazy sometimes when it comes with missions....) she thought as she smiles warmly at them.

The eerie feeling in the room seemed to dissipate when Aaron heard Laz's voice again.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine..." Aaron shuffled nervously, barely turning around to answer the question.

He stepped back into the proximity of Laz, Grace, Elsa and Solisa. But he noticed he wasn't the only nerve-wracked one. The ever-confident, snarky Lazuli had an expression he hadn't seen from her before.

If there were two things Aaron thought Laz were, it had to be cute and complicated.

Aaron tried to look and seem confident, standing straight and pushing his thoughts out. He didn't know what to think, no less try and cherry pick the words he was going to say to her, but his mind was slower than his mouth.

"Are you hurt?" Aaron asked. He wasn't hesitant to help her, 'cause that's the only thing he knew, and maybe a bit 'cause he liked her, like Sara said before. Was she right? Was he trying to hit on her that much?
