With the latest Pokémon Sun & Moon information, we can now say that the rumors seem to be true. Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

 

We can also reveal some BRAND NEW INFORMATION which appears to also be true (but honestly, take it with a grain of salt):

 

Alolan Form Pokemon

• The anime’s Ash-Greninja will appear in the game
• Alolan Rattata & Raticate are Dark-type
• Alolan Butterfree is Bug/Psychic
• Alolan Abra, Kadabra & Alakazam are Fighting-type
• Alolan Nidoking & Nidoqueen are Poison/Fighting-type
• Alolan Growlithe & Arcanine are Water-type
• Alolan Doduo & Dodrio are Fighting/Flying-type
• The previous versions of Pokémon which have taken on new forms will only be accessible by bringing in from older games
• Furfou gets new styles

New Alola Pokemon

• New cat Pokémon varies in type and appearance based on breeding
• There is a new snowman Pokémon line with two stages and it is Ice/Ghost
• New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
• Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf.
• Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo.

The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren

• Rowlet's final evolution will be Grass/Flying
• Litten's final evolution will be Fire/Dark
• Popplio's final evolution will be Water/Fairy
• Not to get hopes up, but there may be two final evolutions for each starter

There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island. The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly.

Well, I guess they're refreshing ideas to break the habit and update pokémon. It all seems to be going in the right direction, so Sun/Moon should be good.

I doubt that art work is legit, I know the designs can do better than that for starters, despite of shitty designs here and there.

I liked Litten's and Rowlet's evolutions... 

 

Can't wait to check the new Abra, Kadabra and Alakazam forms.

I knew I we eventually going to love Popplio. That whole Siren theme is badass.

It is, and no, it's not dumb at all. It's my favourite out of the bunch. As the sources say, It's Fire/Dark not Fire/Fighting.

Nope, the original Butterfree is Bug/Flying.

Possibly be inspired by the Portuguese Water Dog? Vulpix's and Ninetales Alola forms seem to be inspired by Arctic Foxes so it's not out of the possibility.

I saw Ash in one of those sketches. Also I'm not thrilled with Rowlet's final form, but I love Rowlet. Litten's final form is just ugly, but I'm not a huge fan of Litten to begin with. I don't really like Poplio (or however you spell it), but I like its final evolution. I'm not sure if I'll pick Rowlet and jut not evolve it, or get one with a final evolution I like.

You can stick with your opinion, I just don't think the design is stupid at all. If anything, if the leaks state that it's a Fire/Dark, it's really cool looking that it looks like a fighting type when it isn't.

Oh wow, so it seems that Sun/Moon will be the Pokemon game that changes things up and works differently than previous Gens!  This is most promising!  I can't wait to have this game, it looks like the Alola region will be one of the most fun regions yet!

Same here, ironically, after playing Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire: I feared that the Pokemon series would fall under the Call of Duty cycle in which each installment gets progressively repetitive and lackluster in content. Glad to know that the current changes being made to the series completely debunk that.  :smile:

Indeed!  For even though Pokemon has thrived with its formula, it's a good thing they're making changes!  That way, this series survives, ya know?  And all the nifty changes and diversity in Pokemon and their forms really adds to that!  What I'm most happy about, however, is that we finally get a different goal other than being Pokemon Champ in each region we've been in!  This time, we carve our own path and form a League of our own!  That's awesome, if you ask me!
